The service was good and the ice cream is good. I am giving only two stars because it is outrageously expensive and they don't have prices anywhere. I got a small cup of vanilla ice cream with sprinkles and it was $10.54 after tax. I would have probably walked out had I seen the prices prior to ordering. It's fine to price things as expensive as you would like, but you should clearly display this to customers as these prices are not the norm for an ice cream shop, even one in a high rent touristy area. read more

I was out on a beautiful hot summer day, saw a Ben & Jerry's ice cream parlor and thought I'd treat myself to something cold and sweet. I looked at the display, and sampled butter pecan, strawberry swirl, strawberry, and strawberry cheesecake. I liked all the flavors but it was a toss-up between butter pecan and strawberry swirl. Strawberry swirl won out, since it is a flavor that I've never had before and it is non-dairy made with oat milk, I ordered it in a waffle cup. I was concerned with the ice cream flavors, so when it was time to pay, I almost passed out because of shock. Even with a military discount, the cost was $12.34. I expected to pay no more than $7.00, not $12. I had no one to blame, it was my fault and I was mad at myself for assuming what the cost would be. I paid for the ice cream and left the parlor. The strawberry swirl was good to the very last spoonful. The waffle cup was not the best, it was not fresh and I contemplated returning to Ben & Jerry's but was too far away to turn back. I believe that if Ben & Jerry's is going to charge such excessive prices, then the product should always be of the highest quality, without exception. My star rating for the ice cream is 5, the waffle cup -5, and the price 3. I'll definitely purchase Ben & Jerry's strawberry swirl again if I can locate it in a grocery store. read more

I've always loved Ben and Jerry's ice cream and usually get this at the grocery store. I've been to the Vienna location but saw this one on the way back to the car after dinner and had to stop in. I was surprised by how many different cone options they had an opted for a cookies and cream one. I've never seen this option at any ice cream spot and it was delicious! I got a scoop of PB sundae and strawberry marshmallow and both were great. It was a hefty serving but it all fit on the cone! Service was quick as well. My cone and my friend's single scoop in a cup came to about $19 which is a little steep but Ben & Jerry's is always worth it. I know old town had some other ice cream options but I find Ben and Jerry's to be the highest quality! Next time, I think I'll visit in the daytime and grab some ice cream for a walk as it is located right near the water in old town! Highly recommend for quality ice cream. read more

I don't care what "progressive" causes they support -- their main cause should be the happy experience of their customers. It isn't. I was charged $26 for a small ice cream cone, a small cup of ice cream, and a small cookie. This is X-rated level obscene. Full frontal robbery. When someone in a store sticks a gun in my face this way, my children eat, and I don't. There is no other way to navigate these situations, other than not to go there at all, and Ben & Jerry's, despite all of the blah-blah-blah about everyone being treated fairly and equitably and kindly, shoves your money in their pocket and shuffles away from the cash register with a smirk and a little drop of blood running down their cheek from the corner of their mouth. Great service! My boyfriend and I randomly stopped by on Easter Sunday and regardless of it being busy the one worker was super kind and helpful! I forgot to ask for the workers name but he deserves a raise!! Working alone on a busy holiday in a nice part of town is challenging as is! A great little ice cream shop in the middle of old town with Bubbles to help you find your way there. I would not expect to find parking anywhere near there. But all the ice cream is great as usual, with good amount of choice. Also I would ever get in the water because just across the street Starbucks will give you free water. I've always been a fan of how Ben & Jerry's is active in the communities where they are located. Just so happens today after lunch, ran into an officer and a lovely lady from one of the local community agencies that supports children in the area. They advised that today with just a tip, you could receive free ice cream!! The tips donated go directly to the community organization. As you can imagine, the traffic was steady so it was busy on the inside but they were ready!! Fully staffed with smiling faces ready to serve and keep the line moving with the donation bucket at the end of the line. You had a choice of cup or cone or if you are like me, put my cone in a cup to catch the ice cream drip especially on a warm day!! Butter Pecan is always legendary and never lets me down! The cone was fresh so it had that crisp as you bite into it! Location was clean and the doors were wide open just welcoming you inside!! read more

This scoop shop has 23 flavors available to be served. There were a few more different flavors in pint-size containers. This review briefly describes 21 of the flavors and 3 flavors in detail. A kid's cup gets one scoop, a small cup gets 2 scoops, and a large cup gets 3 scoops. I got a small cup with a scoop of Peanut Butter Cup Sundae ice cream and a scoop of Cherry Garcia ice cream. I also got a pint of Whiskey Biz Topped ice cream to take home. The Peanut Butter Cup Sundae had peanut butter ice cream with peanut butter cups and fudge swirls. The peanut butter flavor and sweetness were mild, which made the flavors from the fudge and peanut butter cups stand out. This was a smooth blend of similar flavors, which made the fudge the notable flavor. Otherwise, this wasn't interesting. It's a great choice if you love peanut butter.    The Cherry Garcia ice cream had cherry ice cream with cherries and fudge flakes. The cherry flavor in the ice cream was mild, along with the sweetness. The cherries had a mix of sweetness and tartness that were well-balanced. The "fudge" flakes were pieces of dark chocolate. This was rich and creamy with a full-bodied flavor.    The Whiskey Biz Topped ice cream had brown butter bourbon ice cream with blonde brownies & whiskey caramel swirls topped with white chocolatey ganache & white fudge chunks. There is Whistlepig whiskey in the caramel swirls. The whiskey had a rich bright flavor that was quite tasty. The flavor was prominent, so if you don't like whiskey, don't get this. The ice cream flavor was mainly overly sweet white chocolate with a light flavor of brown butter and rye whiskey.  I found a 3" X 2" X 1.5" rectangular chunk of white chocolate in the pint of ice cream. That's an annoying mistake on Ben and Jerry's part. Don't get this unless you love white chocolate and rye whiskey. The following is a list of the ice cream flavors that were available for scooping individual servings. Chocolate Ice Cream Lemonade sorbet (this is a sorbet, not ice cream) Vanilla Ice Cream Butter Pecan: rich buttery ice cream with roasted pecans. No complaints at all I just never give 5 stars. Had lunch at Volas but dessert at B&J. The lady working was soooo pleasant and she seemed to enjoy what she was doing. I had the cookies and milk in a cup.... not for me but that's ok cause I also picked up a chocolate chip and sugar cookie to share. OMG the chocolate was loaded with giant pieces of chocolate. Sugar cookie is normally my fav but their version is softer than I prefer but loaded with butter. Both were good but I would get the chocolate chip solo. Love how they are bring echo friendly using wooden instead of plastic spoons.
