I'm guessing the 5 star reviews are from family, friends and locals; although if this review was for just the staff it would be a 5. Everyone was so helpful and polite. It seems like this place is run by a few barely post pubescents and I actually couldn't be happier about that. It's refreshing to see some hustle out there!! The restaurant itself is very cute and cozy with a fair amount of seating. The exterior is fairly unassuming and not typical of the pie joints we see in New England. I'd say more Italian bistro decor. There's plenty of parking and it's easy to get to although a little off the beaten path. The food was good, but nothing was outstanding. It came out super hot and fresh and that helped enhance it a little. The cutlet in the chicken parm was fresh and was thin without being overcooked; which can happen sometimes. The Neapolitan style pizza was serviceable and as good as you'll find in this area. I'm glad I found Bennys on Yelp! Rounding up to 4 stars because of the staff but it's probably a 3 if based on food. read more

Looked for a quick pizza and pasta spot for lunch in the Poconos and we were not disappointed! Quite literally in the middle of nowhere it seems, but we ordered a large pie with pepperoni, mushrooms, and green peppers which was perfectly crisp and generous with toppings. I live in nyc so I feel like I'm a pretty good judge of a ny slice and this was great. We also ordered a penne ala vodka which was kid approved. I did feel that the penne dinner order could have been bigger but flavor was good. Great spot to visit! read more

We found Benny's on our way to the mall. Decided to sample their pizza first. We're glad we did as we thoroughly enjoyed their Meat Lover pizza. They also offers a good variety of sandwiches and Italian dishes as well. Staff was friendly, and service was fast. It seems to be family owned and operated. At the time of our dining, interior was well decorated for Halloween, which gives a nice touch for the season. They may not be the best in the area, but they do provide a quality pizza at a good price. read more

Party Trays .. if you're wondering about ordering party trays from Benny's, this is my experience .. in general, party trays usually come in half or full sizes, and approx 2.5" deep .. however the party trays from Benny's are half that depth, a much shallower pan, therefore you're actually getting much less food (for the same price) than if you order party trays from other places. We also ordered party trays from Catty Corner and Sam Owens for the same event, which were the normal depth. The food from all locations was very good. read more

Always enjoy eating here at our annual gathering of friends each August. Pizza delivery by Polak was fantastic, speedy and called us ahead as requested to let us know he was on his way se needed to meet him at our gated property entrance. Also dined at the restaurant, and while our waitress wasn't that knowledgeable about the menu, e we were able to figure it all out. Chicken Parmesan dishes with both tomato sauce as well as the "not on the menu" version with Alfredo sauce were all fantastic. The homemade Alfredo was really incredible. I just wish this place would get a license for beer and wine. But 5 starts overall from me both on delivery and dining in the restaurant. Looking forward to next August! Maybe the Boss Man will finally stop by to say hello. ;-p read more

Best pizza and Italian restaurant in the area and the state probably. We were staying at Camelback resort coming from NJ and decided to stop by for dinner. We tried the pizza and pasta dishes and everything tasted fresh and delicious. It was better than any family pizza place I've tried at my home state in NJ and I've tried many. The service can be slow at times but the food overall was worth the wait. Restaurant has a nice, cozy, friendly atmosphere. The only downside was the parking lot which was unpaved and you need to avoid potholes when parking. read more

I never leave Yelp reviews but I have to recommend Benny's for takeout. We ordered a lasagna pizza, a cheese and pepperoni pizza, garlic bread, and a Greek salad. It was a great value and very tasty. The staff was very helpful and gave us a military discount. highly recommend! read more

I was pleasantly surprised with the pizza at Benny's! The restaurant itself has plenty of parking and the interior decor is nice and quaint. We ordered 3 pies: plain cheese, pepperoni and a custom pie with 5 toppings. The plain and pepperoni was good but the custom pie had way too much cheese which made it very difficult to eat. Also, the chicken cutlet they used was definitely old and more fried instead of breaded which is what you would typically expect. Overall, the pizza was pretty good. For some reason, they won't provide spices on the side if you pick up. I found that pretty odd. Also, looks like it's a one man show doing everything there. Maybe that's Benny?! read more

Spending a long weekend in the poconos when we got the craving for some chicken parm. My expectations were measured as I am a snobby New Yorker and also of Italian decent, but we gave it a shot. The crew of guys working there were friendly and recommended the calamari. I was even more skeptical about ordering fish in a place I didn't yet trust, but the one guy insisted so I figured why not. Everything was incredible, but what tied it all together was the sauce that came with the calamari and mozzarella sticks. Honestly some of the best sauce I've eaten. First time experience here was a good one! Small inside but very clean and comfortable. I ordered spaghetti with pesto and shrimp, and received penne. The server acknowledged the mistake, I stuck with the penne and it was very good. The meal came with a salad and bread, both very satisfying. I also had a plain slice that definitely impressed me. Love their pizza. I live nearby and order often. At the beginning of the Covid 19 pandemic, Benny's was doing a fantastic job trying to keep staff and the public safe. I was impressed and felt comfortable ordering take out here for myself and my pregnant wife regularly. However, the last two times I ordered, NO ONE was wearing a mask when I entered to pick up my order. The person who took my money did not have a mask on, nor did the staff preparing the food- who can be seen from the pick up counter.
