I had a very bad experience today. I went for full legs, full hands waxing and a french gel manicure. The lady who did waxing got tired and went to rest for 20mins making me seated. I waited for about 45mins and then she came to do my manicure !! She did not trim my nails properly, she did not even do my cuticles. When I asked her to do properly, she rudely replied me "I know how to do. Don't tell me." I was like what ?? I am paying money and you need to do properly !! She did not even apply a base coat. When I asked for it, she again rudely "this gel polish don't need a base coat". I was like okay. She did not even applied my french polish properly. It is so un even. And she dint even applied top coat. I gave her 25$ for this manicure which is not at all worthy !! read more

I know when I wrote my 1st two reviews , I absolutely LOVED the staff, atmosphere, cleanliness, price, and all the "specials" they had to offer for pedicures, ranging from a "basic pedicure" to a "deluxe" pedicure." I have to say after my last visit to Bensalem Spa, it WILL be my LAST! I went one time and decides to get a "Gel Manicure" for the 1st time b/c so many women were telling me how gr8 it was to get one and how much the nail polish would last. I got mine done a few days before Christmas and the "gel" nail polish immediately started peeling off by the 3rd day. I went back on the 23rd of December to get it fixed only to discover my nails were chipping away more by Christmas Eve. :( So, I had to go back to the salon after Christmas, pay $10.00 and get the nail polish removed from my fingers. Last week, I decided to treat my mom to their "deluxe" pedicure package. I MUST say I pay $100.00 for both, which includes a 20 minute massage, hot stone massages on our legs, and paraffin on our feet, and it wasn't nearly worth 1/2 of the money! The girl who did my feet did NOT smooth out the dryness on the bottom of my feet and she seemed like she didn't know what she was doing! The whole time she was talking to another person who was doing my mom's pedicure in her pedicure, in the meantime, I see the "male owner" of the mani/pedi place taking a "nap" on one of the massage chairs! He had his shoes off and everything! He was sound asleep! After my mom and I got done with out pedi's, we got our eyebrows waxed. As soon as we put our feet under the "lights" to be dried, we could see my mom's nail polish coming off her toes! They had to repo list her toes all over again b/c there was any nail polish left. What really and truly angered me the most was that when I paid the bill, I paid for everything and gave both the woman who did my mom's and I's pedi's a descent tip. As one of the ladies was ringing us up, she asked me how much of a tip I was going to be leaving the woman who did our eyebrow waxing? I was confused by this b/c I honestly believe that the person who does your mani/pedi should also do your waxing too. But, I was constantly being "questioned" over and over again about tipping the woman who waxed our eyebrows. I gave the cashier $20.00 ($10.00 for each girl that did my mom and I pedi's) and she was still inquiring about where the money was for the girls who waxed our eyebrows? I could NOT believe she was actually sitting there in front of my face and trying to divide the money up so everyone got their "fair share" and since she couldn't figure it out, she kept asking me for more money!!!! I am so happy that I did NOT give her anymore money b/c my mom are very dissatisfied with the service and now my toenail polish is coming off after 1 week of getting it done. I come to the place to have a "relaxing" experience; NOT to be harassed for tips and half-dozen jobs. They lost 2 customers here! read more

I used to work at a nail salon so I understand the process of how things should be done. My experience wasn't as well as other yelpers. My massage was weak and they didn't scrub my feet nor trim my cuticles and get rid of dead skin. I'm usually sensitive so a good massage would be ticklish for me but it felt like she was just running her hand along my calf. The hot stone massage wasn't all that good either. It was just something warm running up and down my legs. All these could be done by myself. Now for polish, my toes aren't the worse, pretty normal actually compare to some I've work with. She did a good job painting it but I came for the whole package so I'm a bit disappointed overall. If I just wanted good a good polish, I woulda paid $10 instead of $22. This place is downright AWFUL!!!! They 100% water down their products and they are INCREDIBLY rude. I went in to get a gel manicure with a coworker. The product on my nails was drying strange as if it was WATERY. After the gentleman (who was actually quite pleasant) made his second attempt at redoing the entire manicure we decided I would come back the next day to fix it. To my surprise when I went to leave the ladies at the front DEMANDED payment. When I refused and stated I would pay when I came back to get them fixed she proceded to get super nasty and actually PATRONIZED me as if I was stupid and not understanding why she was asking me for payment. Because I am on a business trip and I didn't want trouble (and these nasty ladies I know would have brought some) I reluctantly agreed to paying for half of the botched nail job with the agreement that I would pay for the second half on my return. Cheap ! Ignorant ! Rude ! Poor work. Longer hours but not worth it they don't even talk to you while your getting your nails done

I don't usually complain or write reviews, but I want you to avoid the experience I had. I made an appointment for a "Spa Pedicure." As I was seated, the technician did not greet me, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt, as we all have our bad days. If I had known what kind of pedicure I was in for, I would've jumped right out of the seat and walked out, even though I was looking forward to it. Throughout my pedicure, the technician barely said a word to me, but was instead worried about talking to the girls next to her, rather than focusing on what she was doing. That's probably why as she was cutting my cuticles, she cut the skin below my big toe, which made me start bleeding. I expected an apology after I started bleeding, but she continued on with no apology as the cut bled and stung. The 1 star is for the massage I received on my legs, which was satisfactory, otherwise I'd give 0 stars. Overall, I came home disappointed to discover that not only was I cut, but my heels were not soft, and 2 nails were only half painted. I don't plan on coming back, because I noticed that the place is dirty and messy as I took a look around while waiting for my polish to dry. read more

By far the best nail salon I've been to. I've been to many that average around the same price but this place gives you extra services included in the price, such as extra long massages. If you are getting a pedicure, it includes an extra long massage along with a hot stone massage. If you are getting a manicure, it includes your hands being dipped in wax for extra softness. The woman who did my nails kept cutting my fingers with the electric file and regular file. They treat their paying customers like dirt. There was an issue with the help color I paid $10 For. I noticed it after I paid on my way to the car. I went right back in and the woman behind the counter did not want to file it off and repaint them after I just paid $10 extra for the gel color less than 2 minutes ago. She told me if she had it taken off she would have recharge me again the $10 I just paid them. They are not losing any money at all. The gel nail polish is $10 a bottle. Essentially I just paid for a whole bottle of nail polish. Every other place I have went too whenever there was an issue they fixed it right away and apologized. This is America not Asia or Vietnam. The hard working paying customer is always right in America. After the way I was treated I felt like calling the cops because I paid for a good service I did not receive. I felt like I was robbed. This was BY FAR the worst nail appointment I have ever booked. I came in wanting a Pink and White set and the tech refused to do my nails ombré instead of French style, so I opted for a regular acrylic set instead. My nails were super rushed. They were uneven, super thick, and just all around poorly shaped. I told the tech I was unsatisfied and she aggressively filed my nails for a few more moments before telling me that was the best she could do. Then to make matters worse, she and a man who works there were yelling at me to hurry and pick a color so they could get me out the door -- I didn't have a color picked because initially I wanted a Pink and White set. At that point I decided to just pay the tech for her work and take the loss. I DO NOT recommend coming to this salon. Im not the type to leave reviews but I specifically took the time to leave this one. I've never been so unhappy leaving a salon before. Getting your nails done is supposed to be fun and relaxing but this whole encounter was just terrible. I took my business to my usual Nails 2000 in Oxford Valley Mall and got the nails I wanted. The manicurist was friendly and very efficient. Great shoulder massage as I waited for my paraffin to set up. In and out in 30 minutes. I got clear polish so it didn't take too long to fully dry. Great prices. Clean. They offer three different pedicures: basic, deluxe, and spa (complete with hot stone message and paraffin wax). Sometimes it gets very busy (weekends, summer holiday weekends) and you wait a long time. Sometimes they take a long time and are extra thorough. This place is horrible. I went and got a gel manicure done before my trip to Mexico and the polish peeled right off as I was leaving for the airport the next morning at 5:30am!!! When I told the nail tech I wanted the OPI White, she told me they don't have white. I told her several times yes you do it's number 1 on the nail sample palette. She used some other brand and it looked cheap. I also told her I wanted a simple pineapple design on two of my nails and she's like I don't know how to do that. Like are you EFFIN serious?!?!? You are an artist or at least someone else should know how to do designs. By the 3rd day, my gel polish had already come off on 4 of my nails. Rude young girls working there, who gossip the whole time instead of paying much attention to what they are doing AND the male owner(?) is not much better, as he gossips with them. This salon has always been great for me! It is very clean and the staff is very friendly and welcome you immediately upon entering. There is a lot of staff always working so you usually do not have to wait too long if very crowded. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because if you make an appointment it doesn't always mean you will get the person you scheduled for and you may still have to wait. If you are a regular you will usually get the person you want with an appointment, so stick with them....it is worth it! Other than that, I love this place! read more

Good nail salon, quick and convenient. Gel manicures are the least expensive in the area, and last at least a week and a half if not more. I had stopped coming here a few years ago when they were in the practice of having a nail tech work on multiple customers nails at the same time (even if the customer came in after you) which was really annoying and time consuming if you are on your lunch hour. Went here based on the positive reviews and decided to get a pedicure. Completely disappointed and will definitely never be going back. Probably one of the worst pedicures I ever gotten. I sat there the whole time with my feet in the water but the jets were never turned on, I looked around and every other customers jets were on. Also, the woman decided to not scrub any dead skin of of my feet which is one of the main reason i get pedicures, again looked around and every other customer had some electric tool used to remove dry skin. Lastly she did a horrible job painting my nails. To top it off as I was sitting at the dryer for my polish to dry, the woman comes up to me and rips the toe separators off of my feet and tells me that I am done. decided to come here because I have gotten a pedicure before here and it was decent. Bad idea I went in for a simple manicure with a design and they suggested gel . Number one if you are going to suggest gel color you should know how to do it and not have to ask someone how to do it each step . then after all was said and done I left and went to a different store and went to grab something off a shelf and realized that my nails were tackey still wet not dried properly . I went back to see if they could fix and I was told that's how gel is and that it seems it bc I wouldn't get acrylic on my nails . My favorite nail salon between Bucks County and New Castle County, DE. the value of their basic manicure is outstanding, where else do you get a mani, massage and paraffin wax treatment for just $10! The pedicures are great too, the hot stones are a nice touch. They do rush a little too much when they are slammed, which I can understand because they really do try to get everyone in. Was crowded and when I went to leave they followed me to the parking lot. Pretty pushy! Worst pedicure I have ever received - did not even scrub off the dry skin. Used the wrong color and when I was having gel manicure done I showed them that it did not match so they put a coat of the correct color on top while my fingers were being done. No top coat and it chipped quickly. Manicure was done by a man and was the worst - it looks like the polish was old and thick - it is not smooth - it is bumpy and wavy. Sides are not painted all the way to the edges. I tried to discuss it with them but they play dumb like they don't understand you and speak back in another language that you can not understand. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST PLACE - with so many other places to choose from I will never go back there - felt totally ripped off - had to have a new mani/pedi done with in that week because it looked so bad. read more

The owner is so money hungry and rude. My sisters manicure by her was no more then 6 minutes long. She rushed her to take a higher paying client who was getting a refill ($10 compared to $25) she wasn't even given a full manicure. My sister went to the salon with long pretty nails and left with stubby short nails. Nail polish was all over her skin and the lady didn't bother to clean it up nor did she give her a back rub while she was drying; she had another lady do the back rub about 15 minutes later when she heard us speaking about it (mind you everyone gets one after their services are done.) When I approached her she laughed in my face and spoke whatever language she speaks to the other workers. She gave me every excuse in the book, she's extremely unprofessional. I explained to her I felt my sister was rushed and didn't get to enjoy it and she shrugged her shoulders at me. She also brought another client into the disagreement to try to prove us wrong. Apparently this isn't the first manicure she messed up or client she pissed off. A woman listening to my sister and me speak told us she was in a week before and went back the next day to complain that her nails looked horrible. It couldn't be any more obviously my sister was rushed and not cared for the way she should have been because the owner cared more about the client paying more money.
