The band !!
Rosalinda A.

I'd been wanting to make it here for .... years. Maybe I need to go out more?! Anyways, made it! It was late & I was hungry & wanted a drink ... & it was close, finally. Figured out where to order food & got a delicious Paloma ! BTW... they do have non-alcoholic beer! Husband was happy. Food was pretty quick & yummy, too. It was Friday night so plenty of people but no problem grabbing a table outside. Band was playing & summer night was awesome. I was happy. Definitely worth coming. I'll be back! Don't be me... go have a drink sooner than later! You can even bring the kids during the day to run around & play on the little playground!

This place is so fun and I'm obsessed w the cat that lives in the back. She's so sassy but really sweet. Not a fan of dogs tho, which I understand. Bartenders here are great too. Try the Mexican candy shot

Cucumber margarita

We finally had a chance to come and try this place out, with the kids. We are so thankful for spots with playgrounds. Especially when they have great drinks and eats. The kids had a great time on the playground and were entertained while we kicked back and relaxed. I had the cucumber margarita, frozen and on the rocks but favored on the rocks. It was nicely balanced and helped cool me off in this Texas heat! The hubs had the pear snap beer and fresh kicks hazy IPA. He was really looking forward to the Electric Jelly Fish but they were out. I just need to say, the fries here are so good. They were the stand out dish all around, and they're a side. My girls really enjoyed the chicken strips, they were tender, juicy and a good portion size. The cheesesteak was nothing extraordinary, kinda plain tasting but not terrible. I don't think it's really the thing to get here. Not pictured is the burger with just about everything except avocado. Lettuce, tomato, pickles, cheese and bacon. My husband devoured it and boasted about its deliciousness. We didn't get to partake in any live music but the stage setup is really nice and there is plenty of seating. If you're lucky you can snag a table with a fan! Everyone here is super friendly and service was pretty quick with drink and food orders.

Strawberry Margarita on the rocks and Frozen Prickly Pear Margarita

Daydrinking is always a great time when you can vibe out in a lowkey spot with great drinks, music you like and small snacks. We walked to Burlesons from Alamo Beer Co. and were excited to see that they have happy hour on Saturdays and ALL DAY SUNDAY. Who doesn't love happy hour? The margaritas seemed to be the star on Yelp and they indeed were in real life. My strawberry margarita on the rocks was great, I loved that the flavor wasn't overpowering and the lime still shined through. The prickly pear margarita was good too, first time trying this flavor. It was sweet and tart, well balanced and with it frozen it definitely tasted like a popsicles. Let's talk about these fried pickles. I probably could've ate two more baskets they were good af. I love a good bread and this was so flavorful and was hitting all the right spots. I don't know if the music playlist is the same all the time but they were on one yesterday. Chill spot to enjoy a margarita and maybe even play some cornhole, check 'em out.

Badass bands here!

Such a great place and lots of fun. Came here one Saturday night to support some local bands and it was badass! Wife and i got pretty toasted last night so you know we had fun. Its also great to see tons of children and infants at this bar. The true south San Antonio experience. Not all the service industry workers at this establishment are stuck up POS, so that's another plus for this place. They do have a kitchen however you must not be in a mixed race relationship here because if you are they will tell you that they have stopped serving food. While others will be eating all around you oh well just another true San Antonio experience. But the beer and Tequila are good so its got some more positives.

We found this place on Yelp and decided to check it out after a downtown show. We were pretty impressed with the food. It was very good and one of the best burgers I've had in a while. They do have a play area for the kids as well as a outdoor and indoor seating area. Everyone was super friendly, and the drinks were on point. Would definitely recommend and will return.

Happy hour
Vineet C.

This was a solid place to kill some time while visiting the city and avoiding some of the touristy places. It served as a nice break for me and my spouse while also letting the kids 5&3 run some of their energy off in the playground. Despite what Yelp might say the hours are, it was open well before 3pm. I think Friday opens at 12pm. They also had a happy hour from 12-7pm which we took advantage of for some Dos Equis and a frozen margarita.I did also have a craft beer which was ~$7.

BBQ Chicken Tender Basket and a Strawberry Margarita
Shelene L.

Two thumbs up today. Great food, great drinks and great music. What more can one ask for? Seriously, if you haven't been here, you must go soon. This local hangout offers a great vibe for a nice price. The frozen strawberry margarita was good and strong. And the barbecue chicken tender basket totally hit the spot. I highly recommend it. I will definitely order it again. The chicken tenders were fried hot and the fries were nice and crispy. Perfect.

Wonderfully spacious beer garden with live music and Guinness on tap. Accommodating bartenders who know how to correctly pour Guinness, a definite plus. The Japanese punk band is surprisingly melodic, they don't feel the need to scream every song like western punk band!

Someone in our group had heard this was the place, so we walked over and hoped for the best. As soon as we walked in, we were immediately impressed by the vibe. The space is very cool and feels like a beautifully repurposed old factory. It has a lot of character and energy without feeling overwhelming. Our group of eight easily found a great spot near the fireplace, with some of us on the sectional and others in chairs, and we were comfortable right away. Despite being very busy, the service was quite good. Drinks came out promptly and the staff was friendly and attentive. We stayed for a few rounds and really enjoyed ourselves. This place turned the night around completely. Great space, great drinks, and great service. I will definitely be back the next time I am in San Antonio, and would even consider staying at the hotel just to be close to this bar. 5 stars.

Service was quick and attentive, even when we switched it up on her and jumped from a table (where we had ordered) to a spot on the couch that had opened up. I wasn't feeling like drinking alcohol, so I ordered a mocktail called the Prohibition Punch and enjoyed it. It was very citrusy/sour, but was refreshing. I'd probably try something else on the menu next time, but still had a great experience overall!

Service is super quick here especially if you are trying to grab something quickly and continue your exploration around this area. The price point on the cocktails and beers here are super reasonably especially for the area. Happy Hour is daily too so don't sleep on going over here to grab a drink or a canned beer The colorful menus draw you in besides the charm of the nicest bartenders here. There is a drink for every drinker here that includes non-alcoholic (NA) drinks as well so don't be shy. If you see something on the menu that calls you get it. Your drinks will be carefully created right in front of you and with the freshest herbs (like lavender and dry fruits) and juices you can find on this side of 281. My friend and I ended up getting a couple of drinks off their seasonal menu. I got a lavender lemonade and she opted for an Aperol spritz cocktail that we took outside to enjoy the sunshine while daydreaming about living inside The Pearl. The amount of history in this building where the Park Bar is located is remarkable and fascinating. It was super cool to be drinking in such a historic building that used to be a bottling department that would bottle the beers back in the day.

It was also my friend's first time and since there were so many different yummy sounding dishes on the menu we decided to do the Norteno Menu - which essentially was where the chef selects multiple courses for you and the dinner essentially becomes a surprise of "What delicious thing comes next?" Our dinner ended up consisting of: Aguachile Verde, Guacamole, Roasted mole beets, the pollo served in a rojo sauce, and a sweet end with a Tres Leches cake. Every dish was unique and consisted of an explosion of flavors. The chicken was soooo good - especially when you paired it with one of the fresh and absolutely delicious tortillas they bring to the table. Such a great dining experience and ambiance. I'll be back!

I just found this review in my drafts from October 2025, and while I don't remember every course in detail to do it justice, I remember everything being so great. I remember that we were also really impressed by the frijoles rancheros with chorizo and chile ash! It was our favorite side. The service was excellent and we loved the dim lights and casual elegance. We will definitely return, hopefully soon!
