I definitely recommend this restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. Luckily we missed the rush and was able to get our food quick, No photos because we were too excited,

The carne asada fries were such a good portion for the price when so many places charge so much nowadays! We added some onions and a creamy green salsa from the condiments bar that made the carne asada fries even better. I'm excited to try other dishes from here!

Needed food late night and they were open, which turned out to be fortunate! My kid got rolled tacos and I got quesabirria tacos, both were delicious! The guy working the window was friendly and had great recommendations. Food came out fast and was packaged well for the ride home.

A must-try if you love a bomb breakfast burrito! Came across Benchitos on grubhub . Being a sunday and not really wanting to cook I knew I wanted a delish Burrito. I normally get a Crazy burrito from a Utah chain restaurant but when it comes to trying other items aside of that item Ive always been disappointed. I was so excited when I saw Benchitos not only had their own Crazy burrito ... but they had Machaca!!! I got both and they were both so filling , a good flavor and they give plenty of salsa to accommodate the portion. The beef was cooked well , juicy , the eggs were fluffy and I didn't mind the green peppers. The Crazy burrito was equally impressive-had a nice smoky taste to it as well. So do yourself a favor and try both . I look forward to trying more of the menu in time as I see their open late and have a drive thru . Keep up the stellar work Benchitos!

This place is outstanding! The service is friendly, and the drive-through works perfectly. Inside, they have a salsa bar! The ambience is fun and lively. The mixed fajitas were absolutely delicious! The flavoring was the best flavoring I've ever had, and the rice and beans were delicious. I tried the quesabirria tacos, and they are packed with flavor! There is so much meat that it's almost falling out. They give onions, cilantro, and lime to garnish. The consome sauce is also absolutely bursting with flavor! We will definitely be back!!!

Found Benchitos on yelp - as we were looking for a quick dinner! Overall we had a great meal - new restaurant- located in the north west corner of a small strip mall w/ lots of parking - hours are 6 am - 3 am and you can order breakfast anytime! The owner is super nice & friendly- food is cooked to order and comes out really fast. Menu has lots of choices Snd they have a great self serve salsa bar!

Came across this new Mexican place. It was clean with plenty of seating. The owner was working up front and was really nice and chill. The food was made to order and was delicious. It's a mom and pop shop, so Yall go support them!

Wowwww! (Btw I'm hispanic) Honestly, I debated on making a review because if people find out about this place, it's going to be crowded and who knows, maybe the prices will go up. However, I truly think this place deserves the attention. I just moved to SLC in February and I've already been here 10 times. The staff are extremely friendly and the food is absolutely amazing. This "fast food" won't make you feel like crap because their ingredients are fresh. I recommend the surf and turf burrito, their sopes, and the nachos. Don't forget their amazing guacamole and habanero salsa. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food they get. I would like to see some tripa or maybe even lengua in the future, I would be there every day. Give this place a try!!!!!

Wow! What an amazing experience. This place just opened up by my house and I decided to give it a shot for my 2am food run. I couldn't be happier that I did. Some of the best service I've received in this city for food. It's such a refreshing experience to see a local Mexican spot with a good SPICY salsa. The restaurant was very clean and open. Also got a free horchata with my order for their opening week special. Go give it a try. It is worth it I cannot reccomend enough. Great prices, great hospitality, and wonderful food.

The food was incredible! The horchata is hands down the best I've had in Salt Lake City. I ordered the birria quesadilla, which comes with consommé, and it was so flavorful. The staff was very friendly, and the service was quick and welcoming. My boyfriend ordered the Hot Cheeto burrito and absolutely loved it. The churros we had for dessert tasted so fresh and were filled with cajeta. We went on a Tuesday night, and it wasn't busy, which made for a really relaxed experience. The churros we had for dessert tasted so fresh and were filled with cajeta.

Been a little disappointed with the quality of Rancheritos and Betos lately as they've usually been the go to. Had not heard of this place so gave it a shot. Mix breakfast burrito was fantastic. Packed with meat, potatoes and cheese and everything was well distributed - the tortilla was tightly wrapped and made it easier to not make a mess. Also, they hooked me up with sauces. Definitely coming back.

#5 Hard shell beef tacos/rice/beans. On point.

Great customer service. Reasonable prices. Clean interior and exterior. I've lived all over Southern California and Arizona and this is good Mexican food. Just opened. Come give them some business. Food came out fast!

Fajita combo. With shrimp, chicken, steak. Comes with 2 big flour tortillas

The staff was friendly and welcoming. The restaurant was very clean. First of all, Muertos Cantina is a total vibe! The inside is so cool with fluorescent lighting, colorful decor and bottles displayed beautifully behind the bar. Even the bathrooms are worth mentioning! Each one is decorated differently with tons of bright colors. Seriously, each bathroom is like its own little fiesta sanctuary. Now for the FOOD! They start you off with fresh tortilla chips and a trio of salsas, and the chips were AMAZING (especially the flour chips). Each salsa had its own completely different flavor. The Red Chile Arbol had some heat, the Chipitle Lime Crema was smooth & creamu, and then there was the milder Tomatillo Verde, which was my favorite. Soooo good! We also tried the Agua Frescas. They were refreshing, flavorful and really pretty to look at. The watermelon was probably our least favorite, but to me anything watermelon flavored can sometimes taste a little watered down. The pineapple was definitely the winner because it was way more flavorful and satisfying. Then came the Elote Corn Dip. YUMMY! It had fire roasted corn, cheese, spices, crema, pico de gallo, cilantro and Tajín. It had so much flavor and texture. Definitely one I would order again. My daughter chose the Birria Ramen, and I think this might have been her favorite part of the meal. It had slow cooked beef birria, consommé, melty cheese and ramen noodles with cilantro and red onions, plus lime and radishes on the side. It had a little spice to it and was absolutely packed with flavor. She loved it! My husband ordered one of their burritos with a side of tater tots. The kid in him was VERY happy that tater tots were an option. And FYI the burritos here are HUGE. I ordered the Smothered Spicy Chile Verde Burrito, and OMG. It had braised pork in chile verde sauce with rice and refried black beans, wrapped in a flour tortilla and then smothered with MORE chile verde, melted cheese and chipotle lime crema. It was MASSIVE and SO GOOD! I honestly have yet to find anything in Reno that compares to this one. I would order it again in a heartbeat. And whatever you do, SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT! We got the churro beignets, and they were fantastic. Covered in cinnamon sugar and drizzled with caramel and condensed milk... seriously, what more do you need? They were the perfect way to finish the meal. Muertos Cantina ended up being such a great first stop on our Utah trip. Fun atmosphere, really good food, huge portions and so many different flavors. Again the atmosphere set the entire vibe for our meal. Yelp came through for me again!

The food is still very good here and some of my previous gripes are no longer an issue. I can now order tacos and burritos à la carte again. While there is still no way to go pick whatever salsa I want and the options are still more limited than before, at least they bring out 3 of my favorites with the chips now. The drinks are still just okay , a shadow of their former selves and I will never be able to accept the loss of my beloved watermelon margarita, the way they used to make it, but I will concede the drinks are decent. Service was fine. Parking is a hassle but that's just Sugarhouse. ‍ So yeah, I guess I'm back to "willing to eat here once in a while", from "I'm never eating here again". They even have a nice taco Tuesday deal which I may hit up in the near future.

Unfortunately, our experience with our server, Letty, completely changed our opinion of this restaurant. There were two main issues that made our visit frustrating: 1. We did not receive our drinks until after our food arrived, and we actually had to remind our server that we were still waiting on them. When Letty brought out our food, we politely asked about our two cokes and were told, "Give her more time." We felt we had already been very patient and only asked after our food had arrived. Waiting for drinks while eating a meal was frustrating, especially since the restaurant was not busy and was actually starting to slow down during the last hour we were there (around 8-9 PM). 2. While we were eating, Letty refilled our water and the table next to us, then continued having a long conversation with the neighboring table while standing very close to us. It felt like we were being completely ignored, and the lack of awareness for our personal space made it difficult for my husband especially to comfortably enjoy his meal. We understand that everyone has busy shifts, but the level of attentiveness and service we experienced was disappointing. We left feeling frustrated and unlikely to return after this visit and would NOT recommend this place to anyone.
