I never finished this review from last summer! Here it is now:…read more I'm a little surprised Rossano's has no reviews, but they're pretty old school, so I guess that's fitting. Most people probably learn about them by word of mouth, as I did when I first moved to Delaware County. Mr. Rossano is a laconic, no-nonsense, plain-spoken guy-- no slickness or smooth talking-- who really cares about cars. At times I've been a little embarrassed to tell him about the latest thing I've done to my poor car, because he seems almost offended on its behalf. But I overcome my qualms and tell him, because he's great. His prices are low, and he's fair and honest. He doesn't fix anything that doesn't need fixing-- there have been several occasions when I've thought the problem was something expensive, and he's told me it was actually something much cheaper. My old car lived about 18 months beyond its life expectancy, for which I credit the guys at Rossano's. On its last visit there, they spent many hours trying to fix a problem that wouldn't be fixed, and then charged me an unbelievable small amount for their trouble. Also, the shop is kind of a neat place to visit (once you find it-- it's kind of out of the way). It's tiny, but it has more personality than most mechanics' shops I've been to. Instead of Lukoil ads on the walls, there are lots of old photographs and vintage ads and lots of horse-related things. I asked about the horse stuff once, and Rossano told me he and his wife have a horse farm. Busy guy. Kind of a great combination of interests.

Started going there when I had gotten estimates for work on an old car that were in the 800-1200 range which I know enough about cars to know was exorbitant for what was needed. So I didn't do it then.. but the car died on the highway a week or two later ... the tow driver suggested this place, I shrugged and said OK. They called me a couple days later ... total bill 250.. Well my pickup had a sheaf of work I expected to be in the thousands... took it here to NE pronto, and the bill was just over 1200. Always prices I find reasonable or better, and good work. Sometimes as said slow to get in or getting parts, but for good work at honest prices I'm happy to deal with it.

I had to be sure I heard him right I said I have my own parts I just want the labor he said "about" 250 (as if it would be more when I get there) I called other places to check if it was fair the Asians in southwest quoted me 100 for labor, pep boys 125 per hour (it's an hour worth of labor) pep boys told me 285 without the parts and it will come with lifetime warranty! So I'm at the Asians in southwest because I already had the parts plus they usually who I go to anyway I was just closer to Larry and tried to support a black owned business but that didn't go so well i don't appreciate being almost ripped off also I think he really tries to get over on women since most ppl I know he ripped off were women. I find this 3 days after purchase and receiving, after which, the car is already 2 days late from when they said they'd ship it. I've contacted them 5 times over two weeks and they don't call back to resolve the key issue. During all of this, I now find the backup camera stops working. Something they said they replaced for me. Again, called them, emailed them. They don't ever call back or acknowledge these problems. But rest assured, the AI chat bot on their website says they'll make this "high priority" and get back to me. It's been two weeks and no one has called or e-mailed. Nothing but a scam these people. They are apparently okay with having a 16 year old girl stuck on the side of the road, in 30 degree weather, without a way to get into her car to manually start it and get home. Wish I could give them a 0 star, but 1 is the lowest I can give.

They explained to me that they check the car throughly before selling. I hear this from dealerships all the time, I look at how they follow through with their promises. After driving my new car for a day, the breaks started to squeak. So I came in to check them out. after seeing the brakes, wjth my own eyes, I knew they did there due diligence. BUT not only did they see me right away, even through the brakes are perfrct and should be working fine. They told me that they'll replace the rotors and pads anyway!! Thats a 1000 dollar job at minimum for brakes that in my opinion are perfect. So they definitely have won over my business and I will be buying more cars from them very soon!!!

It ended up being a dead battery. They jumped me and advised me to get it tested to save me the fee they would have to charge. I got it tested and went back.
