A food highlight of our trip to New England last month was the roast beef sandwiches from here. Our son said it is a must have food while in New England so I checked my Yelp app for a restaurant with good reviews close to where we were and found this gem!! Bentley's Roast Beef had sandwiches so ridiculously ginormous, I included a picture of my son holding one for reference. Luckily for us, they were also ridiculously delicious!! I got the regular roast beef sandwiches w/ tomato, pickles, onion & lettuce and a side of spicy fries.... Yummy! I sat out at their comfortable outside patio area which is very well done..almost like a park setting. I received my order in @ 15 minutes and the place was busy. We were looking for a place that we could celebrate my BF's 60th and also bring our dog with us. She is my ESA but she also suffers from severe separation anxiety and we don't leave her alone in case she bothers the neighbors with her crying. My BF is always game for seafood and Bentley's had good reviews regarding everything on their menu, not just Roast Beef. We both decided on the Bentley's steak sub and their fresh squeezed Lemonade, plus an order of onion rings to split. The subs were HUGE and very tasty!! Neither on of us could eat more than a half of our sub and we weren't able to finish the onion rings either. The Lemonade was better than I expected. Not too sweet and it was very refreshing. The onion rings were not the kind of batter I usually prefer, but they were cooked perfectly and the batter wasn't overpowering, and I had no problem gobbling as many up as I could fit. I can't say anything about the service because my BF went in to order while I stayed outside with Rosie. He came out with a disc that flashes when your order is up and it wasn't a long wait, especially since we were enjoying the nice picnic area and fountain. We had brought the dog's food and water and I'm not sure if anyone even knew she was there. BringFido.com says it's "dog friendly", which is why we chose them. We were happy that there was a place that allowed my "best friend" to join us in their outdoor seating area, though they do also have indoor seating. It took the worry out of having to hurry home to make sure she wasn't annoying anyone, or us eating in the car with her bouncing around wanting our food. They also have a lovely rock/waterfall fountain, as well as a firepit; though the firepit didn't appear to be in use, as it had water inside of it. I was kind of worried that maybe they stopped allowing dogs because there was a sign that said "No dog walking allowed". I'm sure this is to discourage those who would allow their dogs to use the place as a bathroom and gross out other diners, but we kept a close watch and were prepared to vacate the area should the need arise. But nobody said a word to us either way, and as we were almost done our meal, another couple came in with their Boston Terrier in a stroller. I spoke with them and found out that their dog was elderly (as is ours) and it had mobility issue, which made the stroller necessary. The food was excellent, though I felt the prices were a bit high. Came for a mother's day, casual early dinner. We ordered the lobster roll, and buffalo shrimp dinner. The lobster roll was FULL of whole claw meat with celery, and light mayonnaise. I was SO FULL, without eating the buttered brioche roll. Best price and huge size. The pictures don't do it justice. I came in today after taking a couple years off due to a haddock dinner I received that wasn't fresh. It smelled and looked like it went bad. I called and they said I had a written credit because I paid cash. I go in today, just to ask if I still had this credit. I was polite and patient. Instead of dealing with this situation in a calm and professional manner the man, whom I assume is the boss (wearing a head set and managing) tells me (irately) to step aside because he has other customers to deal with. So I step aside and wait patiently. He was then staring at me and I asked him if they were able to look. This man then screams at me and told me I was a liar. I explained the entire situation to him and told him, two years ago I was a struggling single mother, with a hungry and cranky child and I decided to stop at their establishment to get something to eat before I went home. After explaining this to him he replied, yelling at me "go tell the government your story" This was a situation that could've been handled calmly and appropriately, but instead I was yelled at, called a liar, told to go to the government, and yelled at to get out. All while there were families with children and elderly couples within the establishment. His employees looked miserable, as if they too deal with his clear anger issue. This man couldn't handle the truth, and being spoken back to by me. So he decided to yell and demean me in front of everyone. Not once did I demean him or call him any names. I was willing to pay for my meal had they not been able to find my credit they had given to me. He didn't even look, yet told me he couldn't find it. I left the establishment, wanting to cry but I'm happy I advocated for my self to man who clearly has anger issues and no respect for woman or woman like me. read more

First time here even though I've lived in southern nh forever and drive by this place all the time! We stopped in for a quick dinner and were the only ones in line. Took maybe 15 mins to get our order but everything is made fresh. The chicken gyro was delish with tons of chicken and taziki sauce, even the bread it was in was so soft and they grilled it. I want to leave a review because I am in Nashua pretty regularly for work, I yelp places to eat all the time, I have never noticed Bentley's come up as a suggestion and it is delicious. I only decided to stop there as I was driving by because I thought that looks like the kind of quick dinner I am after. I got a JR roast beef sandwich and a fried scallop plate. Everything was simple but excellent. The roast beef was rare and thin, the scallops were very lightly fried, the fries and slaw were not an afterthought. One day, I will try something else. One day! Like many other patrons, I tried this great eating place on a whim. I was ill one day and I ordered the "Egg Lemon Soup". Oh my!!!! Creamy, hot, lemony. So rich and so good. I do not think that they make it there? I think??? that Bentley's has Fed Ex Cargo Planes, loaded with soup vats. The Fed Ex Cargo planes fly all night and day, back and forth, to and from Greece!! The Egg Lemon, is very similar in flavor and style to a soup I used to buy from a Greek man, who owned a small place in Arlington, Mass. He used to make the soup for me, when I needed it. My wife and I stopped there on Saturday and had a quick lunch. She got the roast beef sandwich which is always her favorite and I tried the lobster roll. I was a little skeptical at first but one look at the sandwich they gave me helped me to realize this was a top shelf lobster roll. It was full of meat and it was fresh.
