I still enjoyed my time each time even though we were probably the youngest as someone got my husband and I tickets here for my birthday the past two years. The music was fantastic and we saw the variety show and the Grand Finale show and I enjoyed seeing multiple genres of music. The lead singers and musicians were phenomenal, and I absolutely loved the costume changes. The outfit changes really held my attention and was a great part of the show. The food, however, was just okay. I wouldn't come here for the food alone, but rather for the overall experience and to do something different. The meal included vegetables, potatoes, mashed potatoes, spinach cheese ravioli, chicken Parmesan, pulled pork dish, and a pineapple fish dish. This was the same food both times we went, so I'm not sure if they ever change it, I wish they did for a change. The pulled pork and cheese ravioli were good, but I wasn't a fan of the other dishes. The chicken Parmesan was probably the worst I've had as it wasn't at all what I expected from a traditional chicken parm. Dessert is a slice of chocolate cake that's already at your table when you arrive. I did think it was a nice touch that they pass out foil before the show ends so you can take it home and not waste it. The recommended tip listed on a sign at the table is $5 per person, so in addition to your ticket price, expect to pay at least that much extra. Drinks are also not included, so that's another added cost. Overall, this is a great experience, more so for 50+ and would make a fun gift, especially for a couple looking to do something different. I wish they had a family friendly show where it encouraged families with kids as I could see my kids who love music at 2 and 4 enjoying the show and dancing! I sat about in the middle of the theater and had a good view of everything. I really think most seats will be just fine!

There's a variety of food and it was all delicious. There's a few different proteins, this night was swiss cheese chicken, pulled pork, and beef stroganoff. The was roasted red potatoes and garlic mashed potatoes with gravy. And sides that included suateed vegetables and cheese raviolis , dinner rolls and butter. There was also a salad bar, but after a little bit of everything previously mentioned I was way too full. Had to save room for the chocolate cake. Then came the show. I never saw Elvis when he was alive, so I was excited to see this show. The guy does a great Elvis impersonation, taking you from the 60s Elvis, advancing to the Vegas Elvis era. And, since "and Friends", other folks in the crew did tributes to act like Bobby Darrin, Nancy Sinatra, Tony Orlando, Barbera Streisand, Melissa Manchester, etc. All people Elvis worked with to some level in his lifetime. Interspersed, was information about Elvis, the things he did for people, and discussions of the songs he sang. It was informative and very entertaining. The whole crew were incredibly talented at both singing and playing their instruments. The Silver Star also offers other variety shows, like a Country Music one, classic radio music one and a couple others. I had never been to a dinner theater before and really enjoyed it. If you're looking for something to do for a full evening or maybe have people visiting and looking for something to do, you should totally go!

His reviews, videos and credibility was exactly what I was looking for. We spoke on the phone and I addressed many questions I've had -- he was very accommodating and patient. He showed up right on time and remained very professional throughout the night. I have been doing my "ultimate Halloween Party" every year and I have hired many entertainers but Brett was by FAR the best money ever spent on my event. He simply blew away my mind and all my guests. The entertainment he did was OUTSTANDING. Brett creates fun memories that last a lifetime! He even made his "tricks" Halloween themed (which was a super bonus)! It was unlike anything I've ever seen. I don't know how he does it and to be honest we talk about it all the time on how he "could pull it off." He is VERY TALENTED!!! Look no where else -- I'm serious -- just stop looking -- you will not find anyone better than Brett. He will NOT disappoint you in the slightest. My next event(s) will always include Brett Barry, to the point where I will schedule it around his availability.

The bad is in my opinion, how poorly this incident with sleeveless Steve was handled. I've been dancing over 35 years, I currently have a very large dance group in the Phoenix Metropolitan area called Honky Tonk Dancerz. I bring a lot of people to Foley Ranch to enjoy the food, the great Service and the ambience of the country western music and great dance floor to dance on. Over the past several months I've gotten a chance to get to know Steve and I find him very pleasant, very kind to the lady he dances with and respectful. He is a product of the new style of country swing, that you have your instructors teach this style on Thursday nights. In my opinion, there is a lack of instruction on Dancefloor etiquette and feeling the music, by that I mean, actually dancing to the music, not alongside of it. Steve dances as he was instructed by the instructors that you bring on the dance floor and teach new dancers how to dance. Steve dances exactly like all the other new dancers dance. If you have a problem with Steve and the way he dances, then you have a problem with all the other people that have been instructed by the instructors that you bring to Foley Ranch. And in regard to the comment that was made by Dan B, where Steve grab the arm of a lady and drug her to the dance floor, that's BS and that is never happened. Like other people have said in comment and in Steve's defense women can say no and that's their prerogative. If they don't like the way he's dancing with them on the dance floor then they need to open their mouth and tell him to take it easy I don't like the way you're dancing or I'm not gonna dance with you again. It's very obvious that Dan B and his group are not part of the dance community like Steve and many others that have commented in Steve's defense. Last weekend, I spoke with Garcia the floor manager and introduced myself and the concerns that I had when I heard about Steve being 86. I asked a lot of other dancers in the dance community, what their thoughts were on this. Some have already commented on here. And I feel it's my obligation to the dance community to do so also. I would be more than happy to sit down and speak with management and give my further thought as to how the situation can be resolved. Thank you, Bobby Honky Tonk Dancerz

I went with my family on a Monday morning in early May. While there were a few school groups and retirement homes visiting during that time, it didn't feel crowded at all! There's so much to learn and explore ... you could honestly spend all day here and still not see everything. Some exhibits are interactive, and there are literally instruments from every corner of the world on display. We did check out the coffee shop before exploring, and grabbed a quick bite! They do not let you bring any food or drink into the exhibits, even water. However, you can check your items at the front desk to pick up on your way out. All tickets include a headset with music or a voiceover that will automatically play as you get close to a specific display. It's hard to choose a favorite room, but the diversity in the Asia wing really stands out. My younger sister also loved the jazz exhibit! I highly recommend a visit to MIM for locals and travellers alike.

Even without special events and exhibits, there is so much to see and explore here. It is unbelievable how much they pack into this place. Give yourself at least two hours, or more if you want to thoughtfully read each of the exhibit descriptions or attend any of the optional workshops or performances on site. Food and drinks are not allowed in the museum rooms, except in the food area and courtyard, with Cafe Allegro offering a global menu and Beats Coffee Bar selling all day breakfast along with other snacks and beverages. Museum staff were helpful and welcoming, and I loved using the headphones given in the beginning, as these were connected with the exhibits, and the sounds of various instruments and videos could be heard as you walked by displays throughout the two levels of the venue. The second floor takes you across continents in the world of music, with unique instruments from Latin America, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and beyond. I learned about how instruments were played to engage with spirit animals in African culture. And I was fascinated with the Indonesian Gamelan exhibit, showcasing the arts I've experienced before with shadow puppetry. I even discovered many unique and amusing instruments I was not familiar with, like the tortoiseshell drums of the Garífuna and the buccin (french slide trombone), characterized by a dragon's head, as well as Belarus' instruments used for "teasing" songs. In addition, the STEM Gallery allowed for exploration of the science of sound, where I learned that all musical instruments share a common characteristic: vibrations! And the Artist Gallery had individual displays dedicated to iconic musicians, like Elvis, Taylor Swift, and The Wailers. My favorite section of the museum was the Mechanical Music Gallery. It felt like I was at the circus, captivated by vintage instruments such as the calliope (a self-playing steam powered organ) and antique nickelodeon machine. This room definitely added excitement to my visit. I also tried my hand at the theremin in the Experience Gallery, and it was like making music with magic. Lots of quirky items were offered in the gift shop too, like themed puzzles and ornaments, boom box lunch boxes, and a quote book for the melophile in your life. I absolutely enjoyed and appreciated my time at this museum, learning about and listening to the diverse and beautiful sounds created across cultures and throughout time.

Small on the inside, but had a classy but casual feel. Since we did the murder mystery there was also a preset menu which was cool. The food was okay, but will be returning back for the drinks more than the food. The murder mystery game was a nice way to get everyone in the bar involved. Essential a real like clue or who done it game. Very interesting but also can be a bit distracting if your goal was to come out and have some drinks and peace out at your leisure. While it is a very cool idea, I feel that more customers would be able to come and go on these days and not be turned out because a reservation was not made.
