Cruz, was incredibly helpful in helping me figure out how to touch up my railing with the small amount of paint I had left in the bottom of the can, which was buried under a crust that had formed over the past decades. Accordingly, I was able to complete my touch up without having to buy a quart of new paint, and to finish the job with a minimal amount of work and without having to repaint the entire railing. When you arrive, there's a screen where you can scan your order barcode or enter your order number. Your name and order pop up on a monitor along with how long you've been waiting -- very much like the old Sears pickup system from years ago, and it works well. While I was waiting, three different employees stopped to ask if I was being helped, which I appreciated. When my order was ready, someone brought it out on a dolly and helped me load it into my car. Loading turned out to be a bit challenging for a few reasons, but the employee helping me was incredibly patient and genuinely helpful throughout the process. While I'm not a fan of driving through the traffic to get to this location, pickup here was a breeze.

When we started searching for furniture for our new house a few years ago Derbyshire popped up on just about every list I checked and had plenty of great reviews. Now that we've made a few of our own purchases I totally understand the praise this small business gets. The shop is small but mighty and packed with so many good pieces. If your style leans traditional - they've got it. If your style leans more contemporary/modern - they've got it. Plus a few things in between that could go in either direction and work with just about any style or decor. Everything is solid wood and totally customizable. You can pick your stain or paint plus your hardware (should you order something with hardware, of course). The couple that owns the shop have always been very kind and very patient, answering all the questions... especially when I was coming in every other week for too many weeks to look at dressers before I finally made up my mind. Lead time was accurate, delivery days/times were accommodating and the guys that arrived to place our items were totally courteous. For our last order/delivery the guys didn't leave until they leveled our dressers perfectly. I didn't even have to ask.. they just did it and that's how a good delivery and install team should operate. Truly, I only have good things to say about Derbyshire. Next piece of wood furniture that we need I will definitely be stopping in Derbyshire first to check things out.
