Love this place. To start the location in Hunterdon county is idyllic, no better way to spend a late summer evening. First Friday of the month is locals night, no cover, background music, buy their wine and either bring your own food, the house cheese plate or buy from the 'food truck' - this Friday it was a traveling pizza oven from Swampy Vale Farm. Saturday is group therapy which is a cover charge and live music after 5pm. Sunday is like family picnic day I believe but I haven't done it. Relax in one of 4 locations, inside in the fantastic hall, the covered area next to the hall, the firepit area which we really like and the grass area by the stage. There is also an outdoor games area. Last but not least the wine, the chardonnay, riesling, pinot noir and super tuscan are all good, especially for NJ. The only one I didn't like was the low alcohol Italian drink. This place is an evening well spent. read more

This was our 4th visit to Beneduce over the years and each time we ask ourselves, "Why don't we come here more often?" We sat up on the patio on a Sat. evening, next to the big fire pit, enjoying the great views and music. It's simply a great venue- indoors and out. The staff are so friendly and very attentive; its run really well. You can order from the food trucks, pick up cheese/crackers/breads/jams inside or bring your own food. The vibe in here-especially around Christmas holidays-is amazing,it was perfect for our date-night. The service was good,though a tad slow in the end due to other clients holding our server up with their stories :) we did wine tasting and the experience was different than what we've normally had in other wineries where you'd typically get to choose your wines to taste; here it's a selection of seasonal 5 wines and the server comes to fill your glass with each one after you finished your last one,giving a bit of an overview of each. Neither of the wines impressed us enough (unfortunately) to take a full bottle home (for the price,there are definitely better wines out there,in my humble opinion),but I will consider coming back here in the summer,to check out a new selection of "summer" wines,or maybe even have a bottle on the spot. I came here on a Friday with three other people and a Siberian Husky. We brought our own food and purchased 3 bottles of wine (three windows white, cabernet+malbec, and the shotgun red). We enjoyed our time there while sitting at the patio. It was nice and not crowded since it was on a Friday. My favorite of the 3 was the three windows white, and for the red was the cabernet+malbec. I would suggest passing on the shotgun red unless you are new to red wine since it is a lighter drink. read more

My bf and I came here on Weds before Thanksgiving and we were able to get seated right away without a reservation. We did the wine tasting which comes with the complimentary wine glass to take home! The wines were all really good and the server was very knowledgable. We also bought the salami and crostini and the server provided plates. We met George, the winemakers dog. He was very friendly and kept eyeing our food! We really enjoyed the wine and our time here. We ended up buying two bottles of wine (Cabernet Sauvignon / Malbec & Blaufränkisch). This not a review, as it's more of a Thank You. My wife and I, as a lot couples nowadays, work hard and all the time. Adding the 2 kids in the mix, it is very hard to find that time to ourselves. So when were able to escape for a couple of hours, my wife suggested we pick up food from one of our favorite spots (Sky Cafe, Pittstown NJ-in walking distance from the vineyard) and go to Benaduce Vineyards. With everything going on in the world, the first thing we noticed was how clean, safe and neat everything is. We were recieved with great smiles (under the masks). Staff was amazing; Amy, Zack, please keep up the great work and the positive attitude. Our Blue 2 bottle of wine was outstanding. The bottom line is, we couldn't have asked for a better place to enjoy peace and quite for our rare moment. Would not go back. Booked for Mothers day (2024) and as many know the weather was horrible. At 11:00 a.m it was still pouring and the event started at 12:00 noon . During the day it was misty, mind you this event was only outside and we had no cover and I AM CERTAIN THE GROUNDS WERE A MUD PIT . Beneduce decided not to cancel the event and tell everyone if you do not come there are no refunds . The safety of my 80 year old mother and other seniors are more important then them keeping our 150.00 deposit . You would think it would not only be about money and they would have given people a choice to come our cancel being the grounds were soaking wet and it misted during the day . I will find other wineries to go to in the future as clearly these people do not care about the safety of others. read more

PA/NJ wine has never been my thing until beneduce! Their wine is delicious- both red and white. Their wine is also vegan friendly. Great way to spend a pleasant afternoon. This winery is absolutely breathtaking. There was a good selection of a variety of wines to please every palette. They even sell home grown lavender and honey. You can bring your own food but they do offer a small selection of local cheeses. For $3.00 you will want to buy the glass as it is a great wine glass. My favorite wines were the mangione which is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet savignon, and Merlot. This wine has big flavor with a spicy finish. The Centerfold was also delicious. This is a smooth light Pinot noir that is estate grown. If your looking for a lovely relaxing afternoon , this is your place. read more

Now this is a winery! Would never expect NJ to have such a nice winery. Came here because my friend has been and she planned for us to come here. Saturday and Sundays there is live music from 6-9 I believe . This brings a lot of people and you may have a difficulty finding tables unless you reserve. You can also bring your own chairs or lawn blankets. I know that people will be charged $10 pp for cover at least by 5pm ( for the evening) Patrons are able to bring their own food/snacks but NO liquor. The grounds are well kept. There is a gravel road that leads up to the parking lot/ admission area. There is a large outdoor lawn area with chairs and tables... a small stage... a fire pit.... There is a building that you can sit inside ... and if you sit inside - you Can order a cheese /meat plate to enjoy with your wine tasting. Bathrooms inside as well There is a small bar called oasis bar that is covered and has a cute ambiance . You can buy wine in there as well. The band that evening played Billy Joel cover songs all night . You may see hot air balloons floating by as well as small planes taking off here and there... gives this place an interesting twist. We attended the Sunday picnic on Oct. 13th. We were 3 couples and we had an amazing time. The Maura Glynn Band was great playing a nice mix of well known songs. The wine was very good. I had a Pinot noir while my friends had rose and a Riesling. All were very good. We didn't eat from the food truck, choosing to bring our own food. The atmosphere was so relaxed and everyone seemed to be having a good time. Lots of people celebrating birthdays and anniversaries. I highly recommend Beneduce winery to anyone wanting a nice relaxing, fun filled day. read more

I have been to Beneduce Vineyards -Group Therapy for many years but yesterday was the first time at Sunday Picnic. it was delightful! The day happened to be one of those perfect 75 degree sunny days. We had a group of 14 for a small party and George Conley, director of hospitality for the vineyard couldn't have been more helpful and responsive with helping me plan. We had 3 tables under the large red umbrella but theres not a bad location in the entire winery. The music was a lovely light jazz and the assortment of wines both red and white were as good as any California grape and went down easily We were able to bring in our own assortment of food but the local pizza truck was near by when we ran out. You can never go wrong with wood fired pizza right out of the oven! We invited many guests who had never been to the winery and they couldn't believe that a place like this exists near by in New Jersey.... that being said, we WILL be back! read more

A beautiful place/ambiance, an OK wine collection, live music, food truck...sounds like a perfect equation for a memorable afternoon with your loved ones, doesn't it? **record screeching sound** We were baffled how one employee (ANDREA) can ruin what could've been. Literally left a sour note and decided to leave within an hour... Customers are expected to pay $10 per person just to reserve a table, which I understand and paid $110 for our party of 11, 3 to 4 weeks in advance. However, we were not given a shaded table/area even though seeing that upon our arrival two tables/benches with umbrellas were not yet claimed. Inquired Andrea to assist, and like a broken record, she kept repeating the same three sentences. Either she is slowwitted or assumed that we were. If she had even an ounce of customer service skills, she would've (could've easily) accommodated us. Us: can we be moved to the shaded tables? Andrea: no, that won't be fair to those customers. It's first come first serve. It's our policy. Us: But those tables are not yet claimed. We are here first and we weren't able to select our spots while making reservations. Andrea: no one is able to select their spots. Us: exactly, so why can't you move us? Andrea: it won't be fair to those customers. It's in our policy. Us: how is that fair to us? We paid same amount to reserve tables. Andrea: our policy....blah blah blah And that went on two more times... HENCE this review! Overall, New Jersey has many other more beautiful wineries to choose from with better wines even, why bother driving an hour to be treated as such. Therefore DEFINITELY NOT RETURNING! read more

We enjoyed a Sunday afternoon there.... August 27. The pizza that day was a little overdone, but the music was great. The musician played many different types of songs, and did a great job on all of them. The ambiance was pleasant, comfortable chairs and tables, umbrellas. So I went several years ago and everything was great but it seems the quality of service has declined. We were a group of 6 and had a tasting and platter of cheeses, meat and bread. One soft cheese and a hard. As I started to eat the soft cheese I noticed there was mold. I called the server and she took it back and she returned with the same cheese and said this was normal. What!! Soft cheeses should not have mold! Make sure you use your phone light to check before you start eating. The wine tasting was also very rushed and not even water was offered at our table. Thankfully I knew which wine I wanted, which by the was not offered at the tasting. I'm hoping that things will change with their service soon because the venue itself is beautiful. read more

This place is a sheer madhouse on a recent Sunday afternoon. We parked in the last row in the back lot, like a wine festival, and a long hike to the tasting room. Once inside, we had to ask around where to go for the prepaid wine tastings. Very disorganized. We were led to a small table and a woman came around occasionally to briefly note about the not so tasty wines she was pouring. Most were over $30, very tannic and nearly undrinkable. Their cheapest wine, Shotgun Red, was the best but loaded with sediment. The tasting room itself isn't very attractive or relaxing, more like a large barn with hard surfaces that amplified lots of noisy tables of people that had too much to drink. This place encourages parties, pets and lots of kids running around playing games. There is nothing attractive about it, gravel driveways, tents and cars everywhere. Never saw a vineyard. Then there are the fruit flies, 4-5 at a time visiting our table and landing on us and getting into the wine glass. They finally gave us little screens to place on top of our glass, it was that bad. We visited another winery, Unionville, after this one and really enjoyed sitting at a quiet wine bar discussing their wines with our knowledgeable server. We won't be back. read more

We went to the winery on a rainy day. It is larger than some of the others we have been to. The tasting room is pretty big and they are expanding it so obviously they are doing well. The staff working at the bar where you sit and enjoy the tasting were all very friendly and there was no pressure to buy anything. But we did......... For $15 they offer a deluxe cheese and salami serving with two pieces of chocolate to finish that was enough for the two of us. It was very good, featuring local products. We paid $5 each for the five wine tastings. There was also an graded version of the wine tasting selection. There are a nice variety of dry red types which we prefer, Our favorite was the Syrah. Most of the wines are made from grapes grown onsite but a few are made from grapes imported from California. Even though we are partial to dry reds they do have some dry white wines that are pretty good. Although not on the day we visited they do have events periodically including wine and yoga sessions. There is evena venue for weddings and a sizable outdoor seating area where you can enjoy a bottle and watch a show during the warmer months. We will be back to Beneduce. read more

Great winery! Beneduce is a perfect spot for a birthday, party, or just a weekend of fun. I went to beneduce yesterday with a few friends. We made reservations and had our table from 12-5. On the weekends they have a band and Mexican food truck which was delicious. They didn't have any white wine left which was a bummer but we still enjoyed our wine and the time being. My only complaint is that there are many, many flying bugs that are huge. They kept bothering us throughout the day. I wish they would've just went away. Overall we still had a fun time. read more

This is my first visit to the venue. I enjoyed all aspects of the experience. The staff is friendly and very accommodating. The staff does an excellent job making a pleasurable experience for visitors. Sitting outside, drinking good wine, and listening to the live band was very enjoyable. I wanted to give a huge shout out to George Conley, Ameila M.,and everyone at Beneduce vineyards. The facilities and staff were outstanding! Everyone was friendly, and helpful. I came for a "farewell party" for one of our Doctors, intending to be outside at a bunch of tables. Fridays' evening weather ended up being unexpected thunderstorms, that would have wrecked our evening. George came to the rescue allowing us to move our party inside, and up to the loft. What a beautiful intimate space! There was lots of other available space inside, as well as under cover on the Crush pad. ( that night it was reserved for a lovely retirement party). The wine was delicious, but the non alcohol drinkers in our group were super happy with the mocktails too. For this outing , we had bought our own food but we're happy to see they had small bites, cheese, etc available for purchase , for anyone who happened to stop in For a glass of wine. I was very impressed by the surroundings and atmosphere and will definitely be back. Beneduce vineyards is our own little gem in Hunterdon County. Cute wine vineyard. It was pretty busy on Sunday afternoon. They have wine tours through the vineyard, tons of outdoor seating on the lawn, live bands and lawn games like bean bag toss which was a cute touch. We did a wine tasting with cheese and pepperoni pairings for $10 each. Includes 6 wines, 4 cheeses and their wine infused pepperoni (delish!!!). The only wine I liked was the Shotgun red. The rest were too dry for my liking. They also have some cute trinkets you can purchase. The tasting room is huge but the bar is kind of small. About 5 or 6 couples can do a tasting at once. They were very busy when we came. Our barista kept walking off to other customers so the tasting took forever. Wow. I've been doing wine tastings for quite a while now. Napa etc. I have to say the New Jersey wineries have come a loooooooong way in the past few years. 7 years ago you could not get a decent red. A chard or riesling..maybe.. Well the wine maker here is top notch. Interesting and complex reds. Cab Franc and a great cab/malbec blend.. a good pinot. Some estate grown and some purchased from the west coast, but who cares how it got here. Really good wines ..great venue, great scene. Looking forward to coming here during the summer. Solid 4 stars. Absolutely amazing afternoon with friends at a great local vineyard! My best friends daughter and her boyfriend were singing and they had a wine tasting which went so well. They have such an amazing selection of wine, only one wasn't worth it but they replaced the bottle without question. We ve been here before and will most certainly go back. Visited Beneduce for the first time last weekend for my birthday with some friends. What an amazing time!! Everyone is so courteous and I felt very safe with their precautions. Extremely prompt responses when I emailed them in regards to a question about a reservation. We did a seasonal tasting, followed by a few hours in their indoor "oasis" with live music. We made a reservation for a table at the Oasis Bar that you could go to anytime within a five hour window. You can ask to be closer or farther from the music. The tables can have up to eight people. We were only two. Masks are required except when seated. Tables are spaced throughout and the trees made for the name, an oasis. There were oranges on a few trees. The music was an eclectic easy listening type for all ages. You are allowed to bring your own glasses, but if not you can purchase them which you take home. Very organized vineyard with wines that are far better and more sophisticated than other NJ/NY vineyards we have toured/tasted/visited. There were no duds in the 5 course tasting. I would beef up the board of cheeses/meats/breads as we contemplated ordering a second one. Perhaps add olives and a fruit spread? Brad, our tasting host, was marvelous. The price of the wines is $20-40/bottle, more than fair. The outside seating is reserved, so there is ample seating--a more civilized way to tour a popular destination. I am reviewing specifically for their 'Group Therapy' nights on Saturdays and Sundays. I planned a birthday party for my wife and 25 of our friends. Sadly, but not really sadly, it was raining. Luckily, they have a beautiful indoor space that was perfectly accomodationg. It was a greenhouse with lights and plants all around. They set up tables, a bar and an area for the band. The place was amazing. I know they have an even bigger outdoor space that accomodates 200+ people, but this was pretty awesome. Also, this was not a private party. We just showed up with our giant group. The band was AWESOME!! Maybe we were lucky, but they played an amazing mix of music to sing and dance to. They sang the Cheers song for my wife's birthday and they were just all around amazing. I am not sure how many times people actually dance at these events, but our entire group was definitely dancing. The hosts were very accomodating. They don't take reservations nor hold table unless you pay $10 for each person. This is on top of a $10 cover. So, we just showed up and they were a little taken aback by the size, but we found tables and set up our food and drinks. Most other groups there did the same. There were several very fancy spreads for whatever accasion people were celebrating. We bought our wines from the bar by the bottle and even some people went into the actual winery for tastings. Everyone was awesome. I will definitely go back. The wines we had were great. The entertainment and atmosphere was amazing. I want to try with a smaller group, but this was a great idea as a birthday party. read more

Had a lovely but short afternoon at the vineyard for a birthday gathering! I love that you can bring your own food and can purchase wine at the vineyard. The vineyard is truly a beautiful place! We had multiple bottles of the their Rose and Riesling which was delightful. My only complaint is that I called multiple times and was never told the the vineyard actually closes down at 4pm for sanitizing and reopens at 5pm. Something like that should be clearly communicated to patrons so that they can plan accordingly. We felt very rushed and pushed out at the end which did put a slight damper on the afternoon. I also felt that we were the only table that was being rushed to leave and to hurry up and load our car.
