Came yesterday to the benefit brow bar located inside Macy's. It was my daughter's first time here and she loved it. We stopped by here while shopping for a graduation dress and so glad we did. Lynn was very warm, friendly and more importantly pain free experience. My daughter has gotten threading and waxing done before and this was less painful than threading. Brow mapping, waxing and tweezing were part of the services received. It was a mini spa experience right after dress shopping for only $29. Worth it! DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE THICK EYEBROWS. Jackie did my brows and decided to not ask me what kind of shape I wanted my brows or if the shape she was going for was okay. She ended up leaving them SUPER thin by over waxing/over trimming them. My eyebrows are so uneven, I could have easily saved myself the money and fucked them up less myself. Went in the next day to get refunded and they pretty much accused me of trying to scam them for a free service. But I'm pretty sure my long archless eyebrow and my short arched eyebrow speak for themselves. I also explained to the manager that based off the yelp photos and the Benefit brand, I assumed it was protocol to map a clients eyebrow before waxing/threading, and she let me know that the ones with "the most experience" don't use that technique because they know what they're doing. Obviously they need to reconsider who they consider experienced because Jackie left my eyebrows looking like third cousins. I usually just rock a natural brow and now it's embarrassing not to have them filled in. This is what I get for cheating on my brow lady. But now I know that driving the extra distance is so much more worth it than walking around with lopsided eyebrows for the next couple of months.(-: read more

I have been frequenting the SCP Benefit Brow Bar since September 2013. The only person I trust with my eyebrows is Lyn! I appreciate her attention to detail, and I love how she shapes my brows to make me feel brand new each time. I've had bad experience with waxing before, but during my first visit years ago, Lyn explained to me that at Benefit, they do not use the same wooden stick every time they dip into the wax. Doing so, like most brow bars, can harbor bacteria in the wax that causes breakouts, especially on sensitive skin like mine. Thus, I've never had an adverse reaction to wax! Please note: If you are currently on any skin treatments, such as retinol, please let them know, as this can cause your skin to be eve more sensitive to waxing. While I have moved away from OC, I am happy to drive 20+ miles to get my brows done by her bi-monthly. She's always a pleasure to talk to and see, and I look forward to more years of booking with her at Benefit SCP. read more

The manager was not friendly or accommodating at all. They no longer offer birthday brow services anymore and she gave me very passive aggressive attitude. She said "the whole reason why we don't offer birthday brow services is because customers such as yourself take advantage of it"... I've worked in the luxury service industry most of my life and if anyone responded the way she did, they would be fired. I've been a loyal benefit customer for at least 15 years now. I literally have mostly every single item the brand offers. I had such a terrible experience and I will NEVER purchase another benefit item again. PS they double dipped into the wax several times during my brow service today. Really unhygienic! read more

I always like this location and specially I like Lyn Ly: she always listens to what I want and delivers. In others brow places I get what the aesthetician considers its OK, but here I always get what I want. This is a review for Chris. I am so so picky regarding my brows and face. When I moved to OC 3 years ago, I went through several brow artists with a few traumatic experiences. I didn't know where to go or who to trust. Once I found Chris, I finally felt at ease. I have been going to her for about one year, every 3 weeks. She is competent and confident while also listening to your input and/or questions. She takes great care and time. I choose to have my brows tweezed (instead of waxed) because of all the medical grade skin care I use, and she tweezes so well it is as though they were waxed. She is also a great conversationalist and makes you feel welcomed and comfortable. Her own brows are perfection and never overdone. I want to go to someone who is their own walking billboard and has the brows I want. Other people can look frightening. She is a beautiful person inside and out. Covid has been a very difficult for my family and I am actually in the mist of planning my grandmothers funeral services. "Lynn" was gracious enough to fit me in to her busy schedule. Lyn is amazing!! I am really picky with my eyebrows and my preferred shape is thick and straight. My shape is a little on the more unconventional/less common side so people always try to arch them. Omg I think I found my brow lady!! I came in today pretty much was not ready for waxing since I always got my brows threaded.. I booked my appointment with Jessica because of many positive reviews of her.. Prior to the appointment or even during the appointment, I was very nervous and uneasy.. However, Jessica accommodated me.. She made sure I was comfortable during my visit.. However, the ONE time I tried a new person - I got the worst customer service experience by Janice, who was completely rude. I arrived 10 minutes early and checked in for my appointment with Janice. Somehow talking to two customers made her frantic and stressed out. She then told me to have a seat in Hannah's chair. When I asked which chair that was, her response was (verbatim) "you booked an appointment and you don't know where Hannah's chair is?" OMG. I've been a brow bar regular for quite some time but the location in Irvine recently closed so here I was, looking for another brow bar and ended up here. My first experience with Hannah was not that pleasant. She said a quick hello and then just went right to work. No brow mapping, no asking me how I wanted my brows done, no nothing - just wax, pluck, tweeze wam bam thank you ma'am get out of my chair so I can move on, etc. Thankfully, she did a good job but I was freaking out the whole time that she was gonna screw up. For my next visits, I went with Janessa who is the extreme opposite. Super friendly, down to earth, makes you laugh and takes the time to brow map, review what you want and get the job done. I'm always in and out in 15 minutes and with brows that I love because I already know ahead of time what she's doing. Brows and stuff aren't cheap but the time and expertise is well worth the price so just suck it up. read more

I've gone to the same person 3 times and I love her work! My eyebrows are very nice and it doesn't take her long to do. She's definitely skilled in eyebrows. The reason I docked some stars is because after every wax, I break out like crazy! I've noticed that every time I go, she does not change her gloves in between clients and also handles the cash register using the same gloves!!! I wonder when she decides to change them. They did a good job and gave good advice on reshaping my brows and letting certain parts grow back in - I tend to get tweezer happy. I liked how they filled in my brows with the Brow-Zing. I finally realized that that stuff does wonders! Anywho, if they aren't busy the Benefit Makeup Gals give you a little makeover and I can try the latest products.
