Came across this spot, as I was returning to MS from my LA trip. I was a bit hungry and wanted to eat some LA food before heading back into MS. I was glad I found this spot on yelp, and I was more than happy to try it out. They have plenty of food to choose from, and it is kinda hard if you don't really know what to get. So I played it save with the smoked chicken thighs, and tried out the boudin sandwich. The chicken seemed thigh was so cheap I didn't believe it, for a pice that by itself filled me up. The Boudin sandwich was a good meal also by itself, you got to eat it fast though. I took my time, and it became a bit too soggy. I loved the experience though. The store looks like a big meat market, not too fancy, but this is a place to get your meat, and not for a romantic date. Maybe you do, when you're from Louisiana. j/k read more

Full service Cajun store. Meats all look amazing. They have a great hot bar and the food smells and looks incredible. I got the chicken and pork cracklins. They sell these by the pound. Technically, the pork cracklins are the traditional ones but I prefer the chicken and these did not disappoint. Don't get me wrong, the pork are also great but if I was pressed, I definitely would go with the chicken. If you cant find something here that you like, I don't know what to tell you. As you can tell from the Picture these were some sad, Greasy, dry and very small Boudin Balls. Everything tasted as if was fried in old oil. Not to mention the Boudin Balls were salty like the Sea. This is one that I would just want my Money back. No need in speaking about the Service. There was nothing that is worth saying at this point. There will be no second chance on this one. read more

I literally ran across the spot out in the middle of Covington. Looking for something to snack on. Searching for boudin on Yelp I found his little Jewel. They had great hot food options available along with 3 different types of boudin balls and links. They Also had the majority of the hot food that they sold in freezers that you can take home and cook yourself prepackaged a flash frozen. I settled on a pepper Jack boudin balls. They offer a variety of cajun specialty meats from wild game to traditional Cajun favorites here. Even alligator sausage. Their meats are Louisiana Certified and infused with unique spices and rubs, helping to deliver an unparalleled culinary experience like none other. They have a walk in and purchase section that has coolers of frozen food options, a hot and ready counter to grab and go (that we enjoyed) and they also offer a sit down and eat space as well. Hands down a great spot. Establishment was tucked back in a strip type of business complex. Inbetween a sports apparel store and a notary. We came in with the truck and found parking was tight on the gravel lot but we made it work. So happy we found this spot and because we were staying local for a moment we frequented it often. read more

I used to frequent Bergeron's years ago at the Mandeville location. The boudin was so good and flavorful back then. Since I no longer live in the area, I was excited to grab some boudin as I was passing through recently. The first thing I noticed was that the Covington location was much bigger and more inviting. The boudin did not look like I remembered but I hoped that maybe it would taste better. The lady that checked me out was extremely helpful, so 5 stars for customer service. I purchased 6 links and the price was fairly reasonable. The boudin had quite a bit of spice and kick to it, but no actual flavor. I think others would probably enjoy it but it's not for me. read more

I don't normally recommend a place unless I really like it. I live in California, but visit family in this area as much as I can. I love authentic Louisiana flavor, and I make it a point to stop here on my trips. I find the staff is helpful and friendly in making recommendations and being patient. I must say I typically buy the same stuff every time I'm here; spicy jack boudin balls, smoked boudin sausage, and pork cracklins (they have chicken cracklins too). The flavors score a 10 out of 10. I froze the boudin sausage for my flight home, and it warmed up in an air fryer just fine. Definitely recommend as a legit Cajun meat vendor and also to stop by for a hearty meal. I've been wanting to stop into this place for quite some time now. It's a restaurant/ deli and they have a wide variety of items to choose from. Not knowing what to get, the staff were super helpful on helping me decide on a few things to take home and try. I settled on the Boudin Balls and Smoked Boudin. I'm unsure why this wasn't on Yelp to begin with but wow this place is amazing. From my understanding each location has a different menu so you'll have to contact them to know for sure what is available. I had this two day in a row and going to wrap this up into one review. First day, I had the Stuffed Ribeye Wraps - Jalepeno + Cream, crawfish pie and a deer burrito. That stuffed ribeye wrap is DIVINE. The crawfish pie was delish and so was the deer burrito my only complaint was the deer burrito was a little mushy and oily, still tasty. Second day, tried 1/2 pound of pork cracklin'...amazing, best cracklin' I've had down here so far. Seafood kicker (crawfish/crab/shrimp ball), Pepperjack Boudin ball, Boudin eggroll wrap and a Moonie burger (their smoked chicken thigh grounded up with BBQ sauce on a bun). The Moonie burger was amazing, so much flavor and the sauce also had a smoky hint to it. The boudin and seafood kickers were also really good. Overall there hasn't been a single bad thing. My sister and I have been talking about doing the boudin trail for a long time. Last week I searched the internet for boudin near me and found Bergerona Covington, LA, 1 1/2 hours from Hattiesburg. Worth the trip! We got boudin balls (big as baseballs), smoked boudin links, crawfish pies, and boudin egg rolls. Everything we got was authentic Cajun food and so delicious. Before we left we got boudin and more boudin to go. We won't need to look any further for our boudin cravings in Louisiana..they were that good. While you are there talk to Cody. He was a super nice young man that is very passionate and knowledgeable about their food and he told us they will ship anywhere. read more

While visiting the New Orleans area for Mardi Gras, my husband and I were looking for a place to get some boudin. Looking over Google maps we came across Bergeron's. It was about 45 miles away from where we were staying but let me say that the trip out there was well worth it. There were so many food items to choose from!! We tried the boudin links and boudin balls and they were off the hook (aka really, really good)! Since we are from out of state, we also placed an order for several items to be sent to our home that needed to be cold. On top of the great food came amazing customer service. Cody was beyond awesome!! Such a great help with all of the items and let us sample a couple of items before buying them. He's such an great guy; very friendly and made us feel right at home!! The owner's sister (sorry, I forgot her name) was great as well. Very friendly! We would 100% recommend this place if you're in New Orleans or surrounding areas. We will most definitely come back to this place next time we visit. In the meantime, we look forward to receiving our order at home and continuing to enjoy their delicious food! read more
