Burnt Mills Cider, located on US Route 206 in Bedminster in a beautifully restored farm building, offers innovative house-made "flavor-forward" ciders made from locally-sourced apples, a cozy but comfortable indoor tasting room with oak paneling and wood furniture crafted from the trees cleared on-site during construction, and a family-friendly and dog-friendly outdoor space with picnic tables, fire pits, and cornhole games. Burnt Mills offers a range of sweet and dry fruit-forward ciders in 4 oz., 8 oz., and 16 oz. servings with 12 options on tap, including seasonal specialties available only for a limited time. Thankfully, you can sample several of them at a time by ordering a flight of four 4 oz. servings. On my most recent visit, I really enjoyed the General George (5.5% ABV), a balanced cider featuring tart black cherry rounded out by vanilla that's smooth and dangerously easy to drink, and the Friendsgiving 2025 (5.5% ABV), a holiday in a glass that is a complex blend of cranberries, orange peel, rosemary, honey, and cinnamon. YUM! I'm definitely excited to go back and try the other varieties on-tap, then grab a growler or cans to go. PRO TIP #1: Drive slowly in the parking lot. There's a large dip midway up the driveway from US Route 206 that could bottom out your vehicle. PRO TIP #2: Pack a picnic basket. While recent changes to New Jersey's previously draconian liquor laws have eased many restrictions on microbreweries and cideries, they still can't have full-service kitchens. Burnt Mills often hosts food trucks on the weekends (check their calendar!), but you'll want to pack your own snacks if you visit during the week. You can also bring your own food or order from local Bedminster/Far Hills restaurants via a delivery app!

Burnt Mills continues to be one of my favorite cider places to visit throughout the year! The indoor taproom is fairly small but there's lots of lawn space and also bench seating outside. It can get pretty busy when the weather is nice, but we're always able to find a spot. People bring picnic blankets and chairs and spread out over the lawn. It's child and dog friendly with a fair amount of parking. I believe they allow outdoor food and snacks and there's typically a food truck on the side as well. They change their on tap ciders every season and there are so many options! If you want to try as many as possible, you can't go wrong with a flight or two. Some of our favorites are hibiscus rose, cider donut, chai, and mojito. They have 4 packs of their most popular ciders that can buy to take home. Overall, a fantastic spot for couples and families. We'll definitely be back next spring to try their new flavors.

Flight consisted of Pina Colada, Arnie Pommer, General George & Mango. The 2 cups were their non-alcoholic option.

Adorable place for family/friends gatherings. There are picnic tables spread across the property (not a ton, maybe about 10) along with some Adirondack type chairs and 'tables'. There's a food truck on site but didn't try their food as you're allowed to bring your own so that's what I opted to do. Cider is on tap & they offer tastings before committing to purchasing your flavor. You're allowed to bring your own tables/chairs/tents and can set up where there's room. They have games like Connect 4 and corn hole for people to play. And dogs are allowed which is a plus for dog owners. This place would be great to host a birthday party or family reunion. They do take reservations & have a minimum requirement of 40 people. However, September & October are their busiest times so they do not accept reservations then.

This place was recommended by a fellow Yelper and now I see what he was talking about! I LOVE IT HERE!! A great place to hang! With family, friends, coworkers, OR you can just strike up a conversation with the people next to you and have a good time! You can bring your own food or get something from the food truck of the day. I got a flight and there wasn't anything I didn't love. The Beach Bonfire was a happy surprise! Definitely a must try! But my favorite was the Pear! It was FANTASTIC!! Come early...parking gets FULL!

Love the cider co. Fun place to meet up, bring chairs & pop up in summer. Food trucks, especially the pierogie guy is delicious & not over priced. Kid friendly too. Need more parking options unless you don't mind hiking down the road on side of Route 206, my only negative observation. There are a few picnic tables & chairs but better to bring some!

Super nice property with a great atmosphere, and the cider choices truly offer something for everyone's taste. It does get crowded on nice days, (parking is a bear) so it's a good idea to bring chairs, a blanket, and some snacks so you can set up and relax if you can't get an available table. The food truck on-site add to the fun with creative, tasty options. Overall, a perfect spot to spend an afternoon!

I can see Burnt Mills being a place I visit at least once a month. As long as the weather is nice you can hang out here all day. Find a parking and head on in. Go early if you want a table - if not I'd suggest bringing your own chair or a blanket to sprawl out on. We went on a 60 degree day and while it was a little chilly it was still very nice. If you can grab a spot by a fire pit - you're golden. They have some cornhole and other games outside. It's very family friendly and also doggo friendly! They are nothing if not efficient here. There's always someone coming around to collect empty glasses and ordering flights or a glass is super easy. They also have merch for purchase and a brewery passport! There's a ton around the area. As far as food - you can bring anything you'd like and they also have rotating food trucks every week. I'd check out their Instagram and give them a try. All the ciders were exceptional in their own way. My favorite was the seasonal flavor - the general George. A blend of cream and cherry - super delicious. The blackcurrent and pear were also top favorites. We even got some to go. Love this little spot!

This place is awesome though bring folding chairs and tables. The drinks are great but the lines are a bit long. Last tip is watch out for the ditches in parking lot as cars tend to not see it and you can only blame the establishment for not tapping it off.

Delicious ciders and inviting space. What else can you ask for for Friday evening. They are pet friendly (as long as your pet is friendly). There was a dog there while we were there that did not seem friendly, and her owner didn't seem to have a handle on her, just keep an eye open for that. Every day, there is a different food truck to try out. This Friday was a seafood truck, and my husband loved the lobster roll. There's a flavor of cider for every palate. We tried the lavender haze, strawberry lemonade, and pineapple. They were all delicious, but the lemonade was the most refreshing and the pineapple the most flavorful, like biting into a juicy ripe pineapple.

A fun way to spend a Sunday! There are no reservations and open seating so come early if you want a spot under the shade or a table. Otherwise, you can bring whatever blanket and chairs to set up for the day. They have so many hard cider options and the fall seasonal ones are the best. My favorite right now is the apple cider donut flavor. The staff is super friendly and helpful with helping you find the right cider for you! I would just recommend bringing your own food/snacks. The food truck that was there the day we went was a bit pricey and we waited 75 minutes in line and for our food (they were taking orders and making them by the person). It's also dog and family friendly. They also have a little section for corn hole.

You need to come here! Friendly staff and great drinks. The apple cider donut cider is sooo good you will leave with a 4 pack of it! Dog friendly as well. Awesome spot!

So many options to choose from

So this is the first time that i've been to this place. I've been to alot a lot of cider bars before And they're all usually pretty good. But this place was unexpected. The cider was so good that we got multiple flights containing the same ciders. I'm telling you ,some were just that good. The staff was pretty friendly even though it was a packed house and you had to speak up to make your order. We had to sit out side because the inside was a little full but it was a nice night. The ONLY negative is that the tables outside don't get wiped down enough. A couple were sticky from cider earlier but didn't really mind. Still give this place a 5 for sure

Burnt Mills is a fun place to visit if you love cider and cozy spots. I've visited twice now and getting a table inside can be a bit challenging. There are outdoor benches, but if it's crummy weather, you have to try to hope you can score a seat indoors. They offer cider flights where you can select from their menu board and enjoy four different drinks, which is perfect if you're not sure what you'll like. From dry to fruity, the ciders are fresh and flavorful; my favorite cider is the sour cherry. There's often a food truck outside, but you can also bring your own food and games if you plan to hang for a while.
