I am writing this to warn anyone that needs help with any electronic equipment that this is not the place to go. I took in my computer for some work, though they did get it running they didn't fix all the issues I had with it. The issues they said they would fix were never addressed. Never once when calling me for an update or when I picked it up did they explain to me that they didn't add Windows 11 , after speaking to them more than twice about that very thing. I discovered there was no Windows 11 three weeks after I got it home. When I called to ask for an explanation, I was told, "Well Your computer runs now!" But that is not the point, the point is I was told one thing more than once, and never did they disclose that Windows 11 was never added in, Just said come and pick it up. Another thing, when I dropped off My computer, I left it with the power cord. After picking it up I went home and realized that I forgot it. I called the next day and I was told that I never brought one in with it, which is not true. When dropping it off the man at the counter said "I don't think I need that, hmm leave it anyway just in case." So when I called for it, to hear that from child there. He finally agreed to give it back, but was it the one I brought? No, it was an old cord with a cut in it. I told myself forget it and I did. But since they don't think that communication and withholding information from a costumer is a good business model, I thought I'd bring it up. Here's another thing. I asked them to repair both HDMI ports, guess what, they fixed just enough to say we fixed it. again never told that only one was fixed. Wow am I a sucker to go into an establishment and think that what was told to me would be what I was getting. They could have said when I picked it up, we could didn't fix the port, we didn't add Windows 11like we told you we would more than 2 times. But no why do that? Don't waste your time, these young children don't know or care to learn how to run and speak to a customer. Find another place to go. read more

Battery and Charging Port Replacements Isaac handled my issues promptly, and to my complete satisfaction. He also eliminated the need for a replacement charging port by simply cleaning it. The owner operator is Issac and he is just terriffic. UPOD that is under promise and over deliver. I have had 3 different phones fixed at this shop in the last four years. He has always done quality work and delivered the phone faster than promised. He is incredible knowledge able about all aspects of cell phones from carriers to the devices themselves. I put peoples faces back together when everyone else thought that they were inoperable but I am 68 and retired. I did not grow up with cell phones and computers. To this day, I do not know how to type but what I do know and know really well is that I can spot talent, especially the talent that I lack. I have the brains and money to hire the best. When my LG laptop had a keyboard problem, I took it to another computer repair place in Closter. He told me that I had to replace the whole keyboard, at some expense. It made no sense at all to me, so I took it in to Issac at iTech Cellular. He said, "of course I can fix only the button that was a problem." And did quickly and at a reasonable price. I was on vacation when I opened my laptop and had no picture on the screen. I took my computer to Isaac and he had it fixed in a couple of hours. Missing laptop hard drive! I recently took my laptop in for repair while visiting family in NJ. I explained my timeline and was assured it would be ok. After 10 days and several unreturned messages it was not ready. I offered to come and get it to take back out of state with me. They were unable to accommodate. After my departure from NJ, I called and I was informed that my laptop was not repairable. I arranged for family member to pick it up. Upon receiving it I opened it to retrieve my drive with all my important data and the drive was missing. I called customer service and they said "that's strange, I'll look into". Two weeks went by and I left another message, no response. I'm extremely disappointed with the service I was charged for and my missing hard drive. Update: manager has offered to compensate $30 for the drive but still refuses to admit it was lost under their care. read more

They are honest people. About 3 years ago, I came in with a laptop repair since my laptop screen was damaged, and the screen looks perfect, everything still works well from that repair to this day. I had a mishap recently with a Samsung S7 with half the screen not working. Since the phone was in perfect condition, they suggested I see what Verizon would do as it should be covered under warranty. I appreciated the fact that the tech was honest with me and wasn't pushing me to fix the phone. These guys right here - iTechCellular are the best. I recently broke my iPhone X's screen - could not get into anything or use the screen (can't log into work without that MFA). I stopped by their office, they took a short time - while waiting 30 minutes - and produced a fixed iPhone X. I fully recommend this place - I have been to other shops and have gotten screens handled poorly but the experience I got here was the best. They fixed everything and got my iPhone X back in order. I had dropped my ipad2 on its corner and the glass had broken. After looking for local places where I could get same day repair, I found Itech Cellular which had mostly positive reviews... so I went with them. BIG MISTAKE! They were nice enough when I showed up and told me they could fix the ipad. I came back several hours and picked it up, all looked good. ( I was a happy customer at this point). Several weeks later, from the EXACT spot that they had 'repaired' the case (or frame or whatever they call it this time) the glass broke and spiraled a crack across the front of the ipad. When I brought it back to Itech to have it repaired under their warranty, within the warranty period. I didn't enter the store angry that their repair job had failed, however I did leave their angry that they will not honor their warranty. I was turned away as they consider this 'incidental damage', and not as a result of an improper repair, or substandard glass (possibly the same cheapo stuff sold on ebay for a couple bucks). I was told by the manager on duty that he couldn't accept it and that I should come back tomorrow to speak with the owner. Since I am an hour away I said that was not possible and asked to have the owner call me. After patiently waiting for 3 days for a call back and not hearing back, I received a call from the owner..... (perhaps some training on speaking to customers would be helpful; I found him to be rude and unprofessional) He said he would offer me a discount of fixing it properly this second time, but would not cover this repair under warranty. If the glass was broken in ANY other area, I could digest their refusal to fix under warranty, but in fact it is stemming from the EXACT location where the damage occurred the first time and where they had made some sort of modification/repair to the case or frame (not sure what they referred to it as) The damage on the corner was from the initial fall, and see how the crack starts at that specific spot. Before I get into the review, let me explain the situation I'm a DIY kind of person and prior to going to Itech, I've repaired my phone once before. Fast forward 7 months I dropped my phone and again I repaired it myself. However, this time I must have not thoroughly cleaned the phone and just by pressing too hard on the front of the phone, I unintentionally cracked the screen AND broke the digitizer. So I decided to leave it to the pro's. That's exactly how I was treated when I stepped into the establishment. The person who took care of me was straightforward and knowledgeable. Told me it would cost $70 and would have it fixed within 30-45 min. I could wait or come back. I decided to wait and before you know it, I had my phone returned to me in great working condition. So I dropped my iPhone 5s a few days ago. Wasn't the first time I shattered my screen, but the problem this time is that I still have over a year and a half before I'm due an upgrade. I I did some research on screen replacement and found that this place was the cheapest and takes walk-ins and will fix your phone in an hour in most cases. This was great because: 1) apple store would have forced me to buy a new phone after waiting over an hour to get served. (I did not purchase apple care.) 2) radio shack would've charged me over $200 (kit purchase plus labor) and they don't fix it on the spot. 3) the other independent places would've had to keep my phone for a few days and I just don't have time for that. 4) Website services would've made me ship my phone and again I just don't have time for that either. 5) The other same-day repair places are too far (Hoboken and Manhattan). I'm almost never in those areas with enough time to kill to justify going there. I know they are cheaper, but not everyone travels regularly into the city. I dropped my phone off with them at 4:30, answered a few questions, was given a ticket, and told to come back by 5:30. It was $109.99 plus another $9.99 for a matte screen protector plus tax. Went to finish some errands, came back at 5:30. Phone looked brand spanking new! Plus they gave my phone a nice detailing (cleaning). I couldn't be happier with this business. No frills. Prices are good. And they get the job done quickly with no hassles. read more

During my high school years I found my way here a few times. My family has also visited for their cracked screen replacement needs. Prices are good, but more importantly, they use high quality stuff. I just ran in today with my new phone to get a tempered glass screen protector, and it's so thin and unobtrusive - other places use thicker, cheaper screen protectors. Popped in after Apple wasted my afternoon with their "Genius Bar" and then refused to service iPhone 5 after letting me sit there for an hour thinking my phone was being repaired. I knew Apple voids a warranty if you have non Apple professionals service your phone but I didn't know that also meant that Apple will NEVER service your phone again. Cool story. On to what matters. Insanely knowledgeable and personable specialists working here. Whatever your knowledge level of tech you'll be able to converse on an amicable level. Came in and the battery on my iPhone 5 was replaced within 30 minutes. Another thing to also note is my phone was meticulously cleaned upon delivering and once returned. Excellent service at a very fair price. Never bothering with Apple's BS service policies again. And while I hope to not have to, any future tech repair needs will be brought here. read more

I broke the glass on my phone yesterday, called today, and made an appointment. It took them about an hour to fix my phone as I waited in the store. The phone looks good, screen works, and it seems like it was put together well. I've dropped my phone plenty of times before so I don't know if the dents around it is from my dropping or from when they repaired it. Minor stuff for a phone already damaged. Repair cost was $89 + tax, totaling to $96 to me. I know the replacement piece is cheap to get online, so it's really the service that's kind of expensive but I understand its a delicate procedure. I didn't want to risk doing it myself. If I repair it myself and tear the actual screen, then it'll be even more expensive to repair. ___ Added another star for good follow through :) read more

I have used them before, more than once, i believe, and used them again yesterday. BUT NO MORE. They have alienated me, and they are going to alienate more with their new "cash discount" of 3%. It is no such thing. It is a surcharge of 3% if you use a credit card. They quoted $99.99,(about $106 with tax they said) when my wife put in her phone. I picked it up three hours later, and spoke to the guy helping, mentioned the $99.99 price, which he confirmed. Whilst waiting, i read their cash discount policy, offering the 3%. Interesting, i thought, will remember that for next time. Got the phone, got home, glanced at the receipt. They had added a "non cash adjustment" of $3.20, making it a total of $109.81. It's only $3 but it's the principle, and the deceptiveness. There will be no next time, and i will be advising my friends of this. read more

They ended up breaking my front camera and charged me full price. At the end the guy was very rude, started raising his voice at me. I didn't understand half of the things he was saying. Brought two phones there and had screen replaced, screen protectors and bought two cases. Spent a lot of money and in a few days my screen protector chipped in a few places and was sharp. Bought it back in and their response was yea that's what they do, they chip. I can sell you another one with a discount? Really after a few days? I've had screen protectors from Verizon that didn't chip after a year let alone a few days and you'd rather loose a customer and potential customers through referrals then do the right thing and replace it? That's great for business! I work in Sales and that's not the way you improve your bottom line. I had a broken Ipad screen fixed from them. It never worked right. Touch was sluggish and I had to put a lot of pressure to have it work. Few month after the screen just stopped responding. They turned my old mac into a functional machine, installed the ram, a new keyboard, and gave me advice about a SSD hard drive, which they later installed. They are very knowledgeable. Don't be fooled by the positive reviews of iTech. These guys are crooks and I can prove it with pictures of my laptop which they ruined and did not have the decency to admit they wrecked it and lied - read on if you want to know more. I am not a rival repair person ... I have no other repair place to recommend ... so no reason to make this up ... call them and ask about my repair experience. Summary: 1. I gave them a laptop with a "simple" power jack problem - meaning the jack was intermittently making a connection but not always ... it was only a loose jack-to-laptop connection problem because intermittently it would connect and charge the laptop battery. It was "not" an internal power problem. 2. I gave it to them for repair and was promised it would be fixed in 2-3 days. 3. 6 week later I was still calling regularly asking why my laptop's problem was not fixed. I even went the store a couple of times and received the following answer from the owner (some young kid who lies with a straight face): "our expert is on vacation an will repair your laptop as soon as he returns" A "complete" Lie (I will explain why he lied. 3. So I waited a couple of more weeks and kept calling because it was now getting ridiculous and I smelled a rat with their responses 4. I finally gave up and went there to get my "un-repaired" laptop back because I did not believe a word they were telling me and my gut told me that something was not right 5. When I went to the store to pick up the laptop - the same lying owner came out - smiled all the way "saying he was sorry their "expert" was still not back (after 8 weeks !!!) ." .... read on to see why they lied about this "expert on vacation for 8 weeks" 6. I was STUPID enough to not examine the laptop before I left the strore (maybe I was too gullible and believed the lies from the owner) 7. When I got home, not only had they broken the chassis by about an inch where the power plug goes in, the plug was missing and the entire "power related" electronics "inside the laptop" was missing (MISSING!!!) and soldiered off. This brings to mind the following: 1. Did they use a "crowbar" to try and open the chassis because they did not have the proper screw drivers ? 2. Is their "expert on vacation for 8 weeks" 7 years old ? 3. Why be dishonest ... is dishonesty good for business to be dishonest with customers ? 4. Why let me leave with my ruined laptop which they knowingly completely wrecked with lies ? (the lying and delay explains that they knew they ruined my laptop beyond repair) 5. All these crooks had to do was tell me the truth that we screwed up and give me options ... I am not an unreasonable person Bottom line .... want your electronics repaired by crooks whose owner "lies with a smile" and does not have the decency to say I made a mistake. We all make mistakes and I am a very forgiving person. But not when dealing with "owners" that lie and let you leave with laptop that they broke and completely ruined. Ask yourself, are you willing to take that chance with your electronic repair (with anyone ?) I learned my lesson - if you can afford it, get insurance for your products so you don't have to deal with these crooks. I have NO recommendation for any other repair place - so I speak the truth. I use Best Buy's Geek Squad but I don't trust them either so I purchase insurance now which they honor - at least I don't have to deal with crooks like iTech. Make your own decision, just be sensible about it. Even if you go to a local repair shop (I hope you don't go to iTech) - get a written guarantee from the repair place that if they cannot repair or damage your device they will not charge you and pay you for a replacement if they ruin it. Take pictures before you give it to the repair shop and examine the device on delivery (compare it to the pictures you take). Get it in WRITING. These mom and Pop stores like iTech will smooth talk you into not getting it in writing (a major warning sign) Good luck read more

Warning: bringing your phone here will void your warranty with Apple. Brought my phone in with a broken screen, they replaced the screen, however after iTech worked on my phone, the battery would not charge properly. Once the battery died, I could not get my phone to power back on. Long story short, brought them phone with a broken screen, and ended up with a completely non-functional iPhone. Customer service was terrible, Andrew and June were both very rude despite a patient and courteous customer. I would never recommend using this business, they do not take responsibility for their mistakes and once they touch your phone, you cannot take it to apple for any repairs (I know this personally because I tried). I went here to get a screen protector for my iPhone 5s and the service was really nice. They were able to put a screen protector on in less than 10 minutes and I also picked up a new case while I was waiting. The guy who worked there gave me a 10% discount for buying a case too so everything (the case + the matte screen protector) came out to about $30, which is not bad at all. I went there tonight to get my screen fixed on my Galaxy Note 4, which was coming apart from the phone. They did a great job in repairing it and was done in 45 mins.
