Let me just say Benjamin and Jerry really know what they are doing when it comes to ice cream. Great stuff!! Waffle cone n all!! I went there after seeing the new marvel movie The Thunderbolts with my grown son Trevor. Side note where is the Iron Man or Hulk?? Like what the heck? I'm sitting to see some Spiderman!! lol. But back to the desert!! Delicious n creamy!! The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because my grown son Trevor ate so much ice cream that his poop came out cold... Don't know what to do. Any advice please share.

A good place to get a treat near the mall and the movie theater. Ben & Jerry's started in 1978 when childhood friends Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield opened their first scoop shop in a renovated gas station in Burlington, Vermont. What began as a small business with a $12,000 investment has grown into a global ice cream company with over 600 stores worldwide, including several locations across Florida. I have been to several of their stores over the years. A visit to a typical Ben & Jerry's ice cream store in Florida is enjoyable and fun and great on a hot day. The stores have a relaxed atmosphere with colorful murals, friendly staff, and the smell of freshly baked waffle cones. At all stores that I have visited, I have found a great selection of flavors, including popular choices like Cherry Garcia, Chunky Monkey, and Phish Food. They have non-dairy, vegan, and sorbet options to ensure there's something for everyone. I was waiting for a friend at the Oaks Mall and decided to stop in to get a treat. I am glad I did. It is conveniently located between the movie theater and a restaurant. There is seating inside and a couple of tables outside. The store was clean, the staff was nice. The prices seem high but the ice cream is delicious and there are not a lot of ice cream shops around. Overall, a visit to this (or any) Ben & Jerry's in Florida is a great place to get a wonderful treat.

Clean. Quick & friendly service. Plenty of flavors & options. No complaints, my sons love the ice cream. (&) I appreciate how they speak up & stand for different causes. We will continue to patron & enjoy the variety of desserts.

My two new flavors worth trying!

It seems the Melbourne/Palm Bay area is rich when it comes to ice cream choices. We even have some unique places that sell certain kinds of frozen desserts such as gelato at Le Macaron and frozen custard at Rita's. However, there is one ice cream shop that stands out for its unique combinations over the rest: Ben & Jerry's. The only Ben & Jerry's located in the Melbourne/Palm Bay area is in the Premier Theater shopping plaza on Hibiscus Blvd. If it helps, it is the shopping plaza just north of Melbourne Square Mall and within the plaza itself, it is in between Premier Theater and Hemingway's Tavern. Visually, it recently got an upgrade with a new layout and painted walls. You can tell they decorated the place to cater more for children as there are kid's games setup within the area. However, the real star of Ben & Jerry's is of course the ice cream. Where other places have simple flavors like vanilla and chocolate, Ben & Jerry's has those flavors but also has unique flavors or combinations that are at least worth sampling. To top it off, they have some of the most memorable names given to them too. Below are the two classics you should try out. 1. Chunky Monkey - Banana ice cream with fudge chunks and walnuts. 2. Phish Food - Chocolate ice cream with caramel and marshmallow swirls and fish-shaped fudge. Of course Ben & Jerry's makes more unique combination flavors. Their newest ones are P.B. Doughable Chocolate, Gimme S'more, Cinndoughrella, Chocolate Shake It, and Chip Off The Dough Block. To conclude, this is one of the places I like to try something new when it comes to ice cream. The prices are not bad for what you get and you can actually bring your ice cream into the theater. This makes a nice cold treat while watching a movie. All and all, a perfect score for what they have and what they provide. Really can't go wrong with them for ice cream.

Excellent as always! LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. I wish the music was softer so we could talk but there is outside seating if necessary. The Ice Cream never disappoints!! What can I say...IT IS BEN & Jerry's! Please bring back Dastardly Mash!

Employees are polite and friendly. Ice cream is delicious! 4/5 as they're advertising cones to be "Zero Waste All The Taste".. but then proceeded to put a spoon on top of it. There's seating outside if you want to enjoy there.

I got the cold brew coffee fudge chip and salted caramel blonde, I haven't been here forever, the associated were very friendly

GREAT ice cream, clean store and FANTASTIC staff. What I love even more, is that they are open and welcoming to EVERYONE! From Banned books to LGBTQ+, they are a safe place in our community. Thank you for all you do!

    Whit's Frozen Custard - Melbourne

**INITIAL REVIEW**…read more Firstly, I have indulged in Whit's Frozen Custard multiple times on different occassions, with the last time being at Grace Community Church in West Melbourne, FL during one of their special Sunday events. This is probably the first time - that I can remember - I ate frozen custard directly from their brick-and-mortar store located in Historic Downtown Melbourne. So was Whit's Frozen Custard, at least the locale in Historic Downtown Melbourne, a yay or a nay? Frozen custard-wise, it is a yay, but in general, it is not necessarily a nay, but more an observation that can make or break a patron's view of wanting to go to Whit's Frozen Custard (which I will shorthand simply to Whit's for the remainder of this review) or somewhere else. Even though an address is provided, Whit's is located in the East side of Historic Downtown Melbourne, in between Crush XI and Constant Pressure Tattoo Shop. I must stress that Whit's is probably not handicap accessible as the only way in and out has four steps. Inside is quite minimalistic with its overuse of the color white (which kinda fits with their name) and stainless steel, but it fits their theme. The seating is also minimalistic, but it is assumed most people will take their custard and walk with it around and about downtown. Whit's also has numerous flavors pre-packaged for sale, but their flavors they have ready-to-serve is minimal. You can choose either vanilla, chocolate, or the flavor of the day. Today when I went, the two flavors for Sunday was peach and Heath bar. I had two scoops of peach were a nice amount of frozen custard to eat for like $6. Not bad for the price they provide. Given the information above, this is either a yay or nay compared to other frozen custard places. Other places have more options, but they are not necessarily top tier across the board. Other places may be less in price, but the amount of frozen custard you get will be less than the price you pay with Whit's. Like I said, these are not criticisms, but more like personal observations that cater to one's preferences. With that in mind, I am going to give Whit's three out of five stars. They are a-okay with what they have and what they have is delicious, but depending on my mood, I will either go to them... or not. Now if they are consistent with this setup, I will definitely give them an extra star for said consistency. But right now, they are three stars meaning they are a-okay.

The staff were very helpful in explaining options and toppings. The store is extremely clean…read more Several to go flavors. Great little spot in Downtown Melbourne.

**FAREWELL REVIEW**…read more After what I think may have been a couple of years, I am saddened to write that Wonder Waffel in Melbourne is officially closed since 9 p.m. on Sunday night, August 30th. It was their last "hurrah" as money went to charity, as long-time patrons enjoyed one last wonder waffel, and for me, a chance for my friends who never got to enjoy a wonder waffel to have a taste of it, too. Everything from my previous post WAS in effect until they closed plus more, but I wanted to give one last update on how wonderful Serena and Jack are, and how much their business have brought together the community and enticed my fellow Yelpers to come all the way from Orlando just to try them. Their food was always on top for what they served. You have to understand that whole foods made the way they had is always going to be in a pricier side, but what you get is good, excellent even. They soon expanded with grilled cheese waffles, ice creams, and smoothies. All were good. But what makes Wonder Waffel amazing is how much it gave back to the community, the same community that did everything to give to them. They've supported numerous charitable causes, local businesses, and was even the location of my first letterbox hide in the international scavenger hunt game, letterboxing (similar to geocaching but way older and more old school). Wonder Waffel is now closed, but the legacy that Serena and Jack left behind will always be cherished amongst those close to them, especially since many friendships were established with them. And to be fair, the fact they are a niche and their location - which I have mentioned in my initial review - is a terrible location in my honest opinion, they've endured. I can only wish them the best in their future endeavors while this sweet chapter in their lives, in our lives, comes to a close.
