Lowe's recently updated their in-store pickup process (at least, at this location), and it's a big improvement. It's very streamlined. When you arrive, there's a screen where you can scan your order barcode or enter your order number. Your name and order pop up on a monitor along with how long you've been waiting -- very much like the old Sears pickup system from years ago, and it works well. While I was waiting, three different employees stopped to ask if I was being helped, which I appreciated. When my order was ready, someone brought it out on a dolly and helped me load it into my car. Loading turned out to be a bit challenging for a few reasons, but the employee helping me was incredibly patient and genuinely helpful throughout the process. While I'm not a fan of driving through the traffic to get to this location, pickup here was a breeze. read more

We were actually greeted today when we entered and they asked us again if we wanted help. Usually the answer is yes since it's not always easy to find what you're looking for. They also have a veterans discount and veterans parking spaces, which is a nice touch. This one is across the street from Costco and never seems mobbed. read more

This specific Lowes has been good to me and my family these last few years. It's basically the only walk-able store in the area so we don't just come here for home improvement but also convenience supplies like detergent and batteries. During the holidays they have trees and decorations that we have been happy acquiring. Last I came here I visited their major appliance section and bought a washer, dryer, oven, microwave and fridge for my new home. This is my first major purchase for these types of appliances so I didn't 100% know what I wanted. The sales person did a good job talking me through the pros/cons of my first picks. Eventually I decided to get a really nice fridge which had everything I wanted (ice dispenser), which had adequate freezer (which my first pick didn't have) and which also includes cool novelties that I am actually interested in trying. The sales person also did a good job explaining to me how I can get the appliances delivered to my new home. Overall 5K purchase with the 30% end of year discount. Yes, its not an amazing experience. Like most home improvement stores it can be a little hard finding exactly what you want across all the aisles. What I will say though is Lowes has a better variety of products compared to other home improvement stores I have visited. This one in particular is quite good. read more

DO NOT GET ANY HOME IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS DONE WITH THIS LOWES or maybe any of them! we have had the WORST experience ever! We signed a contract with this Lowes for new home flooring in early September and found out the order was never placed in October because we called for a status update ( after we made full payment) . Our sales associate was PRINCESS who never placed the order or followed up. Additionally, every time we called the store for an update or to ask for a resolution, the assistant store manager STELLA would always say she was "waiting to hear back" from someone else and never called back. It is now November and the floors got delivered with incomplete items that we were told were included in our contract. After floor delivery, the store stated that we had to pay an additional $1000 for an assessment that we were never told about. From the beginning until now this process has been a nightmare and the worst customer service we have ever experienced. Save your money and get projects done elsewhere. We have decided to cancel the job and get a full refund because of the stress and now our home will not be done for the holidays. They gave us no sort of compensation for all of their mishaps and were so unprofessional in their follow ups or lack thereof. I do not usually write negative reviews but I truly mean it when I say DO NOT get work done from this LOWES. P.S - If there is ONE person who tried to do anything for us it was MARVIN BLANC. Told to order which I did receive a call it was in, it wasn't then a store manager went and came back with it and I just unrolled it and it's 2 feet shorter than what I ordered. Pure incompetence. A representative named Chris in the garden section went above and beyond to help me find this planter. it was extremely important I get that specific planter on that specific day, to do what I had planned to do. However, I did not need to explain this to Chris, he elected to help me without having to say all of that. Went to Lowes Newburgh, NY looking for an electronic cable witch showed available on Google. Looked and looked to no avail. Went to customer service which I found out there is none since the area is all marked returns. Found an employee at a register who looked up the item ands said it shows aisle 15 and she asked on the store intercom that customer assistance needed on aisle 15. No such product was in aisle 15 and no store employee showed up. Frustrated, I left the store and almost stepped into a plie of dog stuff at the front entrance. Got in my car and called the store to speak to the store manager. This turned out to be fruitless, as the recording said a representative would be right with me. That was a joke, after 10-11 rings, the recording came on and repeated the same phrase. I went through 4-5 recordings of a representative will blah blah blah, that I hung up and went elsewhere. I needed to return some items at Lowe's and was glad to see they had a pretty good system to protect both the employees and the customers there. Unfortunately, while I was at the return counter, I noticed an employee walking around to one of the registers with her mask pulled down. On top of that the customer she was helping wasn't wearing a mask. Neither one seemed to care and I'm concerned that either one of them will blame it on the store rather than their own ignorance if they get sick. On top of that, they had no concerns of possibly spreading the virus to employees or customers. Wish people would take this virus more seriously and cover up! read more

Sad that I live a few minutes away from this store but will rather drive to a Home Depot farther away to purchase what I need. The people working here are rude and not very helpful. It always seems that when you ask something, its either they don't care or get annoyed that you are disturbing them (specially if its not their department). The manager should train his employees. The contractor I hired to do some work in my home said the same thing when I asked him why he has to go to Home depot to get what he needed. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I never been to lowe's before, I usually go to home depot. I went to lowes because my refrigerator broke down. I went in to purchase a new one. I was interested in the one that makes ice and water. I also wanted my kitchen to match. So at the store, me and my husband decided to get a stove too. I explain to the associate that the refrigerator was the most important part. Because I have small kids and I need to have milk in my house at all times. I was told that we will receive it the next day. I was ok with that. I had to use a cooler in my house to hold the milk until then. But the next day I did not receive the refrigerator. I called and was told, that the sales person that helped us entered the wrong date by mistake. I guess since I ordered the stove too, the order was put in for a week. I told them how important it was that I get the refrigerator ASAP. The manager on the phone told me that we will receive the refrigerator the next day. Now it's two days. Guess what, I did not received the refrigerator. The driver said he had alot of stops and put us down at the end of the day and then there was alot of traffic. The driver said he will not come in to the next day. ****** OMG *****. Now it's three days. I'm so desperate and so I waited. I called to complaint. They didn't do anything. When I finally received the refrigerator the Ice and water does not work. I paid for extended warranty and called them immediately. I was transfer from person to person. They said, they would walk me through it on how to fix it. I DON'T WANT TO INSTALL THE REFRIGERATOR, I PAID FOR INSTALLATION. This is ridiculous. I've had too many bad experiences here and I have to write a review to let everyone know. On two occasions when I was trying to return items they refused to take them back. One time I made a huge fuss over it and ended up getting store credit. However, this took talking to the manager and calling the corporate number about their return policy. Be very careful if you are not 100% sure you need something. I never have a problem returning items at Home Depot. My most recent purchase was a dishwasher I placed an order for online. I decided to cancel that order and get it from Home Depot for a cheaper price. I cancelled the Lowes order with Lowes.com but they made me call the store to officially cancel it. I called them today and they could not give me my store credit back without coming physically into the store. I asked if they could send me a digital gift card or mail it. They refuse to do either. Dreadful - absolutely dreadful. Congratulations. Your surly store phone operator and lack of anyone to pick up the phone just cost you a several thousand dollar order. Really - why bother having a phone operator if they transfer you to a line to hold for 5 minutes, only to come back to ask if they can help you? After the fifth time being asked by the same operator if she could help me, the only words I could mention to her before hanging up were to just forget it. Anytime you make a service appointment with a customer and that customer makes an effort to be there on time, have the common courtesy to do the same. Went in today with my wife and unfortunately two employees were working in the plant department and taking their face masks off and/or wearing them inappropriately. If your nose isn't covered it isn't doing anything! They also were not wearing gloves at checkout for some reason?! Customers were also taking off masks inside the store. When I went on a Saturday afternoon the place seemed abandoned, it was hard to find anybody to give assistance. In addition they were out of a particular product and it took 2 employees about 15 minutes to tell me they messed up with inventory and didn't have anymore. I agreed to allow Lowe's to handle the re-model of my kitchen (demolition and install) because of their promise that if there were any problems, the store would take care of it and it would be 'easy'. This was far from the truth. I paid for the install in August, my cabinets arrived in late September, they started work in late October (it took them a month to get around to getting the building permit)...and it is now mid-January and it is still not finished and I continue to operate without a working kitchen. It has been pretty much a constant hassle communicating with their installers (Cento Solutions in my area) even though there is supposed to be a 'project manager' to handle all this. There is no 'project manager' for all practical purposes. The lack of coordination between the store (Nanuet, NY) and the installer is glaring...and frustrating, and the cause of much of the delay. They have done some good work...but it is not worth this degree of aggravation. Just know that you are will be one of dozens of projects they are doing at the same time and their people simply can't handle it. read more

I haven't been back to this place since last year. It's a quarter mile from my house and I prefer it to Home Depot. I walked in looking to pick up some stuff to start some new home projects, and I don't know if they changed the staff over the winter or what happened, but my experience today at this place was absolutely horrendous. The customer service was gross. I felt like the employee's attitudes, when they were to be found, was that of someone that was being bothered and had no time for minor questions. No one was helpful at all. How do you feel about this? I saw something on sale that I could use, so I grabbed a box under the display model. When I'm checking out at the cash register, I get swarmed by ( I guess?) Lowe's security. They whip out numerous box cutters and race for the chance to slice the box open. Then they ask me if I wanted two. I said no. They said the box contains two. I said that doesn't make sense. I examined the box and in tiny print in the corner it did say "two items". I apologized and expressed that it was an honest mistake and that I really didn't need two. Then I was told that I already paid for two, so I could either keep them or go to customer service. I have to add that the tone they were using was as though they were speaking to a four year old. I'm a man in forties! So I apologized again and took my place on the very long customer service line. Twenty five minutes later, the line hasn't budged, so I'm walking out and sharing my experience with the Yelp universe. I'm sure Lowe's will not care about my Yelp review. They are big and will continue to take your money. As far as I'm concerned, this is the last time I step foot in this place. I work way too hard for my money, and if I'm going to spend it somewhere, I would appreciate being treated well before I hand it over. Good customer service goes a long way in my book. You know what? Cento Solutions, Lowe's contractor hooked up the tub to drain into the vent, then installed the tub without inspection. Lowe's suggested I pay Cento to explore with cameras and digging up floor to find block in my pipes. Plumbing inspector would not pass plumbing until they pulled the tub up. This took 2+ months. After the mistake was revealed, Lowe's has abandoned me, with a "final resolution". I have less than 2 wks to take the unsatisfactory offer. They value the framing, wires and bad plumbing @ $16,000 and will not refund my money ($25,000 + $3,000 interest)all on Lowe's credit. This store I drove approx. 1.5 hrs round trip for specific items I really needed for an important project I've been trying to finish (since only they had enough pieces in stock) BUT instead when I got home I found I was given 20 WRONG items and wrong item number not even same as the picture on their website (each piece is a 4x8 and are large bulky items) all wrong from the item I'd ordered and all anyone can say is "sorry"? Called 800 # got jerked around, called the store, same story!! Many empty sorries given AND that's as usual, since I've heard it all before with no result. NO ONE ever resolves your issue THEY alone caused themselves!! Every single Lowe's I've been to has given and caused me an issue at some point, there are many and issues varied, I can't even begin to list them all. It's enraging. Why do I go back? It's like being a bad relationship in a way, although, I wouldn't ever be in one in real life, but in this regard, choices are slim when you're in need of certain items to complete home projects and Lowe's sometimes has them in stock.
