This was my fiancés and I first date. And we had an amazing time. But since that one trip this hasn't been worth it. She loved the quesadillas and Every time i try to convince her to try it again i end up regretting it. Our burgers weren't cooked. I had never been to Benchwarmers until 11/5/22. I arrived on a bus trip. The trip organizer had called ahead, in fact that day had confirmed, the time of our plans and arrival. Upon the bus entering the parking lot, a female staff rudely greeted the group outside as they exited the bus, demanding to know how many we had in our party, stating we probably couldn't be served and stating they were just too busy. Many of us stayed outside because of her rudeness but others went in anyway and were completely ignored. I was not impressed. The establishment was very busy though obviously not at capacity as others not from our group were allowed in and served. I will never try this place nor recommend it to anyone. Luckily, other establishments were VERY welcoming to our patronage even though they, too, were extremely busy. read more

Food is 3 stars, service is a zero! We had three different servers. Food was prepared quickly and wasn't bad at all. Once it hit the table, no servers came to the table till after we were done eating and only after they were flagged down. Traffic there was steady with customers but only the bar was getting service. 7:00PM on a Thursday......got to do better than that. Every time a server came to our table they were chewing food. My wife thought the expression on their faces looked like someone just died. I would probably eat here again at an earlier or slower time of day to see if the services is any better. Benchwarmers is a great place to hang out with friends for lunch or dinner. The food has always been served promptly, very generous portions, and good service. I like coming for lunch or dinner, and the deck is fun for evenings in the summer. They have a couple different rooms, one is a sports bar, usually loud and lots of activity. The other is a traditional dining room, quieter, easier for conversing and I find it more relaxing. Both lead to the deck area. The spinach artichoke dip is wonderful! Great burgers and bar food, and the salads are a meal in themselves. We've been here for business lunches, birthday parties in the banquet room, casual dinners, and years ago (before DeMotts took over), we had our wedding reception here! This is a great place to hold a party for up to about 150 people, because no one has to drive home after the party...they have a motel too. Friendly people, good food, fun atmosphere....what else could you want? read more

Benchwarmers is a locally owned family business. The staff members are 1005 professional and very friendly and consumer oriented. The venue is casual dining with an adjoining formal dining room and banquet room. The menu items are delivious and there are daily specials. I would highly recommend this venue for a great dining experience. read more

If you have a chance to stop in this place I would say just keep going and pick somewhere else. We stopped in as a group of 6 for a drink and maybe order a bite to eat. They had two Girls working. One on the floor and one at the Bar. The girl on the floor was working hard and was extremely busy. The Bartender was extremely irritable. I don't know what was her problem but I don't really care. Her behavior was unacceptable and definitely not what you would expect in the service industry. We had two people from our table of 6 go up to the bar and order our drinks. The Bartender was mad about this and told one of our group that we had to get our drinks from the floor if we were not sitting at the bar. She was pissy about it but fine. So we decided that we would just have one more drink and cash out to leave. We were obviously not welcome. When my friend went up to cash out and grab two more drinks the Bartender said that our one bill was a "floor bill" and we couldn't pay that unless we paid it on the floor. Two separate bills. When frustrated because that makes absolutely no sense she stated that if we didn't like it we could cash out and get the f$&k out. Well ok that's what we were trying to do! Then she walked away all the while yelling obscenities at our table during this time. Our table had two people that were drinking water and pop and the rest of us had come in for our first drink of the evening so we were not intoxicated or disorderly. No reason for her to behave this way. Dumbfounded I went to speak to whom I was told was the manager. After the Bartender ran up to him and told him her side of the story he refused initially to hear me out about what was going on and right along with her told us to "pay our bill and leave" finally he at least decided to listen. I explained to him what occurred and then he took our money so we could pay our tab of 4 drinks. We left without finishing our drinks. On our way out the Bartender ran her mouth again because she apparently thought that one of our group gave her a dirty look. I just can't believe that they have people of this Caliber working there. Childish and nasty. At this point I don't care what kind of day she was having. We are patient and completely understand she was busy. I have never been to place where an employee was allowed to treat people this way and the owner or manager back their behavior. Again we were not unreasonable or intoxicated so there was no reason for this. We spent 20 min in this establishment and will never return. I am not one to complain on an establishment based off of one person but I will go out of my way to let anyone and everyone I know what kind of place this is. You do not care to have patrons in this place and do not care how you treat people. Advice to the bartender.... get a different job. You are obviously not suited to be working with people or in the line of work that you are currently failing miserable at. Would give 0 stars if possible read more

I'm losing reasons for giving this place any more chances. We bought pizza from a nearby location and I thought a order of fried mushrooms to go with it sounded very good. History of this one dish is as follows. For around $4 when we first tried the fried mushrooms we got a dinner box full of these delicious mushrooms. Over the last couple of years we got the same box but less and less mushrooms which taste wise are pretty good. This last time (last night) I ordered them and it came to $5.31. They brought out a hamburger size box with half a handful of mushrooms. I complained and they did throw in a few more almost making it a handful, This portion is at best 1/4 the size of their original portion they first served at a 25% higher price. I can't say I won't ever try this place again (living here there are not many choices) but its the last time I let them rip me on the mushrooms much like their poor portions of onion rings my original assessment detailed. read more

We went to benchwarmers because two people recommended it. It was just okay. The bar is a mess behind and you can't see what liquor they have because it is covered up with other garbage. The iced tea was tea that was warm in a jug in the back room. They have a bunch of random stuff on there walls and in the ceiling but it was just messy looking. I ordered the French dip and the meat was lacking flavor, and the au jus was just watered down beef broth that was almost clear, it was not flavorful at all. That was not au jus. My wife got the nachos which she liked but she had too scrape the salt off the chips because it was overwhelming. But it was loaded up with meat and liquid cheese. The bar tender barely was in the room and when he did come back he reeked of smoke. This palace could use a thorough cleaning, and also some help decorating. Had dinner and drinks here last night. Terrible experience! For starters our waitress had no personality & acted as if she couldn't be bothered. To top it off, when I went up to the front counter to ask a question, I caught her talking trash to the owner about one of the people at my table who sent their food back. So rude & she wasn't the least bit apologetic! Shame on her & the owner! As for the food, it's less than mediocre! They make all these weird substitutions which I assume is an attempt to scale back on cost with the fresh inventory they keep on hand. It's my opinion that you shouldn't carry things on your menu if you can't make them properly. I ordered a Reuben that was basically cheese & rock hard bread. There was one slice of corn-beef & hardly any sauerkraut. Waste of money. 4 out of 6 people's food at our table was cold & when one of the plates got sent back to be "warmed up" & returned again still cold & the cheese not melted, we were told very aggressively by the owner "that's not how we make that here"! Really, you don't melt cheese on your nachos!? I was appalled at her reaction & even more annoyed by the evil eye & dirty looks she continuously shot our way for the remainder of the night. They also need to get their bathroom situation under control. One small bathroom for an entire restaurant & hotel lobby. I stood in line for 10 minutes two different times. They do deserve one star though for the great selection of beers they have on tap. Lesson learned, we will NOT be back & future patrons beware!! read more
