I recieved a hair cut at beneFIT studio with Blake Backman. The salon is a clean, vibrant, modernly designed studio with a lot of character and functionality. The costumer service was outstanding, as I was offered a refreshment upon checking in. This stylist was dressed professionally and had great looking hair herself, which I think is important in a stylist. Blake cut and styled my hair exactly the way I explained. It actually came out even better than I envisioned! Not only was the customer service, environment, and hair styling satisfactory at this studio, but the products used in the salon are exceptional. Since they are natural products, they made my hair feel clean, bright, and healthy. The products also smell earthy and fresh, which I liked. Blake was very knowledgable about all of the products used in the salon. She was able to recommend a shampoo and container to me that suited my individual styling needs. I have been using the products she recommended ever since and am 100% satisfied. Later that evening I received several complements on my hair. I have been going to BeneFIT for personal training with Lisa Anderson for approximately 6 weeks and I could not be more pleased. The facility is great with the studio area on the first floor and the salon on the second floor. There are fully stocked showers with Aveda products which are available for after your workouts- I love that they are set up to feel like showering at home versus a locker room at a large gym. Lisa has been fantastic to work with- she is constantly pushing me and is very patient in showing me proper form and making sure that I am working towards and meeting my goals. She has taken the time to get to know me and I feel like she treats me as a friend and a client and has been willing to answer any and all of my questions, even outside of our sessions. Further, the rest of the staff at the facility have been extremely welcoming and helpful! I had my eyebrows down in their salon, and I definitely look forward to trying more salon treatments as well. beneFIT is a one stop shop for workouts, hair, nails and other services. Emily Cook is a great hair stylist. She offers suggestions when your looking for a different style or color/highlights and you don't really know what you want to do but definately want a change. You never feel rushed and she give you her indivded attention. She has been doing my hair since she was at the Aveda Institute which is approximately 12 years ago. Lisa Anderson is a personal trainer at beneFIT and she is so inspiring that her clients want to keep coming back for more. She is patient and focuses on what you want to accomplish in a work out routine or if unsure, she will offer suggestions. based on what your needs are. If you haven't already spent time training with Lisa, you should. She is worth it and you will get an awesome workout. I love the positive energy at beneFIT. The studio and salon are amazing. I've been going to Benefit for about 3 years and always see Rachel for my cut, color and highlight. Rachel does a great job with using my poor Pinterest hair pins and making them an incredible reality. She is truly GREAT with color and will help you achieve your best hair. The salon just moved into an amazing new space just down the street from their prior location in Columbia Tusculum. The new layout is great and there is a much larger waiting area, as well as comfy chairs and great decor. Plus there is parking in the back, which can be difficult to come by in that area. They have water and coffee available in the waiting area, but I always go for the glass of wine! There's also Aveda product available for purchase. They have reasonable hours and I don't mind the prices, because they do an excellent job and I'm more than satisfied every visit. I visited Benefit Salon for the first time this past week and had an EXCELLENT experience from start to finish! After going to two other hair stylists, showing them a picture of how I wanted my hair cut, and coming away disappointed both times, I feel SO fortunate to have found my way to Benefit and Angeline. I showed Angeline the picture of how I wanted my hair and she got busy bringing my vision to life. I couldn't be happier with my hair cut! Not only did she do an excellent job of cutting my hair, she took the time to show me the different products that would help in styling my hair and even went as far as showing me exactly how I needed to apply them. Another great feature of the salon is the ease in which you can schedule an appointment on their website. I scheduled my next appointment before I left the salon and I like the fact that you receive a text immediately confirming your appointment so that you can put it on your calendar. So my friend and I wanted to get our hair done together. I have very curly hair and was getting something drastic done (8 inches off and bangs) and I wanted Jamie to do it because she's very experienced. My friend also wanted her to do her balayage. The girl who made our appointment made them within an hour of each other, which was fantastic. Jamie was super flexible to be able to do both of us at the same time and she did an amazing job. I was a learning experience for Tessa so they cut my price in half! The entire experience was so much fun start to finish. Jamie had me and my friend laughing and talking the entire time and they did an amazing job on my hair! Jamie was having so much fun cutting my hair that she just kind of WENT with it! It's so funky and new and I love it. I will definitely be back for a bang trim and my friend definitely wants to come back for another color treatment. Was recommended by a friend to come here and see Kelsey for a fairly cheap and quick haircut. I was not disappointed. She had me in and out in about 30 minutes! She restyled my hair with a new look and I have received nothing but compliments on the change. This great of haircuts for $25, I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. She was also super friendly and extremely knowledgeable on their products. Because of her, I now use about five or six different Aveda hair and facial products and I have never looked better. This salon is also a studio downstairs and I have been meaning to give their boot camp a try. Quite a few of the stylists are regulars at the boot camps and rave about how fantastic they are. I have been going to beneFIT studio for 5+ years now for their various services (hair and bootcamp primarily) and I think they're all the best. But I want to rave about a particular experience I had recently. beneFIT hired the guy I have been seeing for a few years for massage therapy, which made me fall MORE in love with this studio. What I didn't realize was that now that Anthony was at beneFIT he would be doing other spa treatments besides massage. So I went in a couple of weeks ago to try dermaplane with him. The treatment feels kind of funny and depending on your skin sensitivity you could be a little blotchy red for a few hours after. But the results were amazing. The next day I felt like my skin was glowing! Now that I am entering my 30s, I realize the importance of these kinds of treatments and to see results so quickly, it definitely makes it worth it! read more

My hairstylist moved last year and I have been all over the city looking for a new hairstylist who is good with blondes. It's been a LONG year of looking until I found Angeline. I had very long hair and I'm a picky blonde. After reading all the reviews on yelp I decided to go to benefit salon and chop off all my hair! Angeline asked me several questions and I showed her pics. I knew right away with her experience and confidence that I was going to get a great cut and I was not at all afraid to have her chop it. Many other people seemed very afraid to just trim my long hair that there was no way I would let them cut it short. Angeline gave me exactly the cut I wanted and it is cute and trendy!! I have been going to BeneFIT Studio over the past several months for the bootcamp with my wife and we both agree that the trainers are amazing! They push you to do more then you would do on your own and because of that we have seen some awesome results!! While attending bootcamp you get to meet a lot of the other employes at BeneFit Studio and you find out that they are just as nice and welcoming as the trainers. Because of the all around atmosphere at Benefit, I decided that I would switch to a new stylist that actually attended the bootcamp with us. I set up an appointment to get a hair cut with Blake a couple weeks ago. She made me feel comfortable and just did a Great Job!! Blake has done my hair for a couple years now, she has recently started with Benefit Studio and has done my hair there a few times, the studio is amazing, very calming atmosphere & decorated with a mix of the old and new. They offer several services with a great group of friendly employees. A bout with breast cancer a few years ago, Blake has brought me from the world of bald back to me! We've gone through the growing out process the short & spiky, through my natural dark color mixed with grey to now the blond highlights (my preference). All with keeping my hair healthy and shiny. Blake has a personable fun bubbly personality making each visit very enjoyable. Blake is just fun to be around and spend time with. I highly recommend her. Rachel was recommended to me by a friend, and she has been the first stylist to really understand what I wanted. She did an amazing job with my highlights, lowlights & cut at our first appointment, even though I had a hard time describing exactly what I wanted. One of my co-workers suggested Benefit Salon and that she had been seeing Rachel for several years. I scheduled with Rachel and have loved my hair and the visit every time. The environment itself is relaxing, open and inviting. Rachel has been attentive, caring and a great listener for what I want and don't want. It's awesome to be able to schedule online and request the stylist that you want. It costs a little more but that's okay. You get what you pay for and I love my hair and my color is phenomenal. I get my hair colored and cut by Blake Backman at BeneFIT Studio. The Studio is great! It is quaint, but modern and with a relaxing vibe. Blake is a great colorist! She recently comes from the Ted Gibson salon in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. She accompanied Ted Gibson to New York in 2011 and assisted in styling the models hair for various designers in the Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. Blake is fun and current with the styles and trends! She is very personable and you can tell her goal is to please her guests! She does a fun short haircut for me and we change up the color quite a bit. I have never gotten so many compliments about my hair before Blake became my stylist. Benefit Salon is wonderful! I have been going to this salon for awhile now and it's always consistently great! Lauren is simply one of the best hair stylist out there - period! She always, always, ALWAYS does a phenomenal job with coloring and styling/cutting hair! I have never once walked out of this salon disappointed - ALWAYS a great experience! I was recommended this salon & stylist by one of my best girl friends. I had long and THICK hair but it's healthy. I decided I wanted to do platinum and cut off like 10 inches. Lauren did an amazing job and I am so happy I went here. She is super sweet & nice and she knows what she's doing. I highly recommend her. I even was able to book a last minute appointment for the next day. Their website is awesome & tells you the price & time when you book. They do require a card to hold but that's totally fine. I love this place! If you're on the fence, shopping around for a salon in town, you should give them a go! Everyone I encountered was so pleasant and the atmosphere is awesome. It's a bonus for me that it's close to home but also tucked away where traffic is minimal. I managed to parallel park on the street with no issues, which is always great. As for the service, Jaimie cut my hair and she was so funny and friendly, not to mention incredibly skilled. She explained some ways to help my specific hair problems and was just a joy to visit with in general. She was very knowledgeable and I felt 100% comfortable going into the cut. Blake styled my hair and makeup for my wedding, and did the most amazing job! It was tough planning while I was 1,000 miles away (I'm in Colorado) so we didn't get a lot of chances to test how it looked or see what would work best. Blake knew exactly what I wanted, and nailed my look completely! Her attention to detail and getting vintage-inspired look I wanted was incredible. It's apparent she loves what she does and wants you to look and feel beautiful. I've been a lost pup for sometime, after my regular stylist went back to school. I've bopped around here and there, but I've never been to a place like Benefit Salon. I called day of to see if they had any cancellations, sure enough, fate had it all planned out - an appointment with Angeline was available. I arrived to a beautiful space filled with light and greenery. Once with Angeline she walked me through what I was looking for and got to work. It's extremely nerve wracking to go to a new stylist, but she made me feel at ease - both with the look she was cutting/styling and the ease of conversation.
