Let me just say, the fact that this is listed as a "Day Camp" is so accurate and wonderful!…read moreDirtybird fans, rejoice... you've found the place. This summer camp style music festival in Southern California is the quintessential Dirtybird party. DJs play camp games with you (capture the flag, dodgeball, talent show), lunchtime cookouts are frequent, and there's even teams as if you're at actual summer camp. The camping situation is a bit "rugged" meaning you may end up on rocky ground, so make sure to bring some extra padding and/or air mattress. You don't need to spend a lot of time in your campsite because there is always something going on in "main camp." I can't rave more (literally) about this summer camp music festival. If you love Dirtybird, just go.

Went to this fest for the first time last weekend. I do a lot of EDM fests / campouts and this one…read morewas definitely fun but a much smaller scale / more intimate affair than most. There are only two music stages and this year they seemed to concentrate on what everyone kept calling 'booty dancing deep house music' which just isn't exactly my thing. After Justin Martin, Sat night's music was pretty bad - almost everyone was mentioning it. I don't know if the DJ's were just high as heck or what. Sunday night seemed a lot better but we had to leave early anyway. I like more of a variety of music being played at fests, more stage options & art installations / experiences similar to what you get with Electric Forest & Shambhala - especially for a $200 ticket price point which isn't much less than those other two much bigger fests cost for 4 day weekends vs DB's 3 day. The food & alcohol selection was also very limited & uber expensive. I suggest pre-gaming or sneaking in your own. That being said, the staff & festival goers were awesome, the DJ's are just walking around meeting people, and there are fun games & activities all throughout the fest all weekend which really reminded me of a summer camp experience for adults. It's super chill, fun and generally a good time. Final Verdict: If it's your kind of music / artists playing & you like smaller, more intimate, campout affairs def go!

Today, we were told that memberships must be canceled 30 days in advance, even though the website clearly states notice must be given by the 25th of the month. We were planning to freeze our membership over the summer, and the interaction quickly became hostile. The staff member also told us that makeup classes could not be used for holiday closures, despite that policy also being outlined on their website. To make matters worse, we were not even given credit for the holiday closure until we specifically asked about it, at which point they said they would "look into it." Overall, the experience felt very unprofessional and unnecessarily rude. This is especially disappointing because we were hoping to find a gymnastics gym we could stay with long term. If you are looking for a well-run gymnastics program for your children, I would not recommend this location.

And we're checking with the reception every week to see if it is her turn. For 6 month every week the reception lady said my daughter is number 1 in the wait list. One week we miss the class and didn't ask for her turn. Now the reception is telling me that my daughter lost her turn because I didn't respond to their email within 48 hours. Very bad communication! Very disappointing! How can she see me every week asking and they don't bother to make a call or text when it is my daughter's turn. Now probably it will take another 6 months of wait because she is number 2 on the waitlist! Seriously no sense of customer care for these kids and no respect for parents at this business!

Great venue for kids' parties other than the jumping/slide venues we usually go to. It appears…read moremost parties do paintings to a theme of your choice, but my son chose fimo art claylike modeling My son wanted an automobile theme. There were three art teachers showcasing three different cars the kids could make, a big rig, VW better type and a race car. The kids had time to make two model cars, and they are given a little takeout box to take as the figures need a couple days to dry. The positives: (1) only kids participating are included in the 15 kid flat rate charge for parties, so non participating siblings and adults are unlimited up to capacity for the venue. You can bring more than 15 kids, but then you are charged per child or adult doing the art. (2) you can bring your own food and parents and kids can eat anytime during the party. I hate being forced to feed everyone the last 30 or 45 minutes of a party. We catered some Vietnamese food (Huong Giang Food to Go next to Whale Spa. Food was amazing) and ordered from Ameci's pizza in the same plaza (amazing service, prices and pizzas!) (3) venue is huge (4) location is good, it's right next to a Daiso in case you forget anything (5) staff are easy going (6) you don't need to bring any decorations unless you want to since they will make art to suit your child's theme. There isn't really a negative aside from the shorter time frame, we get 30 minutes to set up but the parties are set for two hours. Next time, I will probably purchase an extra hour. Remember to purchase three table clothes for tables that are 2.5 by 5 feet, I got them at Hobby Lobby for 99 cents each. I will be back for other parties.

Fast forward to now, I was always surprised with what he learned from school. He just turned 4 and he can read a little bit of 3 letter words and simple adding. He really liked his teachers and made friends. The staff have been so accommodating to our family's schedule as we had to stop school here and there and change days. They are super easy to work with and understanding. I would definitely recommend having your kids attend this school. The tuition is also very reasonable compared to other schools.

We wanted him to take his next steps with learning and experience things beyond what we could offer him at home. He got exactly that and then some. His teachers did a fantastic job getting him through the Pre-K and TK curricula; we still have a lot of his old school work showing how much he had learned and how much practice he had gotten. He would frequently speak fondly of his last teacher, Ms. Jackie, as well as the friends he played with at school. There was a classmate he would refer to as "Melon" that we think was his best friend and we thought it was so cute. We'd like to give our thanks to all of his teachers - Ms. Jackie, Ms. Emily, Ms. Nikki, and Ms. Bella! He really enjoyed the variety of extra curricular activities offered at Newport Ave, like dance, music, soccer (his favorite), arts and crafts, and taekwondo (his other favorite). As parents, some of our favorite things include the winter holiday performances, the picture updates on Remind showing what everyone is up to throughout the day, and the final letters from all the teachers he had connected with over the years. Ms. Mayra was a pleasure to talk to when dropping him off in the morning, as were the other teachers when picking him up at the gate. Communication over the Remind app is super simple and responses tend to be very quick. Since starting kindergarten, Nate has become a top performer in his class, and we believe Newport Ave Preschool deserves a great deal of the credit for that. We're so grateful for everything this school gave him.
