Came for a quick bite to eat before seeing a show with friends. Was concerned because they shared that the wait would be 30 min for food to be ready. However, I believe they were being cautious as food was ready in 15 minutes. MGM was super busy, so I was okay with the 15 min. If any longer, I would be surprised if they weren't prepared for the rush. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and shrimp tempura roll. Both were delicious and hit the spot. However, I did spend $22 for both rolls. The price is definitely shocking, however, given the location/venue, I knew what I was getting myself into, and it was still more affordable than many of the sit down restaurants. The staff was all very friendly, and the sushi chefs were even stepping in to help the cashier/other employees. It seemed like they were all happy to work as a team and get through the chaos (did I mention the food court was packed?).......everyone was smiling, etc. Would I go back? My mom and I were craving sushi big time. We sat down at the bar to find out the menu only had 3 kinds of hand rolls for over $8 each, 3 kinds of sushi burritos for over $15, some nigiri options and 2 kinds of fish bowls. My mom ordered a bowl that had 3 kinds of fish, 2 super thin small pieces each on too much rice. I had the shrimp tempura sushi burrito because it was the only one that had spicy tuna in it, and I was really craving it. The sushi burritos are TINY and over $15. Places like Sushirrito in San Francisco and Buredo in DC have ruined me. This sushi burrito was the absolute worst. Fish to rice ratio was awful. It was all rice. We also ordered green tea which was $4 each even though it was one personal size pot and it was COLD. Our meal was over $50 and the food wasn't that great. The fish quality wasn't amazing. And the portions were uncalled for. TOTAL RIP OFF. Service was good and quick for the most part. I don't suggest coming here if you absolutely love sushi. You will be DISAPPOINTED. Stopped by Bento on Friday night after the Nats game with the family. We ordered $100 worth of sushi and was told the wait was 45 minutes. We waited over an hour before checking on our order because we saw people that came after us getting their meals. We were told we had to prove we ordered with our receipt and when we showed the girl working the register she took the receipt and said nothing to us. She went over to the sushi chef who told her he was skipping our order and there were 3 orders ahead of ours. At this point our children were exhausted and ready to go! The girl came back and never once offered an apology or to rush the order instead she went to the back to get the manager and told her to refund our order. When the manager came out she was so unprofessional! She didn't offer an apology or even speak to us about the order instead all she said was "the money will go back to your card" and walked away! Terrible service. No one acknowledged us or offered to take our order, I had to ask someone and was told I could not take it to-go and must eat-in, I never said I wanted to-go. Later on a person asked me if I was eating in or to go AGAIN, I said eating in. Then he asked if the napkin I was holding was theirs, I said yes. Disturbed by his strange question and service so far I asked him if everything was alright and he said yes as if I was the weird one. After we received our burrito sushi roll I asked if it could be slice a few more times since I had little ones with me and wanted it to be easier for them to eat. The lady refused, stating they only slice it once. In disbelief my sister-in-law ask someone else and they did slice it for us. They didnt provide water nor asked if we wanted something to drink. At the end of the meal I asked for water and was given only ONE 8oz bottle of water. Our party consisted of 4 adults and 3 kids. How did they expect me to share 8oz of water between 7 people?!?!?! Bento Restaurant which serves sushi at MGM should be shut down. First, the ladies making the sushi are singing to the background music at the top of their lungs. Second, the salmon sushi was so old I probably would have gotten severe food poisoning if I ate it. Third, I paid with cash and comps, the lady overcharged me by about $10 and told me not to worry about the change. She didn't give me a receipt. So let's summarize. They are stealing money from the customers, serving sushi that is old and will make you sick, and to top it off singing so loudly and it is extremely annoying to the customers. I don't know who allowed these 3 lady to run a restaurant here but I am warning everyone reading this to never go to Bento...ever! read more

Lost three stars due to me asking for a specific employee, Imani, as she comes HIGHLY recommended to prepare your meal, and was given a VERY rude NO, WITH an attitude from the older lady standing at the register! Then, she slides over to whisper to the other employee while I was still standing there. I was still going to purchase what I wanted although Imani wasn't available, but the rudeness of the lady is what turned me away. The worst part about it was the fact that she is obviously an "older" lady but to have such disrespect to a customer is what really turned me off. Even though we were sitting right at the sushi bar, it took 20 mins and repeated requests just to get a menu and pencil. $4 for a small bottle of Diet Coke, no glass or ice offered. My boyfriend and I went here for dinner and had a fantastic time! We told the chef to make whatever he likes. Steven created some of the best sushi we have ever had! Not only did it look like a piece of art, it tasted great too! Along with that he provided great conversation and kept us laughing. We come to the MGM often but have never eaten here, he highly recommended becoming a member of the M life. All of the staff were engaging and attentive to us along with everyone else sitting there that night. All of the staff worked together to ensure all of the customers were taken care of. We got our drinks within a minute or two of sitting down and shortly after telling Steven to create some of his favorite sushi roles, ours was ready to go. Tried to eat lunch here today around 1:30pm. Sat down the counter was very sticky and wet. Asked the chef behind the bar for some napkins. Nothing, zero. Staff member walked past us totally saw us again nothing! There aren't many seats. There were at least two people behind the bar and another working as a server, who was clearly not interested in working. Bar seats were not filled when we sat down, so it's not like it was crowded. When the MGM first opened up and I spotted a sushi bar I was thrilled to know there was one down the street. When I told my friends they were already regulars and was planning to accompany my first sushi bar experience. When I got there I believed it to be around 6-ish It was a little slow, but most stores are in the area due to the heavy traffic that occurs in this time.The chef was able to clearly explain and describe what the menu items are. Since I was also paying for a friend we all choose the spicy tuna. The prices were very reasonable, considering where they are located. The sushi was prepared quickly and delicious, (will come back to this review to post a picture of the meal I had that night). It was still somewhat slow but 1 or 2 more people ate here before we left. I'm not a sushi expert and i'm pretty sure no one who gave 3 star reviews is either, but had fun, enjoying my meal and conversing with the chef if he wasn't cleaning or preparing sushi. I will be back this friday with another friend to try either the shrimp tempura or crab burrito. Love this place will be a regular. read more
