I love this place. It's exactly what I was looking for. They have everything on their menu! I said to my husband, "I want to find a place where I can order from the counter" (euphemism for "I'm picky and I want what I want") and we stumbled upon this place on our walk to the 9/11 Museum. I made my own chicken panini and the guy was so patient as I figured out what I wanted on it. My husband got a turkey sandwich, not pictured. We sat at the end of a shared table and it gets pretty loud in there but we weren't looking for ambiance! read more

The best chicken parm you ever will have is here!! I don't know what they do to the chicken, but it is AMAZING and so tender. Great ratio of chicken sauce and cheese + soft bread. The french fries are also sooo yummy. I ate here with my boyfriend and he had accidentally spilled most of his fries on the floor, and the staff so generously gave him new ones (thank you again!!!) They have cute picnic tables outside you can sit at too and the street is quiet, so it's actually a nice atmosphere. I've heard the chicken caesar wrap is also incredible. I saw some chicken fajitas go by, which smelled and looked delicious. At first glance, the deli counter might have you think this is just a deli, but I can assure you it is so much more than that. Food service was very poor, staff working could not tell me the buttered croissant I ordered was done; had me wait 15 minutes just because the women worker didn't think to get my attention as I was staring right at her the entire time waiting for the cromiss at an she still never even considered to tell me it was done. just ridiculou while every other customer got their meal yelled out loud an handed to them. but the Mexican worker felt she didn't have to do that. just funny. read more

Today 1/21/25 I order bacon, egg, cheese on a roll with a $20.00 bill and the new girl they got give me back change as if I gave a $10.00 bill. Unfortunately, this is not the first time she screwed up the order but now the second time. So I said to the new girl cancel the order and just give and give me back which should of been the $20 but I will settle for the $10 dollar bill and never return. The owner of the place said I have cameras the prove you wrong and said please review the cameras. He did NOT do that instead I took photo of me and Threatened to call the cops. I responded "PLEASE DO CALL THE COPS". while this conversation was taking place a women who was watching all this stated " YES I DID SEE YOU GIVE THE HER THE $20 DOLLOR BILL". I placed an order for a chicken Caesar salad wrap. Expecting a chicken Caesar salad wrap but that's not what I received. Of course I didn't think I needed to read the description because the name explains what it is. I took one bite and was not happy with my order since it was not a chicken Caesar salad, so I brought it back and they told me I'd receive a refund its been almost a month I still have not received my money back. If you order here please be sure to read the description because the name might be false advertising. A chicken Caesar salad is chicken, romaine lettuce, Parmesan cheese, and of course Caesar dressing. Never ordering here again. read more

I ordered a Philly cheesesteak sandwich on a hero with sweet potato fries. They used to have the best SPF ever. When I saw the fries I couldn't believe my eyes not only did I get a smaller amount but they were skinnier than my shoe string. I needed a microscope to find them . The Philly cheese steak sandwich on a hero well the bread shrunk so small it was slightly bigger than a frankfurter roll. Will I order this again hell no!! In fact I will think twice before I order anything from there any more. The order went up in price which I understand but it almost looked miniature like. Beware--lousy hygiene and bad customer service. Every salad I order ends up containing the ingredients of previous salads. I have never ordered olives nor shredded yellow cheese, yet my salad contained small amounts of both because something wasn't being cleaned. Disgusting. Additionally, I order from this place a lot--six times in seven days. I have ordered from this restaurant three times in two days to get a particular salad because they were the only salad place near me that would put berries in a salad. However, I just received a call saying they only put fruit in their non-customizable $5 fruit salad cup and would not add fruit to my salad anymore. If price were an issue they could have said they would need to charge me more, but no, they just won't make the salad. The salad did not have $5 worth of fruit--it was 2 strawberries cut into 6 little pieces each and a few blueberries. (An entire container of strawberries from the grocery store costs $6). Now I don't normally go to a three star place but it was late and I was hungry as hell. I got the pesto chicken panini and the chicken was juicy and the the crunch from it being pressed was perfect. The cheese and pesto perfectly combined. Definitely will be going back. read more

Great corner cafe for a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich or oatmeal or freshly cut fruit and melon. They make excellent omelettes and pancakes too. It's the kind of place where you can always get a fast and well-prepared meal. Lots of tables and high window stools to sit and read or work with a cup of coffee. Stopped in for a quick lunch on a cold weekend day. I knew soup was being ordered, but anything else was to be determined. Benvenuto Cafe is a charming little cafe/restaurant. I felt like I walked into some European cafe when I entered. The set up was odd to me. They have a large menu board so I looked around. The manage (maybe owner) kept going back and forth with us in regards to where to order. We were told to order with the guy making sandwiches but then the guy telling us this asked for our order as well. Why tell so many people? And then when we ordered he seemed annoyed that we didn't tell the guy cooking what we wanted. Don't they have order slips they can use instead of relying on customers to do this? Odd, but ok... I ordered the chicken noodle soup. I like that the noodles were placed in the bowl and then the soup. Tasted great and wasn't too salty. I then tried the pesto chicken which was pretty good as well. With a drink my lunch was over $20. Gotta love New York, right? We were told our food would be brought to us then they kept yelling our order number out and staring at us like, "when the heck are you going to get this because I'm not delivering it". Customer service is somewhat lost here I think. Overall things were good. Nothing stellar or anything I would repeat. If I were in the area would I stop in again, maybe? Nothing left me wanting more no matter how fresh those noodles were. read more

The perfect spot. Running a local business in Tribeca, I value the customer service I receive at Benvenuto and can tell the whole staff works hard to make sure the food is always fresh and exceeds expectation. Antonio, the manager, is always so friendly and is sure that very customer that comes in the door is served in a timely manner and up to the high standards they hold. He remembers all of his customers and welcomes them with the friendly neighborhood charm you are looking for when you come in to order. I'm a dog walker and I work in the Tribeca area , I walk through this neighborhood everyday and I've been wanting to go inside for a while, I had read reviews on yelp and it really made me want to go in more. Last week Thursday on March 10th I came in with my boyfriend after I was done walking dogs and the staff were super friendly, we were greeted by everyone working behind the counter! We didn't know what to order , it was a huge menu and me being the semi blind person I am couldn't see the small letters on the boards lol. Luckily they have a QR code with the online menu for you to check out ! We ordered the cheese burger with Mozzarella cheese and it came with a side of fries for $11.95. The burger looked and smelled delicious, I wanted to bite right into it but I had to build it myself, they had the lettuce and tomato separate. The burger meat was so juicy it melted in your mouth and it was just super tasty. I would say tho , the meat was very tender and juicy but it lacked a bit of seasoning , without the cheese I think I wouldn't have eaten it. The side order of fries , where should I start , they were super fresh and the crunch was outstanding, I loved everything about the fries !! I will definitely be coming back again but might order something different, I've already made a list based on other peoples reviews. read more

Food tasted fine, what of it they included. Ordered a bagel with egg whites and bacon (+ extra bacon) I don't mind paying for extra, happy to do it. I got the sandwich, checked to make sure it had extra bacon - it had 2 total pieces of bacon. Cool. I was like, ok - maybe he forgot. I tell the guy - "this doesn't have extra bacon" he takes it to the back and proceeds to have the cook "add more bacon" which was 1 more piece. I check it again, but of course don't want to take apart the entire sandwich while standing there. (I can't actually fathom how much actual bacon they put when they charge you normally (half a piece maybe?) This was underwhelming on the most disappointing of levels. At this point what do I say? I NEVER buy food around here, because I find it all SO incredibly overpriced, but today I went against my normal habits for a craving. Nothing more disappointing when you choose the one place for that one off treat, and they not only disappoint, but they give it back to you still wrong. I basically just paid 9+$ plus tax for a bagel and 3 total pieces of bacon. If you charge per piece - let me know - happy to pay it. But don't sell me a bagel for 10.00$. I know it's Tribeca but it's insulting. I truly don't mind paying to get what I want - but that didn't actually even seem like an option. If you are looking for a place that doesn't count bacon per piece, maybe try the bodega down the street. read more

I have been to this restaurant 3 times a week since they opened, and before that for about 4 years to the Flat Iron location. I have never had a problem and find the salads awesome and very different-- like fresh tuna and salmon for ingredients. (And if you are into fresh juice or wheat grass, here it is!) However, having lived in NYC for 15 years, and been to 100's of top notch restaurants, I have to say I have seen "insects" at places as high scale as NOBU. Yes, $100 for my meal yes, there on the wall...so, perhaps if indeed there was a bug, I am sure it was a one time occurrence --and I bet he didn't eat much. Benvenuto rocks. read more

MESSAGE TO THE OWNER OF BENVENUTO - GET RID OF YOUR MANAGER ASAP! this place is otherwise great in my opinion. the employees are kind and helpful... except for your creepy manager. he used to be at peace & love cafe and i stopped going there because of him. he is really inappropriate. you walk in hoping he's not there and then he comes out of the woodwork to hit on you. the socializing is highly unwelcome and he NEVER gets a hint. he really ruins the environment it seems as well with the employees. they seem miserable. just a note from a current/soon-to-vanish customer. read more

A-OK. This is a pretty good place. The open face turkey for dinner is good size, good value for the price. The salmon dinner is pretty good to if you're looking for quick tasty affordable fish that you don't have to go to a sit down restroom for. Occasionally the produce isn't as good as it could be. For example, sometimes when ordering a salad the avocados can be brown/bruised/over ripened. Delivery is always pretty good, arrives within 45 minutes every time i have ordered. There was only one time the incorrect thing was delivered and they fixed it promptly. read more

Really good salads here, this is my go to lunch spot. The owner is really nice, one time i accidentally ordered the wrong panini and once the guy made it I realized it was wrong, I was visibly upset but didn't want to make a fuss because It was my mistake, the owner saw what happened and told the guy to just make me a new one.
