I do want to taste my way through their summer menu (particularly the blueberry French toast, which is a coffee drink with blueberry cold foam), but I actually asked for something off-menu, a lavender frappe with vanilla base -- if you've seen my cheers about Bitty & Beau's (miss having them right downtown WS), that's the one they named for me. They made it in no time flat (seriously, never had a beverage whipped up so quickly) and it tasted just like home.

The hilarious "dad jokes" he puts on each cup of coffee bring a smile to your face. The coffee is consistently delicious and my girls love the hot chocolate. Friendly service then and now, but the equipment and setup have gotten a huge upgrade! Dad Joke Coffee is now operating out of an open-air food truck. If you follow them on social media, including Facebook, you'll see a schedule of where the truck is going to be daily. The last time I got coffee from this business, I chose an iced butterscotch salted caramel. It was strong, sweet, and refreshing! I was sipping on it for hours and it blew my usual Starbucks drink out of the water. One thing that makes this place special is the branding. Grandma's Coffee has been on my bucket list for months! Today I finally got the chance to try the…read morematcha that so many of you post about.  There is matcha, and there's Grandma's matcha! Honestly! You have to check out their schedule and give it a try.  Here's the experience: Ariana, the owner, made me a top-grade matcha with real cookie butter spread around the inside of the cup and cookies on top! It was SO GOOD!  Lauren and Ariana educated me on matcha, we took photos, and it was great to finally meet them! Excellent service! They're providing the best coffee and matcha.  Grandma's Coffee is a mobile truck, but today they were downtown Rideunited Winston-Salem. Unlike the downtown Starbucks which will be 10 cars deep and take you 30 minutes. Coffee better than most places and the staff here is nothing but friendly. I like places where they know your order unlike the many corporate fast food places in Kernersville who can't keep staff for more than a week. Sadly the "old farts" who run this town keep giving them a hard time about having a drive thru. Apparently locally run small business is not what they want in this town and more corporate low quality fast food is more the town boards idea of quality.
