I came here on a whim because across from it was a Sephora (it's not open until 27 September). When…read moreI realized Sephora was closed, I ventured into the bakery. It was empty and I didn't see anyone going in or out. I did look at the Google reviews tho and probably should've listened. To be honest, I'm not a big fan of cheesecake, but I was trying to support a local B.O.B. and they have signs that highlighted how many shows they were featured on. So, I decided to give them a try. The owner was extremely friendly and the establishment was clean, that's why I gave it 2 stars. They are extremely pricey for the small portion that you receive. They're $9.99 plus tax. But, since I had on a white top and she was celebrating "Frankie Beverly day", which I guess you're supposed to wear white (no clue), she gave me 10% off. They had a variety of cheesecakes such as strawberry lemonade, regular, chocolate and such. The owner said one of the most popular desserts in there was the "nana pudding". Honestly, none of the cheesecakes looked appetizing. I wonder how long they'd been sitting there. Since it was in a completely separate case from the cheesecake and since it literally said "banana pudding" in parenthesis,I naturally assumed that it was banana pudding. The top of it even resembled banana pudding. However, once I opened it, I soon realized that it wasn't banana pudding, it was cheesecake with nilla wafers on top. Anyways, I tried it and didn't like it. It's super dense and heavy. I didn't taste a crust at all. It literally was banana flavored cheesecake with nilla wafers on top. Definitely not banana pudding. It was so dense, thick and super banana powered, that I stopped eating it. Normally, I don't care about the price of food if I like it. But, to me, it was overpriced and didn't taste good.

The bathroom is clean and passcode-protected. The aesthetic is pretty and elegant. The man behind the counter was polite and patient, answering a couple of silly questions for me with a smile. They were out of most of their sandwiches when I happened to pop in, but despite settling for my 3rd choice on the menu, it was still a tasty, satisfying lunch. I am not close enough to visit frequently, but I would certainly come back here with friends.

Either way I just found Lily's Chocolate & Coffee while venturing up and down King Street, and well with the help of Yelp because this was a plan to visit later in October. But, I decided my kiddos needed a treat. Located on a corner you walk into hues of pink, florals and the smell of chocolate and coffee. I became immediately distracted by the toppings and melted chocolate. But, when I snapped out of it, I was able to place my order. I opted for the Dubai chocolate inspiration over strawberries. If I remember correctly it was around $20 five or take. The cafe is so cute. It is small and if crowded be prepared to navigate that. There is bathrooms inside but, I do not know if it is for customers or not, as they were locked when we were there. The staff were just starting for the day. But they were helpful, kind and ready to roll. Once we received our order we sat down and dug right in. The strawberries were fresh, large and draped over in chocolate, pistachio cream and katifia. This is not my first time having Dubai chocolate or Dubai inspired chocolate. I thoroughly enjoy it over strawberries. There is just something about chocolate ad strawberries. Overall a wonderful place. I highly recommend visiting
