Now I don't know they still have the crème brûlée, but it's absolutely amazing

This is one of my absolute favorite places to visit in Texarkana. The atmosphere is a great place to bring a date have a meeting and even a girls wine Wednesday. The servers are amazing. Bartenders are great. They have amazing drinks and even mock tails if you don't drink, my favorite food will be the duck grits, salmon shrimp And steak when I eat red meat I would definitely eat eat here every single time I go to Texarkana.

Bar seating. Strawberry lemonade house beverage.

This review written during my 3rd visit to Benchmark. First visit was a recommendation from a random I met at Walk ons. Spectacular service, well catered to. Not forgotten. Quality drinks, formal, professional environment. Lighting is fantastic, not too bright, not too dark. Bar option is for me, restaurant seating open. Clean. Food is absolutely top notch! Scallops to die for. Menu changes regularly. Staff remains! Quality bartenders. Jason the owner cares greatly for his staff and establishment! Will return again and again. Will recommend HIGHLY to friends!

One of my favorite places to go to here in Texarkana! This is my wife and I's favorite date night spot. When you walk in, the decor and staff makes you feel like you are stepping into a high class, fine dinning establishment but they welcome any and everyone. For appetizers, my favorite is the lobster dip, it is very good! For an entree, there is so many options and to be honest, you can't go wrong. The steaks are unbelievable, burgers big and satisfying, but the specials is where it's usually at. My favorite special is the duck ramen, but it's a popular item, so be sure to get in while they have it! They have the best whisky and spirit selection in town. I'm a big whisky drinker, so another reason I love coming here.

Another wonderful meal. We had such a great experience the last time that we took our travel buddies with us this time. I had the filet and my husband had the salmon w/wasabi risotto. Our friends had the salmon and shrimp gnocchi. They have an excellent bar with lots of bourbon choices. If you have noticed I love bourbon. So does my friend's husband. We also had desserts that were very yummy. Bread pudding, baked Canada and crème brûlée.

THIS REVIEW IS FOR BRI!…read more Bri is the pastry chef at Twisted Fork. Yo. She is amazing. All you need to do to get an idea is check out the weekly dessert specials (usually some amazing, mind-blowing concoction of a cheesecake). I recently got remarried and we used Bri for our pastry caterer. We wanted cheesecakes and pies. Everyone was blown away! We loved every single one of them! Can't wait to try this week's special!

Decided on the wedge salad and the Baja Tacos. Not sure what was going on in the kitchen but my tacos are delivered to my table BEFORE the salad, when I asked about the salad the lady said it should be out "soon" {sigh}. A few minutes later the salad arrives while I was looking disappointedly at the tacos. I even asked Abby if this was the normal amount of meat provided on the tacos and she said yes...oh well. Salad was OK, a bit drowned in Blue Cheese dressing but it was an OK salad. The tacos...totally missed the mark. They were supposed to be "3 flour tortillas filled with grilled & blackened red fish, topped with slaw and cilantro cream". There was basically one "fish nugget"...inadequate, the "blackened" was more like tanned so no blackened flavors, while the cilantro cream didn't do anything to improve the dish. I guess I could have sent it back but I combined one into the other two to make them a bit more like a meal. Service from Abby was good, but overall not a huge fan of this meal.

As I gleefully devoured my meal - pan fried and searing, the oysters were lightly breaded and juicy. And the morsels of gator meat were tender and succulent. Existing. At first it was cool. I met a couple of young guys. Super nice. Totally normal human interaction. We talked. It was fine. No problems. Excellent. Then they left. And, uh... yeah. Everything got weird. Like... record scratch weird. No bartender came over. No eye contact. No "hey man, what can I get you?" Just a lot of standing and looking past me like I was a ghost or maybe a very calm ghost. I tried to make casual conversation, because that's what people do in bars. And suddenly the room felt tense. Like I had accidentally walked into a staff meeting or a crime scene. At some point it hit me. Oh. They think I'm a cop. Not because I did anything. But because I was standing upright. And sober. And aware. Which, apparently, after 11 pm here is suspicious behavior. For the record, I am not law enforcement. I am just a guy who is cold and trying to hear music. I wasn't kicked out. I wasn't served. I was just... ignored. Like if they pretended I didn't exist long enough, I might fade away. So I left. Nothing dramatic happened. It was just awkward. Uncomfortable. And kind of impressive in a sad way. I walked into a bar and accidentally became a vibe check the place failed itself. This might work great for regulars or a younger crowd earlier in the night. But if you are a grown adult who knows how to behave in public, you may suddenly find yourself labeled "possibly undercover." Party on. I guess.
