I cannot say enough good things about the young men who moved me in the rain. They were care and concerned about my family treasures and worked carefully and quickly to get things in out of the rain. I have been recommending Ben's Moving and Storage to my clients for many years. After the last 2 jobs they did for my clients that will no longer be the case and they will now be listed as a company we do not recommend. They ripped off my first client after quoting her about $900 for her move (minimal items remained in the home) they charged her over $1,400 when the job was done. My next clients were treated horribly by Ben. He made rude comments, repeatedly entered rooms he was told not to (they contained items the buyer had purchased so they were to remain with the home), demanded that my client make them "frozen pizza or something" for lunch, working for a couple hours and trying to bill them for 8, packing boxes that were overflowing, showed up without tape 2 days in a row and charging the client time while they went to get tape, the list goes on and on. Ben left for hours and charged for 4 guys when there was only 3 (because he left). I called the office and reported Ben's attitude and bad behavior. The woman in the office said she would address it and call me back. Ben called me and asked me why I told his "mom" things about him, he said it was a misunderstanding and hung up. Ben coming in and demanding payment in full after saying over phone he would accept being paid by the hour, not just changing his contract with me, but the fact that you need to watch the movers every second as they make things in my opinon disapeer from you. read more

I would appreciate a phone call back regarding our move on December 23/24. We setup for 2 trucks/6 movers. We got 2 trucks/4 movers. They were 45 minutes late arriving. All of this lead to the move going until around 9pm. Then, we were told we would have a truck and 3 movers the next morning. We got 2 movers. Again, taking longer than it should, costing more money. The liftgates on both trucks gouged our 1 week old driveway. The trucks leaked so bad and stained the street, to where it was brought to our attention by our neighbors. Paint was scuffed and the ceiling was hit and scuffed going up the stairs. I have emailed Leslie and tried contacting you thru your website with no results for the past week. Used Ben's today to move my mother in laws house, Time was critical and Ben understood that. He came out and gave me a quote yesterday and moved me today. Appreciate him expediting this so quickly. His guys were courteous, professional and worked their butts off for me(105 heat index today) and they finished faster than what was quoted. Using Bens climate controlled storage and was pleasantly surprised at how clean it was inside. Hope to be moving soon and will definitely give Ben a call when we do. read more

There were two young boys and an elderly man in the office who are ignorant, rude, and despicable human beings. My 70 year old grandmother who just lost her husband was waiting with my father and I while we moved some household items around in our storage units. She needed to use the restroom and walked up to the office to ask if there was one available. We could not drive her, as we had unsecured items in our trailer hooked up to our half loaded truck. Upon walking into the office, the older man behind the counter said "What do you want?" My grandmother replied "I'm looking for your restroom" the man barked back "we have no restroom, walk to the gas station." What kind of person tells a fragile old woman to walk down the highway to use the restroom? She walks with a limp, it is very obvious that she is not perfectly mobile. We will be removing all of our items, and keeping our business far away from the clutches of these inhumane cretins. read more

Wish I would have checked here before booking Ben's to move our home. First of all there were suppose to be 3 men moving us but apparently someone called in sick but they planned on making us pay the same price. Our expensive couch was not covered and drug across the dirty truck floor. There was also a lovely cigarette burn in our new couch and our bed was put back together incorrectly and fell apart on us 5 nights later while we were sleeping. I had to pay 125 to have my couch cleaned but there is nothing I can do about the nasty hole. I called Ben with my concerns and he was very confrontational and rude right off the bat. He stated I had 48 hours to report the damage so there was nothing he would do. This man has no business working in a customer based field because he has absolutely no couth or empathy. DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE AND DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS. read more

Unprofessional and made my move that much more stressful. I spoke to Ben over the phone and booked my move more than 2 weeks in advance. He said he would call the day before my move to confirm and secure payment. When I did not hear from the company, I called and was told there was no record or booking for my move that was to happen Saturday, the following morning. Ben called me and immediately was defensive, blamed me for his mistake saying he has not made one mistake in the 20 years he has been doing this. He told me that he was on vacation and he could move me the following Monday and if I didn't like that, I could call somebody else. I was in tears after that call and was shocked by this man's unprofessionalism and complete lack of responsibility for his error. Using profanity and disrespectful. He did move me on Sunday, but not Saturday as I had everything planned for. He had 2 movers come out for a move that took 2 hours. The move was 1 mile. I paid the amount the employee requested, which is the rate advertised on their website. Now Ben has threatened to take me to court for a move he says cost almost $800. The office manager also said after the fact that I was being charged for travel time because I was not a local move although their receipt says they serve my area. My opinion, based on my experience, is that this business is not trustworthy, reliable or responsible. read more

I never write reviews, but if I can save one person from booking this company I have done my job. They were supposed to arrive between 12-2, but called and said they wouldn't be able to make it until 4:30 or 5. I had to be out of my old house at 5, so that clearly wouldn't work. It was a cluster, as we had to take numerous trips of boxes to the new house. They ended up showing up at three, and everything was a rush. The movers really did work hard and did their best to get out by 5. A huge piece of wood got knock out of my door frame from the movers, and a couple black marks were made on the wall of my new house. A couple weeks later when I was paying the bill on my card I noticed that I was charged an additional $300. They did refund it without a problem, but this whole moving experience was a nightmare. I booked the moving company to have a stress free move, but they caused more stress then if I would have just moved it by myself. Don't use this company! read more

We hired this company to move our belongings and completely regretted making that decision. The company is dishonest, untrustworthy and irresponsible. The movers damaged our new hard wood floor and walls. We contacted "Ben" who fabricated some far fetched story, that we agreed to a risk of possible damage. There was never a conversation about possible damage or concern, until after the damage, nor did the movers make any attempt to cover or protect our floors. Ben refused to pay for the damaged in full and insisted on paying only half of the damages. He stated that if we want more , for us to take him to court. He further insulted us by blatantly lying to the BBB saying our floor was laminate? The company is a joke and I'm surprised there isn't more complaints against them. Do not use this company! We have rented a storage unit here for a little over a year. A quarter of our belongings have been ruined by water. The ceiling leaked all over our stuff. When I went to the office to talk about it in January, the man behind the counter said rain happens and that there wasn't anything he could do about it. He did give me a bucket, more specifically he pointed at a bucket across the parking lot and told me to put it under the leak. Artwork and family photos are ruined. read more

TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. Their 'office' is dirty & smelly and so is the rest of their property. One of the movers Ben complained about how we packed our boxes. I overheard him call me & my wife idiots. They were ruff with our belongings and later on I noticed one leg on my table was broken and the surface was scratched. On top of that when I got my bill the prices were higher than what we discussed. I asked Ben why & he just shrugged his shoulders. He had no idea what was going on. I called the owner Phil and he denied what he told me about the prices. Dishonest to say the least.
