I love this bar, bar owner,bartenders and dj. I go every Wednesday for steak night. The owner makes the steak to perfection. For $20 dollars it comes with a large steak, shrimp and a loaded bake potatoe. Drinks are cheap and even though the bar gets crowded, the lady bartender handles it like a boss. Her service is always still prompt, and she was as attentive every single time. Try this bar out, you wont be disappointed. read more

Would be a great bar but bartender inside on Sunday 12/2/ refused to put our Broncos game on inside or outside even though they have about 10 TV's. She just told us nope sorry can't put it on other people watching games although 4 TV's were open. Outside bartender was real nice and apologies but obviously they don't care about regulars that come there all the time. She didn't even try to look or help just shut us down on watching our team on one TV. Done going there. read more

I recently visited Bentley's Bar for a crawfish boil and had a great time. First, the venue itself is great. It's welcoming, laidback and has a family-friendly atmosphere. There are two roomy outdoor spaces. The outdoor area with the bar is covered which provides protection against the sun and wind. The bar is 360 with mounted televisions and provides seating for patrons in addition to a handful of small tables that surround it. My only concern is the immovable seating (swings/hanging seats) that make it difficult to find a vantage point for ordering. There's no designated area for patrons to walk up and order a drink. Instead, you have to awkwardly stand behind the swing seats or wedge yourself between patrons sitting at the barstools. At the time, I also believe there was only one bartender. She did a great job, but there were a lot of people that required her attention. Service was still prompt, and she was as attentive as she could be considering the large volume of people. The crawfish was delicious, and I'm glad to have found a spot for AYCE. read more

Limited drink choices and shady bar practice by night bartender. ****Warning*** long rambling post ahead do not attempt unless you have time to read everything. To start with they did not have any food choices at least on Tuesday nights. As for drinks I realize that a lot of bars do not want to make a complex mix drink at night when they are busy but this place was dead when I was there. Being reasonable I first asked if they had Michelada mix and the bartender said no. Ok, first bar I have been to in San Antonio that did not have Michelada mix but - ok. So then I said let me get a Bloody Mary. The guy gave me a weird look and said "I said we don't have the mix". Dude please tell me you know the difference between Michelada mix and Bloody Mary mix. I realize they both have tomato juice as a main ingredient but come on now you are a bartender! Anyways, then I said let me get a Black Velvet until I realized they did not have cider on tap and would be charging me for two separate drinks. So then I just settled for some cheap beer that they had a lot of. After drinking the beer I went to pay my tab and the guy states you need a minimum of $10 to use your card. Come on man it is 2018 who carries cash. I could pay you with bitcoin if you wanted an alternative to card but that was a laughable thought. He never said at the beginning I needed a minimum of $10 to use my card or I would have never of got my 4th choice beverage. No big deal I said ok let me get my friends drinks as well that way I would have over $10. He said nope already been adding her drinks throughout the night to her card. What really man you charged her card each time she ordered a drink or do you do like most places and close out the tab at the end placing the final charge then. To make the $10 minimum charge he offered to up-charge me for a water making it $5 so I would hit the $10. No thanks to getting ripped off so I asked for the strongest beverage I could get for the $5 and he gave me some old strawberry hot drink. I took it - laughed - paid my bill and started to walk off until he told me friend she only needed $5 for her to close out her tab. As you can tell from my long post I am not happy and will not be returning. You guys need to get your stuff together or you will be like the last place that hung their sign at that address and shutting down soon! read more

Bentley's Bar has the best drink prices on the Broadway strip and the most delicious food festivals. Also, all of the staff have great customer service. I wouldn't recommend anywhere else! read more

The music is good but can get a little too loud. The drinks are good; poetry on Thursday was good the one time I went. It can get crowded, depending on which day you go, which is mainly Saturday night, and that wasn't very pleasant. They do have issues with keeping the soap and paper towels stocked. They have a food truck that usually serves chicken wings, pork chops, and sometimes tacos and egg rolls and sides like green beans, mac & cheese, etc. Overall it is a good time and a nice place to go. read more

We stopped by on Christmas night and they were open! It was a happy surprise. Bentley's is still in their soft opening phase but was a nice surprise when we walked in. Their atmosphere had a man cave/cigar lounge feel with plush leather couches lining the walls, wooded panels on the wall,small high top tables in the middle, and moody lighting. Their ambiance is a much needed addition to the broadway strip. They also have a stage which is used for open mic nights on Monday starting at 9pm. We found out Mondays is happy hour all day which is 4$ crown,Jameson,Jack and Rums. Their was more specials but he had us with the first two. They have Sunday crawfish broil starting at 2pm that is all you can eat for 15$. We had excellent service,drink recommendations and conversation with their Monday night bartender Emilio. We will definitely be back to check out open mic night and other specials they have during the week. read more

I love the outside bar area with swings around it, it reminded me of Cozumel. The staff are nice, the owner is nice. The reason I couldn't give over 3 stars is because my mixed drinks tasted bad ONLY because they are using Off Brand Soda, that really really makes a difference in the taste. Don't recommend, Left hungry and sober after two hours waiting for our steak dinner and weak drinks. I wanted to see what this new bar was all about. We saw the advertisement about Wed. Steak night. Gave it a try. Worst idea ever!! We waited 2 hours for our steak dinner only to have them serve their regulars first. Not cool from a new customer stand point. I'm a bartender for years and I would never treat anyone they way they did. There was only 4 people at the bar at 7pm when we came and place our order. The two guys that sat next to us was upset too. Our drinks were only a three count pour for top shelf served in a tall glass. Weak drinks. My boyfriend ordered a beer it was served warm. They store they new kegs room temp. The power went out five times when we were there.. Jesse, the owner had to come and try to fix everything at that point we had enough. People that have been waiting as long as we did cancel and left too. We came with high hopes for date night and left very disappointed. Maybe they will get it together soon. I've lived in this city for 4 years now and spent most of my time on Broadway.. The owner of this place has impressed the community. If you want a good clean environment, great food when they do cookouts, this is the place to come to. I grew up outside of New Orleans and have had crawfish most of my life. I've also had crawfish several times this season but none better than this place. They are spiced like back home and came with all the sides (corn, sausage, potatoes). I've seen some of the other reviews where they talk about standing in line or getting small potions. Didn't have any issues so those problems have been corrected. All you can eat "anything" for $15 is a great deal even if things don't go so prefect. I'll be back. read more

Bartender was rude. We came here for a gathering sponsored by our apartment complex. We were given drink tickets and that we could pay the difference for any drink that wasn't domestic or well. When we asked the bartender inside he said that "wasn't possible" and that we could pick a domestic or well under $4. How would a new customer know what drinks are under $4? He ended his comment with the following snark, "you just have to choose." We were the only customer at the bar and he refused to answer questions about their drink options. Not returning. read more

Please Please don't go there if you're not from Texas. I'm originally from Europe and I had to meet a friend in San Antonio for a drink. My friend suggested that place because it was close to the airport and it's a black people bar so I taught that it would be pretty fun and diverse. Well, it wasn't. The two bouncers were white and super mean. They didn't want to let me in because I didn't have my belt on!!! (Never heard of this rule anywhere else before coming to this place) My pants were not falling. But what was really bad for me is that Suddenly a couple came out from the bar and I asked the guy if he had his belt on and he wasn't wearing one. That really pissed me off and when I asked to see the manger. One of the security guys pointed his gun on me. Apparently he didn't like my face. And asked me to leave. I have a video of the incident and I did publish it on my Facebook. It's a real shame to see people like that in 2022. I hope the management will do something. Because this is not OK!!!f read more
