CT realty partners goes by another name, which is called Vacancy Busters, it is owned by Fran, so I…read moream posting this review here to warn people off from getting scammed like I unfortunately did: I know property management companies get a lot of bad reviews usually from tenants. This is a review of Vacancy Busters from a landlord. If I could give them negative stars I would. If you are a landlord run as far away from this company as you possibly can. I am also out of state and entrusted my property with them. The "owner" of the company is Fran, initially when setting up the rental she was very responsive and the only person I talked to. My four units were full except for one unit at the time. It seemed like it was going OK, there was some repair expenses but I am fine with that, but it was taking them a while to fill the final unit. They did finally fill the final unit. Great I thought, finally all are full! Then the other renters that had previous been there stopped paying their rent. Then I find out they are ALL leaving at the same time. I could not get an explanation why, Fran told me it was because they were angry at the previous owners... OK, I wasn't sure if there was anything I could have done to make them happier, and never got an explanation. Then the renter they filled stopped paying his rent, and come to find out he only had a 6 month lease and was leaving. At this point Fran stopped responding to me every and I had to only talk to people in the office. They told me the 6 month leaseholder had left and turned in his keys, moved out. He hadn't been paying and probably wouldn't pay. Now my units were completely empty except for one remaining tenant who was also leaving. When I asked why she was leaving to VB, they said she needed to find a bigger place... ok fine. Then 3 months went by without them filling a single unit, I didn't tell them what to price it at. I started calling them weekly to ask for progress, see what was going on. Trying to get any details about my units being filled. I NEVER got a call back, I always had to call multiple times to get in touch with someone. It would never be Fran. For the last month I asked for Fran to call me back every time I called, I never got a call back. Finally I gave up, and said you know what I need new management. I called new management, set it up, called VB and said they are coming over for the keys. Keep in mind I was supposed to give 30d notice as per our contract, but at the same time I NEVER got a call back EVER and couldn't even speak with anyone, and as far as I knew I was completely paid up on management fees. I told the worker there I was switching management. She was completely unsurprised since she knew I was frustrated for months. I said ok well thanks and thought the guy was good to go to come over and take the keys. He shows up and they won't give him the keys. I call back and for the first time in months Fran immediately answers the phone to talk to me. She says she won't give up the keys because A) There is an eviction in process! B) I owe them $3000. I was absolutely shocked. First off I was like an eviction in progress?!?! She told me the person they had told me had moved out and dropped off the keys 3 MONTHS AGO never moved out and was being evicted. They said originally they had told me he moved out because their "maintenance man" had checked the wrong apartment. As for the $3000, they said they had done some work which they had said they were going to do(but never told me they actually did), which was supposed to be $1500, they couldn't tell me what the other $1500 was. I got livid about the eviction, I had been asking about renting that unit for the last 3 months calling pretty much weekly, they said they were showing the unit, never once mentioned someone living there and being evicted. That is at best completely incompetent, at worse fraudulent. Fran's excuse? "She could never be able to tell landlords every little detail about what is going on". Sorry Fran, an eviction is not a little detail. Especially when you originally told the owner he moved out. They still won't give me my keys, I had to have the new property management change the locks, and send them an email threatening legal action if they go near the property. They are shady, awful, scammy business people. Ive never had the pleasure of doing business with anyone worse. I truly believe they are running some sort of scam there. NEVER CALL THEM EVER! Also don't rent from them because I am sure they are worse to renters than landlords which is probably why all my renters left.

So I SAW what she allowed to happen in my absence. I only wish that I had gotten that gut feeling about her sooner!! Who knows what else went on before. She allowed the buyer's people to setup unauthorized tests without consulting me first, my personal property (not included with the sale) was tampered with and nearly caused me bodily harm. But the worst thing she did was NOT secure my home before she left on inspection day!! Windows were left unlocked and ANYONE could have entered before I returned or even while I was home. DO NOT TRUST this person, especially when she's got money in her sights. Someone that leaves a person's home unsecured is not someone that I will EVER trust or ever recommend, not even to my WORST enemy!
