Spider roll, and the Okinawan Orion beer.

Food excellent. Service is good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is casual.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This is a good weeknight spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As another reviewer mentioned, if you sit upstairs your clothes will smell a little smoky, and it must be from the tempura dishes.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This why I would not recommend it for date night or as a dinner option before going to your next evening event. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You won't noticed the smell while you hear, but shortly after you get into your car you'll start to notice[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. This makes me just want to get home, and immediately put clothes in washer and take a shower. They offer takeout, and that would be a solid option even if you're going to picnic nearby. This is a great locals type of place, and a few blocks away from King St. Dinning time limited to 1 hour, but that's probably enough time and as long as you're eating/ordering they probably don't mind.

Great food, friendly service and people, [[HIGHLIGHT]]nice ambiance but a bit small[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Worth checking out!

I love everything about Momo Sushi. They have an extensive menu with so many options for every palette. We particularly loved the sushi special offerings - standouts were the Dragon Roll and the Yami Yami roll. The service is also very quick and attentive. We also decided to do our own little beer tasting and the server happily accommodated our request for extra glasses. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is such a nice and cozy little date night spot or fun dinner spot before going out with friends![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I decided to try this spot for my birthday dinner last minute with my brother and was not disappointed! [[HIGHLIGHT]]When you come inside it's rather small( a REAL hole in the wall spot), but well lit and super clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We dined upstairs and enjoyed watching them prepare the food at the counter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]So packed on a weekend, so we were lucky to get to be seated after coming from DC.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Old town Alexandria has sushi but nothing like this place, they had outstanding service and fresh food. We both got a Japanese beer, miso soup to start and ordered quite a few rolls to share. Everything was great, came out within 15 minutes of ordering and our server was fantastic. We will be back next time we are in the area to try their lunch specials.

Momo was great! We street parked about 2 blocks away and walked in on a busy weeknight and were able to get seated immediately (lucky.) [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is small, and the restroom is upstairs, so be prepared to climb one flight of stairs (kind of narrow and steep) to use the restroom.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was clean and the server was nice and the food came out fast![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was very cute inside and I'd definitely come back when I'm in town.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

First time here and I would deffinitely come back here again. The service was nice and quick and staff were super helpful and sweet. Cute ambiance and decorated and super small place but all old town alexandria store are no different so I'm not surprise. There are two level and group with more than 3 I think are sent upstairs for bigger seating area. There is an a la carte menu which makes it easy to order. Each sashimi can come in 2 pcs and are cut THICK and sushi here is fresh which are two qualities in sashimi that most people look for. Each roll comes in 6 pcs. We order shrimp tempura, 2 pcs of sashimi, spider roll, salmon roll, california rolls... all were delicious and perfect in size. Price were not expensive as well. If you are in Old town, would recommend you to try this place.

High quality fish, really friendly staff. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great little spot to dine in or take out![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Love that the location is away from the business of king street but still conveniently in old town.

This can't be the same sushi folks wrote five-star reviews for... because I'm not impressed. Maybe it's because I've eaten a lot of sushi in Cali? I'm not sure, but what I do know is that, for $57, I am absolutely not satisfied, and I'm about to offer this food up to anybody desperate for sushi. I'm not going to say this is the worst sushi I've ever had, but it's terrible, especially given the price point. I've never eaten rubbery fish on the top of my rolls, I have now. I ordered online for ASAP. I got to the restaurant and my order wasn't ready. It's fine. The order confirmation came through after I arrived to the restaurant 20 minutes after I placed my order. Oh well. I ordered the White House roll, seaweed salad, roll, and trio amigo roll. I also ordered Gyoza. The only thing that I would consider truly edible is the Geza. These roles have got to go. Slimy fish, small size, and general lack of flavor, I can't. Let me keep it a buck with you. I honestly could have satisfied my sushi craving more with a roll from one of those hibachi places that are popping up all over the place.

I will definitely be back. We ordered 3 roles, miso soup, and tea. Service was good too. Best sushi Ive had in Alexandria.

A friend recommended this spot and a coworker also mentioned this is her go-to sushi joint so I had to check it out--and it did not disappoint! I got the chirashi and everything was so fresh. Also love that they give pretty sizable pieces of fish. Very glad to have found a great sushi spot nearby my new neighborhood. Pretty sure this will be where I get my sushi from now!!

I'm a late-comer to Momo, but now I'm a believer. The place is tiny; even with a small upstairs dining area it's still tiny. But that wasn't a negative here. I came for a weekday lunch so it was busy-ish but not too bad. I perused the options and went with the Kan Sai Roll (ell, salmon skin, avocado, crab, cucumber) plus a side dish. Presentation of the sushi was on point, and I loved the crunchy-ness as much as the taste. Next time - Negiri!

A fantastic sandwich location. I love a good sandwich!…read more I was able to place an order for pick up just before I got on the train to head back. Brilliant! I will definitely for this again on my next trip. I ordered a BLT on multigrain, and a PBJ w/honey drizzle on sourdough. The PBJ is off the kids menu. I'll ask for extra peanut butter and jelly so it's to my liking. I couldn't tell if there was honey on it, it could have been. The BLT was fantastic. I loved that it was not oiled high with all the ingredients. A simple sandwich. It fit the bill and didn't over fill me. A true classic. The multi grain bread was the best! I need to find out where that is from. It was that good. I hope I'm able to try the tuna fish and the egg salad sandwiches sometime they look delish! The staff were quiet, but got the job done. There is a small bar like area to eat in, and outdoor tables in a covered area to enjoy your sandwich.

Great little sandwich shop!…read more It's very popular at noontime. I took a break from my 4 hour long painting class upstairs in the Torpedo Factory to snag a bite. My timing was good, because I arrived right before a work group of maybe 10 people or so came into place their orders. In addition to a substantive sandwich menu, which includes both hot and cold sandwiches, there's plenty of beverage (including wine) and snack selections. Wearing an oil paint-smudged apron (FYI: the reality is that you're still going to get paint on your clothes even wearing an apron), I aptly ordered the Torpedo Artist. The Torpedo Artist is a hot Panini-like sandwich. You can select your type of meat, cheese and toppings. By default it includes lettuce, sweet peppers and deli oil. My sandwich was well-crafted with plenty of turkey and Swiss cheese. However, I didn't especially like this sandwich. I wish I had asked them to hold the deli oil because it was overly pungent with oregano. All I could taste in my sandwich was oregano. But older and wiser now, I know in the future that if I have them hold the deli oil, I'll end up with a great and tasty sandwich.

I've eaten at plenty of delis over the years, but Eddie's Little Shop completely surprised me with flavors I've genuinely never tasted before. The sandwiches here are incredibly unique, creative combinations that just explode with flavor in ways I wasn't expecting. What really stood out were the huge, fresh chunks of real mozzarella, paired with their homemade-style dressings, sauces, and condiments. It's easily one of the best sandwiches I've ever had, and I've tried a lot. The portions are generous, the bread is spot-on. I'll definitely be back before my trip ends. I have to carry this back with me to the Metro. Twice along the way, I have to stop and catch my breath. I get home, my kitchen counter sags a bit where I put the bag down. Cripes, Eddie's. And the sandwich itself? 2 meals, easily. Thick thick piles of meat and a shovel-full of mozzarella. Very chewy bread. I work up a sweat just eating this, there's so much labor involved. I ordered online from the Metro, around the DCA stop, and got a notification it was ready before I got to the King Street stop. Fast turnaround. Service was excellent our waiter was very attentive and our food items came out in an expedited manner. Their menu features apps like cast iron meatballs, garlic knots, and eggplant parm, several different salad options, 6 different sub options, and of course a plethora of red and white sauce pizza options (by the slice or whole pies) with plenty of add-ons regarding toppings and glazes. The wine menu is also pretty expansive with some very nice selections. I ended up ordering the chicken caesar sub ($18) and the vanilla bean brûlée cheesecake ($9). The chicken sub was delicious the flavor of the bread and the Caesar dressing that came with it were the highlights, fresh toppings, my only complaint would have been a bit more chicken added to the sandwich.
