The best part of our visit, was our extremely personable waitress, who had to apologize frequently for the speed of our drinks and food. There was a private party while we were there, which was the reason the kitchen was backed up, but frustratingly that wasn't told to us, until it was way too late to turn back. Honestly, had we been told up front that things would be delayed, we'd gladly have taken a rain check for when they were ready for customers. But having to wait an hour and a half, while in a mostly empty dining room, on a Saturday night, for average food... it was truly a disappointment. The atmosphere is odd, with the lights on full blast, and a view of the parking lot, it's not really clear what type of restaurant this is supposed to be. But it is not, by any stretch of the imagination, "prime." read more

This place is truly Lexington's hidden gem and best restaurant! After hearing numerous raving reviews about Emilio's, we decided to check it out on a Friday night. The location is only a few minutes drive from the quaint town of Lexington and situated next to a hotel and beautiful golf course. It does not look like a fancy restaurant from the outside so we were pleasantly surprised by the upscale fine dining experience. We were immediately greeted by the friendly hostess and brought to our table overlooking the golf course. Then the waitress arrived within a minute and got us started with drinks. I ordered a rose wine and my husband ordered an old fashion and both drinks were great! Our meal started out with a complimentary sorbet with a splash of champagne. Then we shared the lamb chops, lobster tail (side portion), and beef wellington. Both meats were asked to be cook to medium rare and the cook on them were so on point! The beef was juicy on the inside and flakey on the outside. The lamb chops were also well seasoned and grilled to perfection. We loved their mash potatoes, which came with both of our entrees. Chef's kiss! This restaurant/venue also hosts multiple special events throughout the year and the events calendar can be found on their website. We can't wait to go back and try more delicious food soon! If you are visiting Lexington or live locally, I cannot recommend this place enough! It is definitely worth the 2 minute drive from town. For anyone looking for an upscale dining experience and break from regular restaurants, without driving into the city. I've been golfing at Lakeview GC for several years and overlooked Emilio's Steakhouse, as it's been more than a year since they've upgraded. Atmosphere is inviting and provides diners' privacy with views of the golf course . The menu provides an alternative from bar food and pleasantly surprised with complimentary sorbet before our entree. We ordered Boguerones (appetizer) with mild tasting anchovies . Our two mains, braised short ribs and pan-fried halibut were served piping hot and everything was cooked perfectly. Leave room for desserts cause they're pretty tasty, at least the key lime pie! We'll return and will check out their upcoming theme nights. Emilio's is a "diamond in the rough" ( pun intended ) and worth checking out read more

What an experience. Upscale environment but very laid back. I enjoyed myself and felt fine in jeans and a T-shirt. We went for the Valentine's Day special. Included a champagne or martini, amuse bouche, filet with lobster, salmon and scampi, flambé bananas foster. It was decently busy but we had friendly attentive service. All of the food was delicious. We started off with a classic Caesar salad and the amuse bouche that was a sausage meat ball filled mushroom with some red sauce. Delicious. Then a pallet cleanser of Italian sorbet with a champagne splash. Moved onto the main courses. Perfectly rate filet and tender sweet lobster. Fork tender salmon with perfectly cooked tender shrimp scampi. Finished with table side flambé rum bananas foster. We also had some great wine and a classic old fashion. read more

Wow! Great menu, great wine selection, and awesome steaks We went for our 23rd anniversary along with a couple celebrating their 34th The meal was lovely from beginning to end. The steaks were prepared perfectly and had to be prime. When we arrived, they had anniversary cards signed by the entire staff After we completed our meal, they said they had a special dessert: It was a selection of chocolate covered strawberries. The strawberries were very fresh, and the chocolate covering was very artistic. Then, we were surprised again! A Marilyn Monroe impersonator came and sung "Happy anniversary" to us Wow One of us couples were married at this same place 34 years ago, and there was a wedding downstairs, so, we crashed the wedding. We found the bride and groom and said the 4 of us were married 34 and 23 years ago, wished them luck, and had a dance Best anniversary dinner ever! read more

We discovered Emilio's after everyone kept telling us that WindJammer (which we tried the night before) was the best restaurant in town. It was Ok, but you can get that kind of food anywhere. For anyone looking for a real upscale dining experience, go to Emilio's! We started with the Spianata Bread and Olive Oil infused with rosemary and it was superb! Then we shared the Beet salad. It comes with both red and yellow beets, arugula, goat cheese, and fennel. Every ingredient was well balanced. The wine selection is plentiful. Not inexpensive, but a six-ounce glass was plentiful given that beforehand we had consumed plenty at the nearby winery - also a plus. My chicken with linguini arrived tender and savory, draped with saffron. The sauce was so flavorful I asked for additional Spianata Bread to soak it up. The crab cakes with lobster appetizer was enough as a full meal. Chocolaholics: Top off your meal with the molten lava cake. This was a very nice tablecloth meal that, for a couple of spoiled foodies from Chicago, can hold its own among the best food cities in the country. The service was excellent and for about the same price as WindJammer (this cost us $14 more), this is Lexington's best restaurant. B&B owners and other locals need to begin promoting this place that opened in early June. read more
