Family-run, great for families. Accommodating and kind service, even with a walk-in group of 7 or 8. Clearly a lot of love has gone into the place. It's casual, but clear that someone has put thought and energy into making it a welcoming environment. Place was full when we came in, but they got us seated shockingly quick. There were a few minor missteps along the way, a forgotten item on the order, but with all of the tables and people it was understandable - and the warmth of the service and the quality of all the other food more than made up for it. The pizza was good - their specialty pie with honey was the standout for me. And the fact that they have monthly specials? I loved seeing that they continue to tinker and innovate - that's a major green flag and tells you about their priorities. In doing reviews, I think there can be a tendency to try to speak to perfection - "it's the best ever," "it was flawless," "100%," and on. Dudes will talk for hours about rankings, and so much internet ink has been wasted on arguing which of two good things is better. People are weird like that. I'm weird like that. Writing this made me think about perfection, because the temptation here at the end is to talk about how it's the best I've ever had or something. And that just misses the point. What I really loved about our night at B&J's was how honest it was. Very friendly staff, cute Halloween decor, clean bathroom, and the star of the show is definitely the food! I had the monthly special, vampire slayer I think? It had chicken, spinach, and garlic cloves. So delicious! I ordered the ten inch, I almost ordered the 14 and I'm glad I didn't, I couldn't even finish the ten! Very delicious! We also got onion rings as an appetizer, kinda reminded me of a bloomin onion from outback, not very crunchy, but still delicious, definitely recommend their ranch! So so good! Hubby got the garlic o holic and he loved it, my son inhaled his kids pepperoni pizza, next time I will order him a ten inch and my daughter loved the kids Alfredo. Great family owned business. Owner kept coming to check on us. We got a Cobb salad, mr meaty , & Alfredo Cheese pizza. We had great service and just a fun atmosphere. The picture doesn't do it justice, it was a classic club sandwich with 2 slices of bread (which I personally love). I ended up taking 1/2 of it home cause with all the tater tots, I was full with 1/2 a sandwich. This is the old BJ's, and I missed my favorite entomatadas, but am glad to see they've added dessert. My husband had the chicken enchiladas, they were a bit dry, could have used some sauce in the chicken. It was nice to see cheese sauce on top. we went as a family, my wife had the pepperoni pizza and she loved it very crunchy crust. the kids had cheese burgers and fries and I had the meat pizza and salad bar salad bar is great a lot to choose from. the atmosphere was very relaxing not very busy and they were other children there making noise as ours were.the service was great till she spilt some sweet tea and made a remark using a cuss word which my son copied. she quickly apologized and said it just slipped out. if that is how Jackie the server works. we would not encourage small children to eat there . my wife asked for the owner and was told they were not available some apologies are just not enough we won't be back . read more

The decor was much like any locally owned restaurant but where they hit a home run was their food and service. The service was great just what you expect from any American small town. The food was amazing calzone was fresh, hot and cooked just right. There wasn't any gooey dough like you encounter with some pizzerias. The pizza rolls were exactly the way they were were supposed to be. Selected deserts are hand made by the owner and definitely cannot go without mentioning. My husband loves pizza. So, on a whim, we drove 45 minutes to eat here. It did not disappoint. The owners and staff were so kind and accommodating. Our waitress recommended the cheese bread for an app. My husband doesn't particularly care for cheese bread but we ordered it anyway. It was phenomenal or the marinara was. Either way, we devoured it. My husband loved it. We then ordered two pizzas: the green chili one (the Santa Fe) and the Italian. We had a hard time choosing a favorite as both were so good. The hubby is already talking about bringing the kids back.
