I was delivering a pizza to this Starbucks location and the employee I handed the pizza to asked If I wanted a drink and I told her I'm good because I have to get back to work. Starbucks is known for its consistency. Consistency of beverages, quality, timing, and customer service. There are times that this is broken by stores for whatever reason. Maybe it's busy and the staff is overwhelmed, or there are other customers holding up the line, or heck, it could just be a bad day, but my visit to the Kernersville Starbucks was perfect this time. Went through the drivethru with my family and we ordered a Toasted white mocha (a seasonal favorite), a cake pop for my daughter, and two iced coffees, unsweetened with eggnog. The last being my absolute favorite this time of year. If you've never had eggnog in your coffee, you should try it at least once. So good! The barista was kind, helpful and efficient, and our drinks were made perfectly to order. We got through the drivethru line lickety-split. I was a barista for 10 years and I know how difficult it is, at times, to maintain perfection, as so many people expect from a Starbucks. I sometimes stop in here if I am on my way to Greensboro and want to grab a quick drink. Every time I go this place seems to be a bit of a hot mess. The line moves very slow and it takes awhile to get your drink. Today it was extra slow and there was some situation happening with the phone. When my drink finally arrived it was non-fat, and I unfortunately don't like using skim milk. When i said sorry but I didn't order non-fat he looked at me like I was lying. Why would I order non-fat and then ask for whip cream on top, doesn't that completely negate non-fat? I understand they are busy and under a lot of pressure to get everything out on time and correct, but this location doesn't seem to do it with ease. I will be back if I am on Business 40 and need to make a quick stop but it definitely isn't my first choice. read more

A very busy location but considering the traffic service has always been prompt and courteous. If you are short on time, order and pay ahead via the Starbucks app. You may also want to stay away from the drive thru as the traffic can be insane. You are better off ordering through the app and picking up inside. read more

I come to this starbucks all the time, they never put whipped cream on top of the drinks that are supposed to have them so today I decided to ask for it specifically just to make sure, the girl at the window said "that actually comes with whipped cream so you won't have to pay extra for it" so i was like okay, fair enough. Low and behold, when I got to the window not only was there not whipped cream on it, but they had also sprinkled cinnamon on top of the ice as if there were a point to that. We also asked for ice on the other drink ordered and the entire cup was mostly filled with ice. Not impressed. update: decided to go back and try again, and they got my order completely wrong, i got two of the exact same thing and they gave me to completely different orders, only one of them was right. insanely annoying. read more

My neighborhood Starbucks is perfect. It doesn't matter whether I'm in the drive-thru or in store, my order is perfection.

This is my "home" Starbucks and as much as I want to love it I can't. They serve mediocre drinks at best and consistently get my order wrong. The people are great, however there are constantly new employees. Most recently I ordered a double tall caramel macchiato and a grande dark roast w/ vanilla (for a friend). I get to work and there's no vanilla... How can I trust there's an extra shot of espresso? I understand mistakes here and there but after a while mistakes add up when especially when you pay for extra add-ons. read more

The employees at this branch are personable and nice. And there's more parking than there is seating. Here's a few that get to me: 1. When did Starbucks start asking for your first name? I liked it better when they yelled, "Grande Americano", "Tall Latte" and "Venti Chai". Call me a grouch but I don't want everyone to know my name. 2. The service is slow. I visit at least one Starbucks daily, no matter where I am. This one was great as far as getting us in and out, and making sure our drinks were punched in correctly. The staff was nice, the place was clean. The only reason I'm giving it four stars is because my drink literally tasted like milk with sugar in it. It was awful. Unfortunately, I was already back on the road before I even took a sip, and I wasn't heading backwards on my road trip because of a crappy coffee. My goal of reviewing every Starbucks in the United States continues with this one in Kernersville. This one gets special recognition for the friendliness of the staff. You know how sometimes you get those survey's from Starbucks that ask you if the staff "tried to get to know you" and you have to answer the lowest score? This is likely due to the lack of the staff actually recognizing that you are a person who might enjoy a bit of conversation. The staff at this Starbucks, particularly one very pleasant woman whose name I forgot, actually gets the fact that Starbucks is supposed to be about more than just coffee. After a short friendly funny conversation, I walked away with my coffee with a smile wondering why every other Starbucks doesn't have at least one person with the same pleasant personality. Perhaps if I get a survey for this location I can finally give a high score. read more

The worst Starbucks around. They never have order ahead turned on, which forces everyone through an absurdly long, impossible to exit drive thru. Then they randomly close at odd times. Like 4:30 on a Friday afternoon. Really? That's top time for coffee, guys. Then they always seem to be out of whipped cream. Maybe make more? Or prepare for the demand? Idk. Dropped in this location while in town visiting family to get my Starbucks fix. The staff was nice, but slow a Christmas and they weren't even busy. The store was clean and relaxing. Invariably, without fail, at least one item of my order ends up being unavailable 90% of the times I have visited this location. Today it was the Spicy Chorizo breakfast sandwich. On previous visits, they have failed to have 1) savory spinach foldover 2) ham and cheese foldover 3) almond croissant 4) the reduced fat turkey bacon egg white sandwich and 5) banana bread. How can you be out of banana bread???? In any event, while this location is fine for ordering your standard, cookie-cutter latte, it never has breakfast items in stock. Its only saving grace is the location and convenience, right on Main Street with a drive thru. However, I have literally driven across town to the one on 68 in High Point just to avoid the utter disappointment and frustration of not having my order fulfilled. read more

Having moved back to the area, I go there often. I'm from Kernersville, and it is crazy to think that the once itty-bitty town now has three different Starbucks locations. Of them all, this location has the friendliest people. The barista knows my name and often has my drink waiting for me by the time I've ordered. Also, this branch is the only one in Kernersville to my knowledge that accepts the Rewards card. Sometimes the service can be slow, but it is mostly due to the fact that the place is always swamped. read more

My co- workers and I go to starbucks everyday and a few times weve gone there we encountered issues with a staff member. Most of the employees there are very friendly and helpful. Today I went there and as usual Carol waiting on me as she does most days and generally I order the same things and today she over charged me and I advised her that she was charging me incorrectly and she began to argue with me. I work for Kernersville dodge and I order this drink 5 to 6 days a week and I have the prices in my head but instead of hearing me out she continue to tell me I was wrong. I was very dissatisfied with her behavior and will not continue to support a business with employees that argue with customer we as a dealership spend an average if 25-30 a day at this location and Im not at all happy about this. read more

Its hit or miss here. For instance my husband picked me up a PSL this morning and it was watered down. A wasted drink that went down the drain. Last week it was too strong! I order soy in my lattes and half the time they forget. You would think as much as we pay for these drinks they could at least get them right! Terrible experience here. Just moved to K Ville and have gone to their drive thru several times. There service was always so polite but drinks seemed a little off like maybe missing my espresso shot but hey it was getting the job done on my way to work. I went today and decided to walk in because the drive thru was super packed. A woman started taking my order, my usual is super basic. I start by stating I want a grande hot coffee, light cream and before I could finish cuts me off asking what did I mean. I explained just a small amount of cream. She looked at me crazy and said I don't understand we used whipped cream and 2%. I was confused but despite her very bad attitude I politely said, whatever kind of creamer you all are using today just put a light amount. She tells me to step aside that she was going to take the guys order behind me because she knows what he wants . Just forget me standing in line for 7 minutes?! Gets back to and I repeat again and she's like ohhhh not Hit Chocolate, Hot Coffee! If she would have clarified earlier this could have prevented this. Extremely extremely poor experience. read more

I enjoyed the old starbucks location, downside no drive thru. I am a regular, my orders are very basic....in other words they are drinks specifically on the menu, I just may add a shot or two. Since moving to their new location they are HORRIBLE. Even when they are super slow (hardly anyone inside sitting, no line inside or out) it takes forever to get your drink...and its almost always WRONG. No flavor to the drinks that should have flavor ("hot milk") and no shots when you pay extra to add them. Not to mention, God forbid you order a cold brew...it won't be cold brew it will be iced coffee...which is completely different. If I can avoid it, I skip this starbucks all together (and FYI I live in kernersville)...they make better drinks at the one in Target...which is a shame. Not really sure what happened when they made the switch to their new location. Avoid it if possible, and go to another location. read more

Great Starbucks to come to during the day if you come at night it's going to suck. Just had my drink messed up twice finally just took what I could get and they charge me two dollars more then other stores wood for the same drink.
