It is served with a lemon wedge and a very small pack of Tartare Sauce. On the table is a vinegar container as well. Although that vinegar tasted weak or maybe it was just plain white vinegar. I do prefer the dark malt vinegar. Crown Fish & Chip Bar also serve up Gyros (Doner) and other fried foods. They have plenty of sides such as salad, mushy peas, etc. to add on to your meal. (Though it was one of my fears considering it's located at a highly touristic point at King's Cross Station.) In fact, the fish was fresh and flakey, while the chips were perfectly cut and well-seasoned. There was even a side of minty peas next to my fresh-cut lemon wedges that made me smile. I paired it with a cold pint of a local draught Cider that was also quite refreshing on this balmy, summer day. Equally as impressive, my meal was ready almost as quick as the whip of my wand and the snap of my fingers. Granted, it was 3pm in the afternoon and the crowds were light at that time. But still. The locomotive speed on my order was noted and very much appreciated. To top it off, the friendly staff helped me navigate through my whims and indecision with their selection of pints and cocktails (and even the city to find my next stop). When in London…read more... Anytime I visit the UK, one of my must haves is good old fashioned fish and chips. While at my hotel, I searched my trusty Yelp which brought me to Hoxton Fish House. I didn't have to look at the menu at the counter - I simply said "fish and chips" please. I took a seat outside and waited for my delectables to arrive. The time seemed like plank/burpee minutes, but in reality the food came out relatively quick. When I took my first bite / it was mission accomplished. Each bite was all I wanted and more. The fish and chips were fabulous - I ended up unable to finish due to the size of the meal. The atmosphere was pretty laid back and sitting outside was somewhat relaxing. If you're anywhere in the area, I highly recommend this place!
