Stopped in here recently with the fam. Smallest size ice cream is now two scoops!?!?! Was taken aback.... Kids scoop - nope, single scoop - nope. Spent close to $30 for three small cups of ice cream. Got a rude response from the employee when asking if they offered a kids size. A lady beside me said they used to offer a kids size but not anymore. Surprise, surprise. We live in the neighborhood but hard to justify coming anymore. Delicious ice cream and super friendly staff. I wish I would have asked the employees name who helped us last night (2/17 at 7:20pm) because she was great. We were greeted upon entry and thanked on the way out. She had a very positive attitude, let us try samples and found a way for us to get the most bang for our buck. We split a small scoop which is two scoops and each chose a flavor ($5.91) I had the cherry Garcia and my boyfriend has the CK dairy free option. Both were fresh and delicious. My husband ordered an ice cream cake and we had to pick it up some time after 2 pm. It was a little annoying because we had to wait in the long line just to get the ice cream cake while others were trying out samples and ordering their ice cream. The ice cream cake itself was very pretty but we did wish they used a different color for the lettering. It was a very dark brown almost black. My husband wished they used purple or something else. We got vanilla and sweet cream and cookies ice cream. Both were delicious and creamy and paired well. The cake part was chocolate and was very similar to a brownie which we loved. She acted as if we were inconveniencing her and was very unprofessional, scoffing and frowning the entire time, despite the store not closing for another 40 minutes. I never knew Ben & Jerry's had stand alone locations until visiting! The ice cream was amazing and was far better than I expected. I was never really a Ben & Jerry's fan until having them here, I'll definitely be back. My only gripe is that i found the waffle cups to have a very strange taste that i didn't enjoy. read more

Yummy ice cream and friendly staff! I came here on a rainy Friday night not expecting a crowd but the place was still pretty packed! The workers greeted us, and the guy scooping our ice cream was very friendly & funny, bantering with my friend and me as we chatted and figured out what flavors we wanted. I ordered a small in a cone and wasn't sure what second flavor to order, and he gave me a few recommendations that would pair well with my first one which was very nice. I got the marshmallow sky and triple caramel chunk which were both delicious. I don't eat ice cream often but I will need to come back to try the other flavors :) read more

Neat little Ben & Jerry's here in what appears to be an old house. I wonder if someone once lived here. Before the road was paved and the farm was sold to build a shopping center. At night the area is a bit secluded and dark, it's kinda hard to tell how to get in. Looks like your usual ice cream shop inside. They have some campy decorations and homages to the founders around the walls. There's a giant pop-up VW bus prop where I suppose you could go take your picture. Staff was helpful and friendly. There's a cooler of the pints you can find in grocery stores but I imagine you're actually here for some ice cream to be scooped and served. Or perhaps a cake. They have most of the basic ice cream flavors including some small batches that you won't find in their pints anywhere in stores. On the flip side, the ice cream they serve doesn't always include everything you can find in pints anywhere. For my part, I will always prefer the premade pints of chocolate chip cookie dough to the stuff they serve in the store. The cookie dough chunks are larger and more common in the pints. Lastly, the store was okay on the cleanliness and tidiness side. And prices weren't bad but I think I'd rather go to a local joint like Golden Cow or Two Scoops where you can get more for your money. For B&J's I'll stick to the store-bought pints. read more

We had our son's 4 yr old birthday party at Ben and Jerry's. Jacob ran the event and did an excellent job with 10 3-4 yr olds. The kids made cookies, ice cream, did tie dye shirts, had pizza (Brixx next door) and had ice cream cake/sang happy birthday. It was very organized, they kept kids busy and overall was very fun. Each child got a to-go bag with their t-shirt and cookie. The store was closed to the public (2 hrs before opening time at 12). I'd highly recommend hosting a birthday party here and working with Jacob! read more

This sweet tooth spot is located in a mini shopping center. Decent spot where you can get your sweet tooth fix. The ice cream isn't made fresh and they have more of an extended variety in the grocery store then they do at the ice cream shop. The staffs knowledge is a hit or miss depends on the day, the worker, and time. They occasionally have groupons. I got an ice cream cake and despite thawing it out it was like a hard rock. I am not sure of the expiration date of the item, but I have had some ice cream cakes before none where it's this hard. They have indoor and out door seating. I am a fan of Ben and Jerries, but this location is okay overall. With Jenny's opening, cold stone, and many more the competition is stiff. Hope they can keep up. read more

Mmm...Ben & Jerry's ice cream on a hot summer day. Is there anything better? This Ben & Jerry's store is convenient to our home and I love that the store looks like a little house. It gives it that small-town ice cream stand feel. They have gobs of flavors, just like the grocery stores pack in their freezer section, and it's always tough deciding which one. There isn't a lot of seating inside, and what there is feels tightly packed, but there's just enough seating to eat quick and leave. (I guess they don't want people hanging out dripping ice cream all over their laptops or anything.) More outdoor seating would be nice, though! (hint, hint) Being that it's so close (and SO HOT in the summer in Charlotte), we'd probably go to Ben & Jerry's more often if not for the pricing. I have a hard enough time buying their pints at full price in the grocery store so I wait for a sale. $4-$5 for an ice cream cone? When you have five people, that adds up. Quick. read more

It was a warm day in late February and I had a taste for coffee. I thought I would stop in a Ben & Jerrys for the first time since I always drive by this location. I thought coffee ice cream should be good. I sampled the coffee, Coffee buzz buzz and one other with chocolate and caramel. The coffee one overpowered the taste of the second one and I loved the chocolate chucks. I got it in a chocolate dipped cone. It was good. The cone was a little light in taste but held together well. I hope you'll add a cone with chocolate frozen at the bottom. It cost about $5. Not bad, average price, and much better taste compared to the frozen B&J stuff in grocery stores otherwise I would have kept driving. read more

My husband and I come here quite often. We don't have any good ice cream places where we live so we make quite the drive to get here. The staff is always super friendly and the establishment is always neat and clean. Sometimes when we get here, it's super busy. Other times it can be slow. The staff do a great job of getting the orders tackled at a decent pace. If you have any questions, they are more than willing to answer them. It's not the greatest ice cream around. But it does the trick when it's all your craving. My husband enjoys ordering the strawberry or the vanilla ice cream. (Boring right?? I always like driving by this Ben & Jerry's since it's right off of Fairview and on the way home from a trip to Southpark (for me). It's a plus and minus at the same time since I can always feel the wheel of the car wanting to turn in and grab a cone or cup. There are many flavors to choose from as well as a variety of options to take in ice cream from shakes to cones and sundaes... it's probably a good bed that you can find a flavor you like - plus they let you sample some if you can't decide right then and there. My last visit, I was just driving through so I needed something that was pretty mobile. I went with a shake... it was good, but I kinda felt a little cheated since the pictures on the menu versus what you actually get are a little misleading. Same goes for the regular cones and things... yes, it's Ben & Jerry's, but man I just wish it was priced a little better for the hard working joe-schmo like me. [In retro spec... The staff at this Ben and Jerry's is the BEST!! I have been in 4 times in the last 2.5 days due to my son getting his wisdom teeth out. (Milkshakes are great for that!) On my second visit, the staff member remembered me and packed the milkshake in an amazing homemade ice bag so it wouldn't melt on my way home! Today, a staff member I had never seen before asked me if I was the customer whose son had his wisdom teeth removed. After I said yes (amazed that he knew that and bothered to ask), he told me he really hopes my son is feeling better today! If that's not stellar customer service, I don't know what is! This place seemed to be a little dirty. The staff was friendly, but I just felt I couldn't touch anything around me. The bathroom toilet was also clogged all the way to the brim with something not very nice, that I won't mention. It made me feel a little sick. I got my ice cream and left. The lady serving me the icecream said the hot fudge machine wasn't even on. Her coworker just laughed and said "oh thats funny."
