After shopping around, I found this Ace Hardware was actually a bit cheaper than the big-box home improvement stores. Ordering online was easy (and don't forget to go through your favorite cash-back website before checking out...). My order was ready for in-store pickup a few days later. Pickup couldn't have been easier. They even offered to help carry everything out to my car, but carrying ten 40-pound bags is lovely exercise... so I declined. The store is easy to get to, just off Route 59, with a convenient parking lot and quick access in and out. It's branded as Wallauer Paint & Hardware, but it's also an Ace Hardware location. In addition to the usual hardware selection, they carry a full line of Benjamin Moore paints. Smooth experience, competitive prices, and friendly service. I'll definitely check here the next time I need supplies.

We had already been speaking with an associate for about five minutes, and I had already chosen my paint colors--Lace White and Caviar Black. We were well into placing our order when another customer walked in and stood behind us. Instead of finishing helping us, the associate immediately turned her attention to him and asked, "What can I help you with?" She spent the next 15-20 minutes discussing his project, asking about paint colors and finishes, mixing his paint, and even carrying on a conversation about his patio--all while my husband and I stood there waiting as if we didn't exist. Finally, I had to interrupt and ask, "Aren't we first in line?" Instead of a genuine apology, all I got was an awkward "Oh..." There was no acknowledgment of how long we had been waiting or that we had been completely overlooked. It honestly left me wondering why we were treated this way. Was it because we're a gay couple? I truly hope not, but I can't understand why we were ignored while another customer who arrived after us received the associate's full attention. Our project was substantial--we were purchasing paint for three bathrooms--and I had already selected the colors and was ready to complete my order. No customer should ever be made to feel invisible or treated as though they don't matter. This experience was unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable. I hope management reviews what happened and ensures that every customer is treated fairly and with the same level of respect.

Not friendly, not helpful. Would not go back again.

When you arrive, there's a screen where you can scan your order barcode or enter your order number. Your name and order pop up on a monitor along with how long you've been waiting -- very much like the old Sears pickup system from years ago, and it works well. While I was waiting, three different employees stopped to ask if I was being helped, which I appreciated. When my order was ready, someone brought it out on a dolly and helped me load it into my car. Loading turned out to be a bit challenging for a few reasons, but the employee helping me was incredibly patient and genuinely helpful throughout the process. While I'm not a fan of driving through the traffic to get to this location, pickup here was a breeze.

What was impressive was he seem to intuitively understand our needs as his client and was quick to resolve any concerns we may have had. I was on the market for painters to help paint my entire apartment (2br 2ba including doors, trim…read moreand baseboards). After doing some research, I knew I wanted to use BJ Moore Regal Select paint which was consistently ranked as the best quality interior paint and we had our colors & finishes already selected. I reached out to 5 different painters to learn about their services, get estimates and I scheduled in-person walkthroughs for my top 2 choices. The walkthrough meeting and followup Q&A really sold me on Century Painting, we hired them and were not disappointed. Jorge (the owner) was responsive, very professional, timely and offered helpful advice about care / maintenance. I requested an initial estimate and covered the majority of questions thru Yelp, shared photos and a floor plan over text, and covered followup questions with Jorge over text and a brief walkthrough meeting I requested so I could get better acquainted with them and be completely transparent about the project scope for our specific space so there wouldn't be any surprises down the road (we have high ceilings and structural beams that might be tricky). Jorge was quick to meet and he provided a firm estimate in writing to me over email. Jorge provided a very competitive quote for the job and he required no advance deposit (most required 10-50% down). He also accepted credit card payment as an option, with full payment expected only when they completed the project (note: they were the only painter of the 5 that accepted credit cards). Jorge and Carlos showed up on time every morning, was able to provide a COI to meet my bldg's requirements, and they came ready to work with all the necessary paint and supplies. They took good care to move / cover our furniture and hardwood floors so they were protected and made sure to return everything clean and put back in place. Jorge encouraged us to identify any holes we may need patched or painting misses that needed correction - tbh, most of these things were proactively detected by them first. They really paid meticulous attention to ensure the quality of their work - and invited us to call them if we had any issues after the project (since we have furniture being delivered following the project). We fortunately had a little paint leftover so we're keeping it just in case we scuff any of the new paint in the process. They were done with the project in 2 days (others quoted me for 3-5 days with 2-4 painters). They were truly a pleasure to work with. We chose 2 dark colors and 1 light color - everything got at least 2 coats of paint but the dark colors required at least 4 coats. It came out beautifully (see pictures). Prices vary, but I did notice a lot of clearance sections during my last visit. You'll surely score something to take home. The location is also great. Big shopping center, plenty of parking and even manageable on weekends. The line funnels everyone into a single line with next customer called to a register when free. While standing around on line, you can browse more stuff you stock on both sides of the line.
