I took the wine train here on July 26th. The vineyard is beautiful. Steve and Audrey have a nice presentation. And surprisingly the wines were decent. I purchased the rose wine. I also liked the food pairing. The reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the pours were so small. It was barely two sips. I have NEVER been to a wine tasting with such small pours. read more

Wonderful experience. We drove up to the tasting room and purchased a bottle of Incendio (a delicious Cabernet blend) to enjoy outside overlooking the vineyard. There is also seating inside the tasting room where wine is purchased. Small charcuterie boards are available for purchase but we opted to bring a small picnic. The staff were friendly. Hubby had bought tickets a few months ago for the last day of the Wine Train, which is such a nice and relaxing trip to Riegelsville. After you get off the train you take a school bus to Villa Milagro and wine tasting and wine lessons begin. Villa Milagro is a truly beautiful winery, we sat outside under a covered patio, we were offered 4 canapes to go with the 5 wines we tasted. It is a small and personal winery, I am from Southern Cali and lived in the vineyard portion of Temecula and even did private tasting at a couple of wineries I worked out (fantastic job if you love wines) anyway- the small class was fun and informative and the wines were very very nice- in fact we 10 bottles -Thank you to my hubby for practically carrying a case of wine around town LOL while I shopped - totally forgetting we didn't drive to the winery. I see mixed reviews here and I am not sure what people expect, but I was very pleased with the winery, the tasting and the wines I purchase- because I not only by wines I am fond o, but wines I know my friends and family will enjoy- because I know them and listen. They do not have a wine "club" so to speak but they do hold private events and honestly this is a beautiful winery to visit for a few hours, enjoy the view, have some food (bring basket) and enjoy the surroundings. read more

On the Fourth of July, Villa Milagro was our second winery stop. In order to reach the winery, we drove up a very steep narrow hill. The winery is small, intimate and straight forward-nothing fancy. You could enjoy wine outside or indoors. Inside, we met Erin and the Vineyard's mascot dog Poncho. Erin served us a 6 wine flight (3 whites & 3 reds) for $10 pp. We did meet Audrey the owner who is going to assist us with the Garden State Wine passport. The passport would not allow us to check in. The Sabroso (Red) was our favorite wine of the group. Should we be in the neighborhood, we'll return! Update- The Garden State Passport issue was resolved. Wouldn't recommend and won't be back. Very disappointed overall. Very small winery. Ok we can work with this. It was supposed to be a group of 20 but thank God it was only 4 of us. We went inside to do a tasting OR have a glass of wine. There were only 6 wine options. Ok, we can still work with this. The owner, Audrey, waited on us at the only counter. So my friend did a sampling at the counter while 3 of us were served a glass of wine. I asked how large were the tasting pours. Audrey rudely asked "where are you from?" I said, "Pennsylvania". She responded rudely "WELL we have standards here in New Jersey". She was rudely pushing all of us to do the tastings even after telling her that we didn't like dry or reds. She then looks at my diamond ring and says "WELL that's a big diamond". All of this was with rude tone the entire time. My husband, who isn't bothered by most people very easily, was very upset with her and agreed we would not be returning. If we hadn't been with the other couple, I would have told her we weren't coming back because she is rude. I would hate to be one of her employees or her husband. read more

Very disappointing and experience. We drove 2.5 hours with some friends to celebrate a birthday with wine tasting and a small cake. Since the "experience" lasts about 1 hour and 25 minutes, we preferred to just enjoy the wine instead of taking the tour (which we have done before at other vineyards/wineries). When we asked the staff where we could sit, and to buy some bottles of wine, we were told we couldn't purchase wine until the tour returned, which is odd since at a winery you can choose to take the tour and listen to someone talk or just sit and drink wine, eat and talk. They directed us to the back and we arranged the plastic chairs a bit closer together so we could chat, but the owner came over, yelled at us for several minutes, and rudely told us to move elsewhere. Very disrespectful behavior, we were embarrassed at how loud this person was being in front of all the other customers that had just returned from the "tour" (usually owners accommodate customers so they come back and send more customers) NOT the case! This completely ruined what was supposed to be a pleasant day. I do not recommend this vineyard, and the owner and wife should take some customer/client customer care courses. read more

Spacious vineyard in central Jersey. Good Covid guidelines as well - everyone wears mask and very spacious outside. You can book a reservation under a separate awning away from the main patio which is great for larger parties. Reservations are for 2 hours. Reservation was $20 pp paid in advance and included wine glass to bring home and 6 tastings out of 8 wines. They also had music on Saturday afternoon. The staff and owner are very friendly as well. It is BYO food, etc. and make sure you carry out your trash too. The wines were lovely and the seating area overlooks the vineyard with lovely mountains in the back. Great relaxing vibe! read more

I had a delightful time as did my friends. The train ride was very fun and it ended with wine at the end! The owner and tour guide of the vineyard, Steve, gave a very informative and educational presentation about the innerworkings of wine making. With the wine tasting, we got to sample 5 of their wines and each of their wines had a special hot appetizer provided for us to pair with. Everything about this place was awesome and I definitely will come back again! The only blemish on our trip was a large group of ladies that were not interested in the tour and made it difficult for us to listen to Steve throughout our adventure. They were incredibly rude and talked throughout. Steve was very patient with them but they were borderline 'Karen'ing' over being asked by the tour guide - and even some customers - to kindly keep it down for others to hear. If you are planning on visiting please respect the experience of others as they paid to be there as well. read more

Took my mommy here for Mothers Day after finding this place on TikTok advertised as the "Wine Train." Let me start by saying to my surprise, there was no wine served during the train ride, but makes sense because the train company and the vineyard are two separate businesses that have partnered together to provide a full experience. The train will pick you up at the station, and will drop you off to a school bus that will take you directly to the vineyard--Overall it was about a 35 minute commute there and back. The vineyard is family owned and ran at their home on 10 acres of land. The vineyard was very well maintained, and the staff were lovely. You will learn lots of information on wines, grapes and the process to make it. We each we're provided with some hors d'oeuvres for us to pair with each flavor wine. My favorite wine was their Delicado which is their sweetest more dessert like wine; I ended up bringing two bottles home, along with a copy of their small bites cookbook. This place is beautiful, and makes a perfect location for a wedding ceremony, grad party, birthdays etc. Would definitely recommend giving this place a try if you haven't been. My daughter took me on the Wine Train to Villa Milagros Vineyards for Mothers Day. The weather was perfect, the train was on time and blowing its horn as we passed by the Delaware River. Once we arrived we were escorted on a school bus that took us up the hill and over to the vineyard. We were greeted on the bus by one of the owners Steve who explained everything about the land along the way. We got a little history lesson on the land as well as educational lesson on how wine is made. We also met Steve's wife Audrey and poncho the security dog a huge German Shepard he was beautiful. After our wine and vineyard lesson we were serve a tasting by there interns along with a pairing plate. Each wine we tasted was paired with something on the plate. We had a wonderful time visiting this winery! First off, the views on this property are breathtaking. It's obvious the owners (Steve & Audrey) and team are super hardworking and celebrate the gifts of the earth. The tasting and festival were educational, highly entertaining and tasty! You can even buy an affordable cookbook to recreate the pairings should you desire. I made an error when booking with the train schedule and the owners went out of their way to accommodate the mistake and returned us to our car so we were able to attend the whole event. Walked in to the tasting room with a friend just as a group from the wine train was about to start their food/wine pairing. Although the entire room was full the owner found some chairs for us but two super nice women let us join them at their table. We weren't expecting to receive any of the food pairings that the wine train tour guests were getting but the staff gave us everything the tour group had...score! For $10 we received about 6 or 7 pours (all paired with food thanks to some good timing). If you're coming on the wine train tour expect Costco style frozen apps (like cocktail franks). The wines we tried were mostly dry but they had a couple of sweeter wines as well. The measured pourer caps leave you with fairly small pours here. The vineyard is set high on a hill so the views are very nice here. It happened to be very cold and windy when we visited so we didn't spend any time outside but the grounds were very nice from the little we saw. read more

I'd compare it to Four Sisters. It's too sweet and the wine has little variation. Took the wine train tour from Phillsburg which was $40 for 20 minutes train ride to than stop and take a 15 minute yellow bus to the winery. It was like place your order and leave! NEXT. Couldn't even join my basket with my lunch which I thought to pair with my wine. All wines are on the sweet side not my taste but good. Thumbs down for rushing your guess. Don't think I'll ever go back or recommend a friend. It's not because of COVID! Other wineries host you and don't seem like your getting kicked out! read more

Found Villa Milano from a Google maps search, as it was the closest to Reigelsville and we just wanted to sit and catch up. Saw ahead of time that it was $15 for a sampling. Fine (we thought) lots of places charge about that. The drive up the gravel driveway is lovely. Once inside we quickly realized it was not going to be what we envisioned. The tasting room is very small. Cramped. There was a class gathering when we got there and the participants meandered around us because they had no other place to go. The tastings of five? Seven? wines were premeasured to two sips or one gulp, quick. and then we were promptly encouraged to decide what bottle of wine we would be buying. Not. A. Wine. Experience. Not a casual ...take a few sips...take the glass home...experience that I have enjoyed at every other winery I've ever been to. It was $15 to walk in the door and have 5-7 sips of wine. $5 more if you wanted to take the glass home. And...then...because the wine class was just on the other side of the divider, the woman told the employee to shush the four new customers that just paid for a tasting and were talking at a regular volume "for a group of four friends" Wow. Hospitality- 10/10 Wine 5/10 The owners are so so so nice. We went this past weekend for a local art show. The winery tasting room itself is small. The drive up to the winery was awesome.....off-roading baby. I just did not like the wines. All the wines seemed very sugary and sweet even the Reds. We also asked if we should pay when we arrived but the owner said to wait till the end since if we buy some wine it could be one transaction......so basically we kind of felt like we had to. There were five us that stopped by the Villa Milagro Vineyards for a wine tasting during the Wine & Chocolate promotion on 2/11! The wines were delicious, along with the chocolate! I'm not sure if we had the owner, but who we had was very knowledgeable about the different wines and had a lot of suggestions on what to pair the wines with for maximum flavor! I'm not a fan of the overly sweet wines which are common in the greater Lehigh Valley vineyards (due to geographic conditions, etc.), but the wines at Villa Milagro cover a full taste spectrum and pair nicely with food. I just left my tour today to the vineyard for my birthday trip today. We learned about this winery through another tour we were going on. My fiance and I appreciated the one owner ( husband) informative speech once we arrived and during our tasting . The staff was very helpful and we appreciated that once we mentioned we make mead that owner informed us that he had his mead available to purchase since we could not go into the building due to covid . Was a great experience we did not get to talk to the wife much but she did introduce herself and she was very nice also. The grounds are beautiful! And well maintained . Very pretty vineyard. Perfect wrap around porch to sit with friends enjoying a bottle of their rosita and admiring the pretty views. Tasting room seems to be a work in progress. The wines were just average. What really made the visit was the great tour provided by the owners. The care and love of their grapes, wine and brand really showed as she gave us the tour and showed us their production process. This is winery #3 of 46 in my wine passport. Booked the wine train out of Phillipsburg @ $35 per person. After a 25 minute Steam engine train ride we were dropped off at a yellow school bus for our trip to the vineyard. We were greeted at the entrance by the owner Audrey Gambino, who gave us a tour of the grounds. She also demonstrated the equipment that was set up outside and inside the very cold storage area. We were given 5 wines to taste each served with a hot appy. Cocktail frank, meatball, spinach or potato mini quiches and a toasted crostini. We enjoyed our time there more than the wines. We didn't make a purchase. Back on the bus and off to the train. Train stopped at a picnic area and a gem panning area on the way back, as you can get on/off if you choose. Will be trying this one again with a bunch of friends in the fall and will pack food. read more

Some friends and I did a tour & tasting. The woman who runs the winery is friendly but a little abrasive. She was a bit condescending. She called my friends out in front of the entire group, I felt like we were in school and about to get sent to the principal's office. When I went to purchase 2 bottles of the Rose, she refused to complete the transaction until I filled out a paper with my name, address, and email. That really turned me off. Not the best experience my wife and I have had wine tasting. We stopped at Alba Vineyards first so we had high expectations. Villa had one person working, I'm assuming the owner, serving the four wines for tasting. Yes..... only four wines. She was also the only one checking out people at the end and also making strawberry daiquiris. While the property was nice, the wines were not our favorite. Out of the 15 people there everyone was annoyed about something, mostly the wait just to taste a wine or to check out. I would suggest hiring some staff and possibly getting a better setup for the tastings,which was just on a pop up table in the middle of the room. read more

We took the wine train on 9/5/21 and highly do not recommend. The train ride was nice and scenic but the vineyard was a disaster. It was very rushed and not well organized. I purchased 8 bottles before leaving 3 Steam Engine Reds, 2 Incendio and 3 Delicado. 4 of my 8 bottles of wine were BAD! Steve met us by the cornfields (part of the train ride) to replace one of my bad bottles (Incendio) that we had opened that were bad and guess what .... THAT NEW BOTTLE HE GAVE ME WAS BAD TOO! Wine shouldn't smell like a mix of rotten eggs and vinegar. I spoke with Audrey about the bad bottles and was told to drive 2hours back to the vineyard with the open wine to replace them. After explaining that I'm not driving with an open container she said send us an email and we will figure it out. 2 weeks later and no response. Don't waste your time or your money with this vineyard. 4 out of 8 bottles bad , owners that do not stand behind their products or care much about customer service. There are plenty of other beautiful vineyards in NJ , don't waste your time or money with this one. read more

Please do not waste your time and money at this wine tasting. My family and I did the wine train to this location and the whole time we were rushed at the vineyard. Audrey showed us how the wine was made which took 20 minutes and then the tasting began. Her workers poured the wine and didn't give people 2 minutes to enjoy their sample and on to the next one. My sister in law had wine still in her glass and the server poured a different wine into it mixing 2 different wines! The horderves were cold and disgusting. Mushy fried mushrooms and cold meatballs. You would think of going to a wine tasting, they would offer cheeses and such like a normal wine tasting; nope not this one. The wine tasting took 15-20 minutes and the owner was telling everyone to pack up, buy her wine, and leave immediately. She also made it known that we should of been on the bus 5 minutes ago once people started gathering their belongings. It was completely rushed and uneventful. Everyone spent more time on the train then anything else. This place was a waste of nice Sunday afternoon. I've been to many wine tastings in my life around the U.S. and in Europe. I am not just some random critic that doesn't know anything about wine or a wine tasting for that matter. Do not go here its all a scam and it is very expensive! If you want to enjoy a train ride, take the NYC subway and brown bag a bottle of wine rather than wasting your time here! Very rude owners! read more
