Close to our Airbnb so we came here - as it was recommended by our host. Unsure what all the high ratings are for. A pretty dingy place with decent breakfast with decent prices. I got the chocolate chip pancakes which were super big. Three giant pancakes for one serving was wild.

An excellent place for an original club sandwich. Packed on an early Sunday am. I asked for an egg to be added to it, like the good old days! The lady on the phone was helpful and my sandwich was delicious.

Had this place about 2 years ago, and still dreaming of the day I will be back!!! It was heaven, a little hole in the wall. Glad we took a chance to come here. It is a classic diner style, casual place. But boy does the food say otherwise ! Surprised to find they served eggs Benedict! In a variety of options and toppings. We had the smoked salmon selection. They have crepes and waffles too, which we tried the Strawberries and nutella style. French toast with strawberries! And a classic breakfast with sunnyside up eggs! The service is friendly, efficient and fast. Our food all came quickly and piping hot. The eggs Benedict was on a bed of spinach and smoked salmon. It was a rich creamy hollandaise sauce as well! Over all I recommend this place to others who are coming up to MTL that may be lost like I was looking for food.

festin #2, it comes with 2 eggs, bacon, sausages and a buttermilk chocolate chips pancake.

It's an old diner, with a large menu and big portions. This place was here for ages, on the saint-laurent street. I go there from time to time with my friends for a brunch; my favorite is the festin #2, it comes with eggs, bacon, sausages and a buttermilk chocolate chips pancake.

A true diner feel, nothing fancy but great food! Belgian waffle, omelets, eggs Benedict, all were awesome according to our group. The service was excellent too!

A classic brunch diner type place. Decor is super old school, and it was super busy when I went, so atmosphere was bumping! Seating a bit crowded but it's a cozy, no frills place. Menu is expansive, the usual pancakes, eggs Benedict, French toast, omelette type of deal. They give you huge portions! Food is made exactly the way you'd expect it to be. We got the bagel lox platter and the bacon avocado eggs Benedict. The poached eggs and hollandaise sauce was PERFECT. Best hollandaise I've had by far. Service is speedy. They also refill your coffee continuously Prices are competitive, you get a lot of food for the price you pay. Would come back!

    House special eggs Benedict !!

Best breakfast in North America! And I'm not lying. Man this is great food. So many lovely egg Benedict options and egg combos. The waffles and hot cakes are very tasty. Coffee is very good and the service comes with friendly smiles.

Love this breakfast place. Old fashion charm with huge portions. We need places like this in the GTA.

We stayed…read moreat Le Mount Stephen Hotel without doing much research on dining options, assuming we'd just find something nearby. But before even checking in, we had to walk through Bar George ~ and instantly knew we wanted to eat there. We were lucky enough to grab a last-minute reservation, and Julien took a good care of us throughout the evening. His recommendation of the Beef Wellington was spot on (it's already one of our favorite dishes), but this was hands down the best we've ever had. I ordered the lobster risotto, which was excellent with just the right amount of spice. My son had the 10 oz striploin steak with homemade fries (chips), and it was absolutely delicious. I also loved the Canadian touch of coarse salt on the steak, plus the option to choose between Béarnaise or peppercorn sauce. Julien also mentioned their pastry chef placed second in a NY competition, and the desserts absolutely lived up to that reputation. We tried the pineapple and coconut pavlova and the "lick me hazelnut" ~ both beautifully presented and incredibly delicious. We also ordered iced coffee and a latte, and noticed something interesting: this was the second place where we found Canadian coffee to be smooth and mild ~ such a nice change from the often bitter, over-roasted American coffee. Yes, dinner was a bit steep ($300+), but it was worth every penny. Between the rich history, stunning design, outstanding service, and unique cuisine, I would highly recommend Bar George. I would absolutely love to come back!!
