I've never written a complaint about an individual before, but today I had a really poor interaction with the barista girl with arm tattoos. There was a large order of seven drinks ahead of me, which she mentioned. No problem. After ordering one latte, I asked if she could restock the water cups so I could have some water while I waited. With a frown and attitude, she said she'd grab them after finishing the order she was on. I waited about 5 minutes, then came back when the very last customer in line was paying and I asked again. With even more attitude, she told me again she would after finishing the order, then grabbed some cups and stacked them in front of me without a word. No friendliness or apology. 15 minutes later, I noticed the other barista had finished all the drinks in the queue and was doing something else, but I still didn't have mine. When we asked her, we found out the barista with tattoos never wrote my latte into the queue! The other barista was super nice, apologized on their behalf, and made my drink right away. I see other reviews mention rude service here recently, and unfortunately I had the same experience. My family and I come here often, but I hope management takes steps to improve the customer experience. I feel hestitant to return if the barista with tattoos is working.

Had the amazing matcha latte lavender flavor. Was my first time so didn't have any taste/ flavor benchmark but it was good. The chocolate croissant was average. The space was cozy and service quick. They don't have plastic serveware and their fork still had food stuck on it. I pointed out and the server exchanged it. But I shouldn't be served dirty fork! Otherwise its a good brunch cafe

Service was kind and they have a good GF menu. They did run out of GF muffins when I got there which was disappointing but I'll be back to try it out. The place wasn't too crowded on a weekday afternoon so I was able to get some work done. I tried their latte with cardamom syrup (all their syrups are house made). I also for their Medina Panini with GF bread. They did warn me about cross contamination, which I didn't mind. The sandwich tasted divine. I love a warm turkey sandwich and it was delivered.

Bequest Coffee has a modern, bright interior that feels welcoming the moment you walk in. The staff were friendly and easy to talk to, which added to the overall experience. The cappuccino came out smooth and well-balanced. A solid 7/10 and a good choice if you're in the area.

Nice little cozy cafe with friendly staff in the Mill Creek area. We visited on a weekday afternoon. While the place was busy, there were tables available. We ordered a Cortado and Hot Chocolate. Both of them were very good and we thoroughly enjoyed our drinks. We will definitely visit again.

Got a coupon for a 12 oz drink and got tiny 8 oz. Counter person took advantage of the teens that used the coupon. Not coming back.

I was trying to find a local spot with some good pastries and chai reviews. This place came up and I'm glad I got the opportunity to check it out. Walked in and was quickly greeted by the staff. Their display case had some yummy looking pastries but opted for their avocado toast. The weather was pleasant for a Fall day and we sat outside. It's a cool atmosphere outside. You grab your drink order at the bar and if you have any food, the staff will take it out to you. The chai was really good, I would definitely come back for another. The avocado toast tasted good but it wasn't a deal maker for me. Overall, great spot I'd try again and recommend!

I needed a quick bite with a nice caffeine boost. This place is popular location and easy to find. Togo options are available. Wait time is 10 to 15 mins. I would like to try more items from the menu. It can be a bit loud, not great acoustics if there's your thing.

Had a lovely time here! Met a friend for coffee and it was the perfect place to meet. It's quiet, cozy, great ambiance, and lots of seating. I went in the morning and it was busy but there was no line, which tells me that they are well organized! I got a decaf pumpkin latte and it was absolutely incredible. Just the right amount of sweetness and I loved the big mug I was able to enjoy it in at my table. They had a few gluten free pastries and I look forward to trying them another time. Definitely a great coffee shop with amazing seasonal drinks!

Better late than never. Found this place about a year ago. Came during showing homes, tried their Açaí bowl and latte. Small but cozy inside. Parking outside ( more in the back) Coffee was a ok the first time. But been coming back several times since. It's convenient meting my clients that live in the area. It does get busy. But you can find a place to sit usually. Unless it gets so busy, I go across to visible coffee but lattes are much better here.

It's a great local spot that offers more than just coffee. Decent happy hour offering and selection of wine and beer, and small bites. It's nice to have a locally-owned spot to choose from. Be aware that it is not fast, so while tasty, if you're going for just a quick cup of coffee, they don't have a huge staff so it'll take several minutes. Also if you just want to get a coffee and nothing else, there's a fee for using a credit card if it's less than $5. I'm very anti-fee so I won't be going back for just coffee. It cost me just under $4.50 for a "large" coffee. They also no longer take Passport cards, so no breaks or anything off the prices. read more

I forgot to take pics because everything was so good, I just dove in. I had a single shot espresso and my friend had a flat white. We shared a pineapple coconut pastry. He paid but I think the total came to $12ish without tip. The staff were friendly and educational. The guy wanted to make sure I knew I was ordering a shot of espresso and not something I would get from Starbucks. The coffee was mellow and smooth. I should have ordered a double shot. The place is a little dark but it's comforting. So glad to have them in my community. read more

Had breakfast here this morning. Wanted something other than Starbucks premade presealed plastic packages heated up in a microwave. Looked on Yelp to find something different. So glad we tried Bequest. Extremely nice person at cash register and also nice barista. They make pastries in house and they were delicious. My husband ordered a breakfast sandwich which he loved that had prosciutto fontina cheese eggs and tomato. Breakfast sandwiches made to order as well. He loved it. Latte and chai were also very good. They got busy on a Saturday morning but heard them speaking to other customers in a very friendly way. Great customer service! We'll return!! read more

Finally made it in for a visit! Ordered a blueberry scone, oat milk mocha, and a snickers mocha. Loved the setting and everything is delicious! Smooth coffee with just the right amount of sweetness. Warmed up my blueberry scone and it was fresh heaven. Perfect place to hang out and I can't wait to come back. The owner took our order this morning and I really liked her a lot. This is thee best coffee shop you'll ever encounter on the northeast side of Seattle, located in the heart of Mill Creek. As soon as you walk in, a warm, inviting feeling envelopes you that is cherried off by a big heart-felt smile from all those who greet you. They're family-owned, so I believe that's what makes them a stand-out from all the rest. These guys truly go out of their way to make your experience not only special, but memorable, so you're immediately wanting to return. Every item that comes out of the kitchen is not only quickly served to your table, but top notch wonderful! Thank you Andi, Vini, Eliane, Vaz and crew, my hat is off to all of you! Another favorite aspect of it is a welcome opportunity to sit outside under cover (rain or social distancing during Covid-19), and heaters are available around several tables. Who could ask for more? Breakfast, lunch or dinner - it's a perfect way to put a little sparkle in your day. They're following all COVID restrictions, so be prepared with mask coverage (although they do sell them @.50c a pop), with no more than a 90 minute stay. All that said, it will be the best 90 minutes you ever set aside for yourself as they also offer free wifi. Thanks guys for making your venue like a home away from home. Came in again as I was tempted by their Instagram post of a small-batch of New York style cheesecake. I have visited multiple times at different times of the day (twice on separate weekends during the lunch hour and late-afternoon as well as weekdays). Food and drink are consistent regardless of day or time, I'm a fan of that. My favorite food options are their new cheesecake slice, spinach ricotta pastry, cinnamon roll, and blackberry turnover. Their drinks are pretty good, I like their homemade syrups and their seasonal mixes always have me intrigued. read more

This will absolutely be a new regular spot for my family and I! Not only is the cafe itself clean and have a great ambiance and cozy high end feel to it, but the food and service is beyond exceptional! I popped in for some brunch treats and walked out with their pineapple coconut tart, bacon and cheese croissant, blackberry and cream cheese croissant, and classic chili ate croissant! They were beyond DELECTABLE! I also saw they sell smoothies and when I asked, they told me all the ingredients and shared that their açaí is sourced directly and organically from Brazil! I don't specifically look for organic/naturally sources food but the fact that theirs is, adds even more reason to buy and enjoy! I feel their prices are more than fair and affordable especially for the quality. I'm a snob when it comes to croissants/pastries because I'm used to having them in England and Europe where it doesn't get more delicious with the buttery and flakyness. I can confidently say though, this is the first cafe in the states that has had a true European style croissant and pastry! I believe they said they make them fresh in house, which is yet ANOTHER reason to eat here, because they go the extra mile to make things fresh and high quality. Rebecca and her coworker (forget her name, so sorry!) were so incredibly kind and helpful when I had questions and looking for recommendations! Bequest Coffee is definitely a place to put on your map. Situated in the heart of Mill Creek town Centre it's a bespoke coffee shop run by a husband and wife team. The coffee is excellent but it's the fresh made cakes pastry's and sandwiches that really deserve the spotlight. The omelettes here are some of the best I have ever eaten the wife will eat the ham and cheese panini every time. Even in days of post Covid these family run businesses deserve our support and at Bequest you get top food and beverage at a reasonable price. Get down and try them out today. read more

I finally made it to this coffee shop after hearing about their homemade goodies and let me tell you, I was not disappointed (just mad I waited so long to pay them a visit). So, if you're in the area, stop by and pick up a dozen (trust me you'll go through them, they're small, that's what I'm telling myself) but do not leave without trying their coffee. I got their cold brew (also homemade) and it was delicious, now I have to try their drip (that's how I judge good coffee). read more

really appreciate this place as it is one of the only coffee shops offering outdoor seating (and not takeout/delivery only). it's conveniently located (w/ free town center parking) and perfect for a morning coffee or afternoon pick-me-up. i ordered a 12oz cappuccino and homemade apple tart. the pastry was deliciously flaky with tart apple slices. generous size, affordable price, not too sweet (which i liked) - would recommend trying! tip: bundle up if you plan on sitting outside. you have to ask to turn on the heated lamps, but even so, the tank may be out if you are unlucky! read more

Customer service is lacking at this place. The people working the register seem disinterested and are far from friendly. The tip choices start at 20% and go up to 30%. Tip is for GREAT service, NOT a way to supplement your employees income and I should not be expected to tip 20+% on a grab and go order. Lastly, prices are way too high for the fact this is a neighborhood cafe and items received are not worth the money. All these positive reviews on here are due to the incentive iPad set up inside the shop to leave a good review. Will not be back. read more

Our new favorite spot for a hot beverage and treat. The baked goods are yummy. I'm obsessed with the blackberry turnover. My son could eat 50 of the little hot dog wraps. We have yet to try anything we didn't love. I go for the tea and hubby loves the mocha concoctions. The owners are super friendly. Sit in the outside seating or grab things to go. Great place for happy hour; incredible wine list and a good selection of craft beers. We love the ambience; during the cold-rainy days their fire place makes a great place to be. And when it's nice outside, the fire-pit tables are perfect. You can always enjoy a fantastic menu to include flatbreads, salads, and much more. I needed to do a shout out to a new Gem of a place in Mill Creek Towne Center They are a family run business . You have not had a chocolate croissant, until you have tried their's The chocolate is so smooth , the croissant is perfection . They also have a pastry that has Bacon and a fontina cheese, a bite of heaven . I also tried their black and white mocha ( they have homemade chocolate whip cream ) The drink was perfect . If you want delicious food, amazing coffee with a side of fantastic customer service, this is the place for you!! The atmosphere is super cozy and inviting. You're always greeted with a welcoming smile; this day and age that goes a looooong way! The coffee is delicious and the breakfast sandwiches are amazing, I order them often to my house. The açaí is perfect, it doesn't have loads of sugar added. Everything is freshly baked and made on the spot. I highly recommend this new spot! read more

Best coffee I've had since my trip to Italy years ago, hands down!!! This place is awesome - great staff, fantastic freshly baked goods (and açaí bowls if you want something less gluten-ous!), homemade syrups; they're just amazing all around! I haven't been in for happy hour but I hope to soon because any place that does both coffee AND mimosas is okay in my book. It kind of overpowered the drink in a a way that didn't feel very balanced. The signs for the matcha flavors were also a bit sticky and dirty (as shown in the picture), which gave me the ick a little -- a quick wipe down would make the experience feel a lot cleaner for people trying the matcha flight. The coconut matcha and lavender matcha were actually very good flavor-wise, but the matcha itself still wasn't very strong. I think the drinks could really improve if the matcha base was more bold and if some of the flavor options tasted a bit more natural. The café itself is cute and the vibe is nice, which is why I'm giving three stars. I would definitely come back again, and my review could easily change if the matcha becomes stronger in the future. Matcha can be amazing when it's done right, so I hope they refine the recipe a bit.

Bequest is our go to coffee shop! They not only serve excellent options for coffee, but also yummy pastries, tasty sandwiches and flatbreads (their cheesecake is the best I've ever eaten!). The owners, Vinney and Andi, are gracious and welcoming. We took advantage of their offer to reserve a table for the Summer Concert Series at Town Center. We enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere, great food, and entertaining performances by various local band groups. We will be regular patrons of Bequest and recommend you pay them a visit. This is our second time and the coffee was a bit disappointing. Ordered a matcha latte and it just tasted like diluted milk due to the melted ice. Not expecting super quality matcha but despite the strong green coloring there was almost no taste of the matcha.
