Mind you, it's a 2 second walk to our vehicle, she is a short haired dog that will take 2 minutes to dry off with towels and blow dryers, and we brought a jacket to bundle her up while walking in and out of the store. We called another location and asked if we were allowed to bring our dog for a wash and the worker sounded like it was the silliest question. He said of course you can wash your dog at wag and wash and has never heard of a customer being turned away for it being "too cold". This experience was extremely uncomfortable and awkward. Seems like she either was just so blatantly lazy or does not care about her job or customer interactions.

A friend recommended that I try the North Academy (Colorado Springs, CO) Pet Pantry, and I couldn't be happier. I can purchase a package of 6 washes for around $50. Hmmm.... $8 vs. $24.... let me think about that. Also, they have hydraulic bath tubs, so you don't have to strain your back loading Fido into the tub or getting him out. The driers work fine. The wash areas have separate rooms, so you don't have a problem with unnecessary dog-to-dog interactions. Staff are friendly, providing extra towels and grooming brushes. What's not to like? Highly recommend you save some bucks and upgrade your dog washing experience by visiting Pet Pantry!
