There were two employees working. Only one paid attention to us even though we all needed individual help. We found this employee to be dismissive and quite frankly, insulting. My friend asked for a highlighter and the employee said sarcastically "well what have you been seeing online that you like?" When she showed us a product she said someone on tik tok with lots of "older followers" likes this product - we are in our 30s. That is offensive. She then proceeded to pretty much ignore us and the other employee there paid us no attention. For an expensive store that requires assistance, this was extremely disappointing.

L'Oréal had pursued the purchase of the company for more than two years, but the real catalyst for a deal came when Kiehl's had difficulty handling the growing volume of orders due to the company's growing popularity. They currently have more than 30 retail stores worldwide, supplemented by sales in high-end department stores such as Bloomingdale's and Nordstrom. In contrast to its market competitors, Kiehl's is distinguished for its unorthodox marketing approach, exceptionally large male clientele base and its products' simple and straightforward packaging. Compared to its competitors, Kiehl's states that it spends three to five more times on its upscale natural cosmetic products. While I purchase Kiehl's products from my employer (as I always get 20% off with my associate discount and free shipping from my company's *.com end), using this store during events like this is absolutely on my list. Knowing now that they have a recycling program that rates me a free full sized product with every 10 empties turned in gives me all the more reason to put them aside. It's a nicely appointed, but small store. There is no barber service on site (the flagship in NYC has a barber salon that, while I've not tried it, is rumored to be impressive). But if you're a fan of Kiehl's, you need to stop in. Second floor, Nordstrom wing, directly above Lush Cosmetics. It's on the right as you're walking toward Nordies.

The price on the hair said $19.99 but I get to the register to find out that I have to pay $24.99 before tax. The owners wife, who is standing there with a dumbfounded look, says she doesn't know how that price got there. Like what? So I say obviously it is one of you guys' employees because I sure didn't put that there. She calls her husband and I called over one of the employees to show them that the package of hair I had and all the ones similar to it, are priced for $19.99. The owner(husband) comes with me to say he needs to check to just argue with me tell its not his problem and that he is selling it for the price of $24.99. He blames the prices being incorrect on the girl who is there in the store with us saying she is new, doesn't know what she is doing, and just puts tags on everything . So I went off on him. First of all, it is your problem as the owner who is always there anyway, to double check that the prices are what they should be. It's unacceptable to openly blame the employee and then get mad at me for wanting the hair for what the price tag on it says. I can see 1 item being priced wrong but come on 3+ plus items of the same all with the wrong price tag. Nobody including the young girl employee should be spoken that way. Stand behind your employee and correct the mistake. You come into a diverse town where the majority of the people living here are African American and Caucasian, set up shop and get so disrespectful. African and Americans and other people of color are the main people spending their money in your store. and then you have two people of color working underneath while talking to them like garbage. I don't see your kind in that store, working to help you or making any purchases there. Don't bite the hands that feed you. To the young employee, with love, remember the words I gave to you today.
