Have purchased many Mac's, displays, iPads etc from this location never had an issue. I've had to wait some times due to large amounts of people but the staff was always pleasant. I will say some of the staff did not have some product knowledge for example when I purchased my studio I made sure to get the regular glass, not the nano texture I specifically wanted the glossy display for better colors. The employee didn't know what nano texture was and I was passed to either a different one or more senior employee. Not really a complaint I just felt the staff should have the same dedication to product knowledge their consumer base has as well, that is always a plus of dealing with most Apple stores normally the employees are Apple fans and users themselves read more

Went into the Apple Store today to purchase a new laptop with my daughter. Dennis was quick and efficient. She had an idea of what she was looking for as she wanted an updated Mac Pro. He discussed what she'd be using it for and took a look at her previous laptop. He gave us his recommendation as to what'd work. No giving the runaround. We were in and out of the store within 10 minutes. It was the most painless experience if you've ever waited at the Garden State Plaza Apple Store. Needed our Iphone batteries changed in 3/2019 and had it done in Nanuet, NY and it was a great experience. Picked a different location for this battery change. Made appointment on line for 11/27. Showed up, checked in and then passed to next employee. The employee we had most dealings with was Jamie and he was very cheerful and pleasant. He did mention a phone upgrade but was not pushy. We went through all the diagnostics and signed all the waivers. Went off for a few hours and met with three more people before getting our phones and paying. The store has a very dynamic vibe and was very busy at 10:10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Highly recommend going to Apple Store for any needs. I could have gone to a closer Best Buy but after calling and getting a foreign sounding woman that just wanted my phone number and then email address and thought there was no way I would trust my phone with anyone but Apple Store. read more

Came in to make a purchase for a gift with no appointment. We were able to secure an appointment for 1 hour later; we didn't care because it was a nice autumn day and there are lots of other stores to peruse in Tice's Corner. We return back for our appointment and had our tempura checked. Someone in front of us didn't have a mask and they were given one. Once in the store, there was amble hand sanitizers and even disinfectant wipes to clean the devices with, so you could try them out. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Not condescending. They didn't have what we wanted it stock so the guy recommended other nearby spots that would have it or offered to ship for free. This is the second time since March 2020 I've witnessed very "un-Apple like" customer service at this location. The first time I blamed it on the pandemic, but this time? No more excuses. My usual store is Apple Fifth Avenue, but for the second time this year I've made the trip to Northern NJ to assist an old friend who affectionately refers to me as "Mr. Apple" since I've been all Apple everything for decades now, even attending Apple Tice's Corner grand opening way back at the beginning of the millenium. My friend had scheduled an appointment, but upon entering, the store was surprisingly sparse of Apple badges, so we waited until our appointment, and then he asked for an update. He was told to wait longer. We waited, as I observed the scene, just a handful of Apple badges in the entire store, about a dozen or so waiting for assistance. A man with "security" written on the back of his shirt leaning on a table of iPhones with his eyes closed. I asked myself, is this really an Apple store? Now 15 minutes past his appointment and he looked to me for guidance. Not his turn yet. He said he could not wait any longer when it was 20 minutes past his appointment time. He cancelled his appointment and we left. I can't imagine how long the dozen or so other potential customers waited, I've never seen an Apple store with such few employees. And the "security" individual half-sleeping on the job is not something I've ever seen in an Apple store, and I've been to exactly 34 of them in the USA and worldwide, from Stockholm to Sydney, Macau to Mexico City. This felt like an off-brand Apple location, and I felt bad for my friend but also for myself. Now it's against my short-term financial interests to leave a one star review for an Apple store, having been an Apple shareholder since the late 1980s, but I'm hopeful in the long-term it will be in my best interests. Just to make sure Apple is addressing the concerns mentioned in the low-star ratings on Yelp and other review sites about this particular location, I reached out to my contact at Apple Leadership and Governance to ensure my poor experience at this store and others' voices won't go unheard. Apple has done better, can do better, and I believe without a doubt that it will do better. Because as it stands, Apple Tice's Corner is not an actual Apple store as far as I'm concerned and I've since directed friends and colleagues to make the trip to NYC and shop at Apple Fifth Avenue. read more

I came to this location for the first time to pick up my iPhone 14 Pro and trade in my 13 Pro through the iPhone upgrade program. The staff were clueless about the difference between doing a standard trade in and one that goes through the IUP which is supposed to close out the loan and zero out any existing balance as long as you've made 12 payments. The person helping me, Ahmed (sp?), was insistent that I must've selected the wrong option while pre-ordering and my choice was to pay off the loan on the spot and keep the phone or get a $600 trade-in credit to then manually pay off my Citizens Bank loan. I mentioned that the Apple Store prompt says I need to return the phone and they automatically close the loan. His response? "I don't know bro, there might be a slight difference because of the way payments line up." Why this rep thinks it's appropriate to call people "bro" as if they're a long time friend I don't know. His only other alternative was to cancel the entire order and start over. I reluctantly let them credit my credit card with $600 and went home. One day later my Apple order shows a banner saying "Please make sure to return your existing phone or you'll be responsible for the remaining loan balance." After hours on the phone with Apple Support they agreed with me that the rep accepted my iPhone 13 Pro as a regular trade-in and sidestepped the entire IUP process leaving me with a $150 difference to pay out of pocket. Thankfully I was able to get a credit processed by Apple and am now able to simply pay off the remaining balance myself. Another problem out of this situation was that they cleared my old phone before activating the new one and I wasn't able to receive texts to confirm the new eSIM. Another hour wasted on resolving that with my carrier. This location needs to better train their staff and consult others if they're not sure about something. This is my perspective of the experience I had today in the store. After entering and registering and being told we would be helped shortly is standard SOP. Not the first time buying an iPhone. It's just that this time I had my 78 year old mother with me as she was upgrading her phone. My mother is physically handicapped and walks with a walker. Not one employee offered a chair for her to sit in while she waited. Not one. To me not having any respect for the elderly/handicapped is unacceptable. Sadly this translated with the man that was assigned to help her. That was crystal clear when she asked for the 12, not the newest most expensive. There seems to be a disconnect with the older shoppers I saw in the store. And there were many while I was there. The problem we encountered comes from the lack of training to our salesperson that took an hour and thirty minutes to get the phone working. All being blamed on my carrier. And that was completely false. It was because our salesperson failed to update the phone prior to activation. Upon talking to a fellow salesperson is how he learned. Then letting us know that it was because it was an older model. Seriously, the model 8 is an old phone, not the 12. We are at this store for for 1.5 yrs and my mother is still not offered a chair. She has been sitting uncomfortably on a little pad on her walker. Yes, I could have asked. There were no regular chair height chairs, only bar height. While this phone is doing the update, our salesperson has an alarm go off telling him to take his lunch. He points to a fellow employee and let's us know they will be helping us finish and leaves. Said salesperson never came over. The phone finished its update no one comes over so I took the phone and we left. That will be my last visit to that store and I don't recommend this store. read more

I can see that I have been experiencing the 5-star service here for some time out of dumb luck. If you hit this store right, they are 100% fabulous. Today I got a taste of the 1-star service. I asked to talk to a genius today and was told that I'd have to wait 55-60 minutes. Not great, but fair enough. On returning in an hour, I found an empty genius bar (yes, empty). I was greeted with confusion and then the triumphant discovery that my appointment was in 30 more minutes. I know I would not have agreed to wait that long. And, like many other adults, I can tell the difference between the words 60 and 90. There was no apology. Just "I don't know" and an insistence on enforcing the appointment. I was firmly insistent that I had been told 55 to 60 minutes and that that was not the same as 90 minutes. The apple worker then told another worker (possibly a manager?) that I was being obnoxious and she said (to the other worker) "well, she's a walk-in, what does she expect?" She came over to me and also claimed not to know what to say. Here's a hint: "I'm sorry." That's the first thing you say. The next thing is: "Let me see what I can do." Then you actually do something. No one is required to shop in the apple store or buy apple products. I spend a lot of money on computers and I will think twice before I spend any more at apple. read more

Let me begin by saying when I was 16 I sent someone I met over Xbox live money via PayPal because he said he could automatically get me to level 10 Prestige in Modern Warfare II and I believed him. That still does not come remotely close to how hard I was scammed at this store. The reason for my visit was that the spacebar on my mac was not responsive. I had 7:30 appointment and even though there was 75 people working in the store, apparently only one of them could actually help me so I was not seen till 7:50. The other 74 employees walk around with iPads and ask if your device has been backed up to iCloud. When I was finally seen, the employee takes my computer in the back room to take a look. 2 minutes later he comes back and says he can't just fix the space bar and the whole keyboard has to be replaced. I go along with it and ask how much it would cost to which he says $375. I then ask if I were to trade my computer in and buy a new one how much it would he worth. He says $45. I didn't realize I was in GameStop. I'm still trying to fathom how that could make sense but I just said thank you and I'd let him know. I proceed to leave and call another store that specializes in fixing computers, drop off my laptop, and come to find out it is possible to get just the space bar fixed for less than $20. Give me some skates and put me on the ice coach because it's a god damn miracle. Steve do a better Job at trying not to rip off your customers. read more

I have been to this location a few times over the years. Always greeted immediately, once I walk through the door. Always a friendly smile and an associate ready to help. This is Apple at it's best. While I am not a fan of Apple products ( has to do with my Solyent Green Conspiracy Theory), my in-laws and wife drink the kool-aid. Their product is second to none and service is the "BEST" Jerry "the BEST". Apple just seems to do it right with user friendly products. My wife and I bought an iPhone 5s for mom and dad. The transaction was done through my wife's company online (reward points), and as soon as we walked in, the sales associate ported the information and done. Overall, Apple Store has the Best customer service in any retail environment. Always on point with knowledge and always very helpful. Now Apple products are pricey; supply and demand; but they do it right aesthetically and they are consumer friendly. read more

My Apple watch stopped working. I have actually had issues with my watch since I purchased it 8 months ago, having to visit different stores for manufacturing type glitches at least 3-4 times. No big deal - I figured this was another random glitch. When I got to this store, wearing my watch on my wrist, I checked in with a representative, presenting a watch with ZERO exterior damage. He went on to refer me to the appropriate technician, who, shortly after taking the watch to inspect it, dropped and badly cracked it (see pic). Rather than being apologetic, the representative grew aggressively and rudely defensive. He returned with the conclusion that the initial issue I came in about was driven by water damage. Fine...still zero apology for double damaging the watch by destroying its screen. He told me I'd have to pay out of pocket for repair. Also fine, but no admission of fault or covering of his level of the damage. Upon my complaints of his poor customer service, the manager got involved. She was even more rude, didn't apologize, but rather refused to help or provide her name. To add insult upon injury? When we complained to apple customer service, we found the technician and the manager went on to blatantly LIE, claiming that we walked in with a watch having a broken exterior screen. At the end of the day, I couldnt care less about the cost of repair -- but I DO care about the ethical principal of this matter, the utter lack of respect and the downright worst customer service and lack of professionalism I have EVER experienced.... one I would never have expected from an APPLE store of all places. I had always attributed the brand to be one that cared deeply about its patrons and providing them with a seamless, pleasant experience; I would expect the company to hire employees that carry that culture of respect and honesty. I am sorry to say this store woefully failed that test. I will NEVER be back, nor would I recommend any of my colleagues or friends to visit the location. I will be submitting a formal complaint to Apple and can only hope they check their cameras/statement from my check-in rep to confirm the perfect exterior condition of my watch upon visiting, and distinguish the employees involved that day as unethical liars....frankly employees that per that experience, were undeserving of their jobs. I always make the drive up here from Saddle Brook although the Paramus location is much closer. There is always convenient parking, always plenty of assistance. For instance on a recent visit with a computer in my hands, I had two service people come to the curb running to see if I needed help and the other opening the door. You do not get service like this at the Westfield Mall and you have to drag your equipment through a huge parking lot IF you can find a spot. The Genius Bar people are very knowledgeable and were right on time with my appointment that I made online. There are nothing to compare to Mac products, the service, right down to the packaging and this location in Woodcliff Lake is awesome, worth the extra miles and even the Garden State Parkway toll. read more

Pay your staff time and a half the day after Christmas, Apple can afford the extra payroll. Hire a lot more staff that do one thing, ring up merchandise. Horrible customer service . You basically have to spend an hour to speak to a sales rep . The lady asked for my name I told her it's right there next on the list . She then says oh your name is Dov. I said yes . She says ok u r next . So , I'm waiting and waiting and waiting and waiting . I leave and come back and I ask her again . Why was I never called ?. She then says oh we watched u leave. Then she says actually u r next now ,there was another Dovi not Dov when she previously told me I was next an hour ago. That she made a mistake initially thinking Dovi was Dov . She basically played a game telling me I'm next to keep me waiting . These people are real losers . Finally when I do talk to someone . She that someone doesn't know anything . She can't tell me if certain apps I use are compatible with face recognition? At this point .I asked to speak to a manager . Then , Some guy that works there sees me waiting annoyed . Tells me that he is has a friendly face . And starts throwing fake smiles at u . Continuously prompting That we should talk . I ask him are u a manager . He says no just a friendly face . Sorry I didn't go there to chat . Amazing how when waiting for sales help for more then an hour no friendly faces want to talk to u . But when u r about to cause a problem and are requesting management. All of a sudden all eyes are on you . And they just want to talk or suddenly they just all have that sudden time to talk . The manager that arrives she was also a treat in herself ... kept advising to write to customer service to recommend a product I think would be beneficial. They talk to you like they are reading to you . Instead of simply trying to rectify my concern on a demo phone , so I can simply buy a phone and leave . They want you to write letters .Not too smart these people are . Their problem lies with the fact that they actually think or believe that they are smart . And that's what makes it even a worse experience. They attempt to undermine you . Because they know they are smarter ....Being too confident that the product sells itself so u will buy it anyways . So the end result is F customer service . Well I walked out the door . And purchased an android device later that day . So yeah some people will tolerate the BS . Some won't ... Maybe they will advice you on how to actually sell their product rather then turn people off to your product . Once people change to Android they won't go back . Just got back from iPhone 6 launch event this morning, and I have to say that it was the smoothest launch I have been to yet! Ordered my iPhone online last week for in store pickup at Tice's Corner and I thought I would have to be the mega crazy line that rapped around the stripe mall. Since I reserved my phone I was part of a small reservation line. I was in and out in less then 45 minutes with my iPhone 6 Plus which was in uber short supply! The staff was friendly and fun as usual! They made for a fantastic experience! This is still my favorite Apple Store! read more

I visited because my phone kept showing the Cellular Update Failed error message after an update. Of course, the error message wasn't showing while I was at the store. I told the greeter what the problem was, and then I waited an hour and a half for them to look at my phone for 2 seconds and then tell me that I need to come back while it is showing the error message and that there was nothing they could do if it wasn't showing the message at the time of my visit. Everyone I interacted with here was friendly, but I wish they would have told me that before I wasted the afternoon waiting for nothing. read more

I went with grandpa to get his ipad fixed. Joe was working there and he seemed to be really annoyed by us. .maybe we came on a bad day. He gave my father an attitude . The ipad was acting crazy because the screen was broken. We asked if it can be fixed but he insisted it can not be fixed. He said it was $350 for a new one, and it's not worth it to fix this one. He insisted we just get a new one. This ipad meant a lot to grandpa because he got it as a gift from a family member. The family member died, not long after he bought it. So this ipad had a sentimental value to it. But joe insisted we cant fix it. Well...sorry Joe....but you suck. Not only were you rude that day, but you were wrong!!!! Grandpa got the ipad screen changed for only $100, in a different store. He is using the ipad to write this review, right now, in fact. AND the person fixed the ipad was VERY friendly and polite. An utterly frustrating waste of time. I decided to purchase a new Iphone 13 Pro to replace my aging Iphone 7. Went to the store so I could trade in my old phone directly rather than having to send it in and wait for the phone to be examined and also risk it getting damaged en-route. I also wanted to take advantage of the 24 months 0% interest if you used the Apple Mastercard. For reasons that I don't understand, I had to submit the order "on-line" by entering the information over the stores iMac. Then I had to come back the next day to pick up my purchase and drop off my old phone. OK not sure why it couldn't be done in-store at that time, but I follow their rules. I come back the next day and decide that I would like to change the phone I selected with the next model up (256GB version v. 128GB). Well apparently they cant just swap out one phone for the other and charge me the difference. I get two super rude guys that are telling me that I can't do it because I'm using the wrong carrier and I can't use the Apple card in the store unless I get their preferred carrier and the whole transaction is tied together and stuff. They don't seem to appreciate my business - These phones cost over $1,000 each and they treat you like dirt. So I wind up cancelling the whole order because its getting complicated and I'd have to come back again. I would have been better off ordering directly on-line. So whats the point of the brick & mortar store? My recommendation is to purchase elsewhere than the apple store and consider trying a different manufacturer. By the way, the Apple website does not have a way to submit a complaint about poor service. read more

Beware! This apple store is not open on Sunday! But this Bergen County gem is one of the nicest locations you can find. Genius appointments here don't get booked 15 weeks ahead, so you can get one the same day most of the time, if you want it. But you don't want it. I had the battery on my macbook pro replaced here (they had to send it out!), and bought other outrageously expensive apple paraphernalia as well. The floor shirts are very agreeable, and fundamentally fanboyish, which is both helpful and adorable. They don't all know what's going on, but they can take your credit card, and email you the receipt after you've purchased $10K of sexy wires and glass. If you feel that your iPhone cover isn't as good as your coworkers, and you don't want to wait 48 hours, pop in here, grab the violently overpriced Hello Kitty case, and show everyone you can one-up with the best of them. read more

All Apple Stores are great as far as I'm concered, but this one is situated in a very nice outside mall, near real apple orchards. O.K. I admit it. I've always been a Mac- lover. Put me on the Mac, and I feel somehow powerful. The "computer made for dummies" actually makes me feel smart and in control. And no matter what you tell me about PCs, I don't care. I will always love my Mac and will try to stay as far away from PCs as possible. So, why the four stars instead of five? Well, just recently, my Mac has disappointed me. My magnetic charger/chord broke apart, leaving my Mac useless and collecting dust on my desk for a few weeks. The new charger cost over $70, but at least the new charger seems better made. It has stronger reinforcements and is more rigid than the earlier version. Those Apple people are always finding new ways to improve their products. As my husband puts it, I'm a "true believer" of Mac and their stores, even if they rip you off with their prices. read more
