So I brought my macbook into the Ramsey store for them to check it over and do a diagnostic test on it. They notified me that the test would be $65 base cost and additional repair would be more. I get a call that during the diagnostic test, the computer broke and wouldnt turn on. So just be forewarned that if your computer that was working before you bring it in, breaks during their work, you still have to pay. I understand my computer was probably on it's way out and it was not their fault, but still not a customer friendly policy. What really made me give them the 2 star review is the disrespect I experienced while picking up my computer. I was genuinely just inquiring to the front desk employee, Is there any other policy if this happens for pricing. Another man, who I assume was higher in authority came from the back and spoke down to me, was completely condescending and unprofessional. I would never recommend this place to anyone based on this man's attitude. If you had any other issues or bigger problems to deal with, I can not imagine it would be a professional and customer friendly experience. read more

In December of 2016 I contacted Bergen Computer Solutions to see about getting my Motorola Droid Turbo Screen and On Off Button Fixed. On December 9th 2016 I paid $190. It took several weeks to get the replacement screen installed, which was improperly installed/ damaged by the technician who was supposed to fix the cell phone including the on off button did not work at all, plus a new problem The Flashlight and Camera Flash is now also not working was not working. It took over a month for me to find this out as Bergen Computer Solutions repeatedly Lied to me as they constantly promised to get it fixed and give me up dates. As of today I contacted the Bergen County Department Of Consumer Protection and I am filing an official complaint for investigation. I am a retired Police Officer and as far as I am concerned this company is a Rip Off that is border line criminal. I suggest anyone who has been fleeced by this unscrupulous company to contact the Bergen County Department Of Consumer Protection at 201 336-6400. I've have used Bergen Computer Solutions many times and each time they have provided excellent customer service. From the intake counter until I pick up the repaired computer, their communication is clear, timely and accurate. The people who work there are friendly, respectful and professional. They know their stuff! I have used other repair stores in the area in the past, but none have measured up to Bergen Computer Solutions. Took my iPhone with a cracked screen to get my screen replaced. Over the phone they said it would be $99 and when I get there it's $159. Never said they have two different prices over the phone. Anyway, even with the screen cracked in a thousand pieces the screen still worked. Had them replace my screen and as soon as I took it home the mute button would activate while talking and other buttons would activate as well. The scrolling on the screen did not work well either. I noticed a hairline crack that soon traveled across the screen and I could no longer use my screen at all. Called them a week later and they said bring it in. When I brought it in they said I must have cracked the screen with a key or something. Totally a rip off. Would not recommend them or go there again. I got a new iPhone and decided to take my old one somewhere else to get the screen replaced a second time. read more

This is a terrible company! I brought my son's 1 1/2 yr old laptop to have a broken screen and the small, connector for the screen repaired and gave them a new screen. The laptop was charging and working fine (except for the crack when I brought it to them). They made the first fix and then told me that the laptop wouldn't charge so I authorized them to fix the charging port (most likely a scam), then I never received a call. I called them and they told me that they now couldn't get the computer to turn on and it was a blown motherboard. The computer was working FINE when they got it. After complaining to the owner, the offered to fix the motherboard for service charges only. Then again after waiting, I went in and the counter person casually mentioned that some of the keys weren't working. I was so frustrated at this point, I took my computer and left. When I got home I turned on the computer on, NONE of the KEYS WORKED. I typed an "A"- got an asterisk, typed an "E" got the #0. I took the computer to family friend who repairs computers and he told me that the motherboard they put it in was defective and needed to be replaced - additional cost $250-350. Remember, the original repair cost was for a part less than $50!!! Now I have to pay more $$ than the computer may be worth and it's still not working! My son had to leave for college after 1 month of back and forth, terrible service AND with no laptop!!! NEVER EVER EVER USE BERGEN COMPUTER SOLUTIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Great Company. I had a virus on my laptop so I searched online for a local computer repair shop and found these guys. I took in my laptop and they explained to me that the anti-virus I was using, Mcafee, was no good and that is why I got a virus in the first place. They got rid of the virus quickly and saved all my pictures and files. They got it done VERY quickly and even installed a free anti-virus for me and got rid of the bad one that came with the computer. Thanks! 1 happy customer! read more

They scammed us out of $150. An update ended up deleting our files so we took it here to try and recover whatever they could. William said they would be able to retrieve most of our files they did this all the time. After we finally got our computer back they told us that we would have to look through all the files ourselves to find whatever was recovered. He hadn't said anything about that when we gave them the computer. We had to search through hundreds and hundreds of corrupt files ourselves to find a tiny portion of our files. Our pictures were gone. All corrupted. They had never mentioned that they couldn't recover the pictures. Out of the tiny portion that we did find, a surprising amount of the files were deleted ones from a long time ago. I called the next day and asked to speak to the manager but he refused to come to the phone. I did drop an f bomb while talking to them which they reacted to hilariously. I guess I offended their delicate sensibilities. When we first took our computer William did mention that they used some program called "recovery rollback" which I looked up online. Similar programs go for about $20 or so. Should've just done it ourselves. The computer now is sooo slow, I have no idea what they did to it. Reported them to the BBB but got nowhere, but there's always NJ consumer state of affairs so we'll see how that goes. How these lowlifes have any good reviews is beyond me. Probably planted since every time we were in that closet they call an office, it was empty. read more
