We went on a Thursday and my wife got the special. She said the chicken was dry but the sides were amazing. I got the Boudin Balls with pepper jack cheese. They were great. 10/10 We split an order of mini crawfish pies 8/10. The crawfish eggroll was ok. 7/10 but wouldn't get again. My daughter got the pulled pork poboy and it was 9/10. She enjoyed it.

I'm just done with Ronnie's. I've been going here for many many years, and I've watched their food quality and service decline while their prices skyrocket. Their cracklins used to be the best around. 5 years ago, they were $13.99/lb for fresh, hot, delicious pieces of pork belly. Now you pay an astronomical $23.99/lb for sawdust, gravel, and a few pork skins that have been sitting under the heat lamp for days. I know this because I gave them one last chance & went early early in the morning to get the freshest possible & they were garbage. They don't even put bacon strips on their bacon egg cheese breakfast sandwich anymore. It's just a little pile of bacon crumbs right in the middle of the bread. The people who work there act like they hate the customers & make you feel like you're bothering them by placing your order. They're not knowledgeable about the menu. Just all around terrible service.

A carnivore's delight! I drive from the New Orleans airport for this treat. Ordered boudin balls, smoked boudin, crawfish egg rolls, and both types of cracklings. The chicken was a new one for me, and I have to admit, was the best of the offerings. They have room to sit, a full service meat market, and friendly staff. Right off the highway, I recommend stopping in for a quick bite of quality Cajun fixings.

Stopped by here for some Cajun food on my road trip. We got the smoked boudins, chicken cracklin, pork cracklin, boudin egg rolls, boudin balls, and crawfish egg roll. My favorite is the chicken cracklin. First time trying boudin and it was delicious. They did a great job with the seasoning. I also like the gooey texture of the boudin, really helped coat the tongue with all the flavor. With the boudin balls and egg rolls, I enjoyed the different textures, crispy outside and gooey inside. The staff were friendly and courteous. Definitely recommend this place.

Driving through Hammond and was in the mood for some Boudin. Its had to find good boudin in New Orleans so i Googled it and Ronnie's Boudin & Cracklings poped up. When you walk in tge smell of smoked meats hits you in the face. Its gets your appetite ready for what's up ahead. I ordered 9 stuffed boudin balls stuffed w pepper jack cheese & some of their delicious crack Mac and cheese which was all hot and delicious. They also have a yummy selection of poboys but ill have to attempt that on another trip. The customer service was very friendly and informative too. I recommend if ever in the Hammond area.

Smoked boudin is the best I've had anywhere. So good. Chicken cracklings are meaty and well flavored. Excellent stuff.

Babyyyyy let me tell y'all... I would have gone out HAPPY Saturday night after eating here and that…read moreis NOT an exaggeration ‍ From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was so peaceful and welcoming. And can we talk about the music?! Christian music playing the whole time -- that's all we listen to, so my son was over there having his own little concert knowing every word lol. It just felt GOOD in there. Now listen... they were BUSY busy (Saturday night, so we expected that), and we were starvingggg, so we skipped the appetizers -- which honestly hurt my feelings a little because they sounded SO good And I HAVE to shout out the server/owner -- because baby, my dad is 80 years old and will talk to ANYBODY about ANYTHING. When I say they handled him like a pro... I mean patient, kind, laughing with him, never rushing him off -- just truly good people. If you know, you know Let's get into the food though I ordered the BBQ bacon cheeseburger (no onions) with fries... AND a fresh squeezed lemonade that was absolutely BOMB ‍ Like refreshing, perfect, not too sweet -- I could've had about three of those, easy My dad got the surf & turf burger, my sister got a regular burger, my brother-in-law had the crawfish étouffée with fried catfish, and my son got chicken fingers. We did have a bit of a wait, but honestly it gave us time to sit, talk, and enjoy being together -- no complaints there BUT BABY... when that food hit the table... Not. One. Word. Except "OMG this is the best thing I've ever eaten!!!" That burger?!?! I'm not even kidding -- I would request that as my LAST MEAL. It was THICK, juicy, cooked perfectly. The bacon? Crispy perfection The sourdough bun? Soft, fluffy, just holding everything together like it was sent from Heaven The BBQ sauce wasn't overpowering -- just right. AND let me say this... I am the DIPPING SAUCE QUEEN I normally need ranch, ketchup, something on the side at all times... but this burger?! I didn't touch a single sauce. Not ONE. It stood on its own and didn't need a thing I did not stop eating until it was GONE. No to-go box. No shame. No regrets. I usually can't even finish a burger anywhere, but this one?? I couldn't put it down. And when I tell you EVERYONE cleaned their plates -- I mean EVERY. SINGLE. PERSON. Even my son, who is VERY picky about his "chicken nuggets," was tearing those chicken fingers UP and talking about how good they were So will I be back? ABSOLUTELY. Will I recommend it? Already have ‍ Will I start a petition (or boycott ) if they ever take that burger off the menu? Don't test me. Also... sorry there are no pictures We turned into straight feral animals the second that food hit the table 10/10 -- run, don't walk.

Food was truly wonderful like all the other reviews state, but the wait times for service and food…read morewere not. We were brought flat cokes, then asked for tea instead, that was brought out warm with little ice that melted before it even cooled the tea. Service needs so much improvement, especially during lunch hours, can't even fault the gal working, she was by herself. The building could also use a good cleaning, it's super cute otherwise. So much potential here and I hope it improves.

We, a family of 5 traveling from Kentucky to Galveston decided to stop overnight in Hammond. As soon as we arrived, our waitress immediately recognized the pent up energy of a 3 year old cooped up in a car seat for the last 8 hours. She immediately took his his order and had his dinner on the table quickly, occupying his busy hands. She recommended the spinach dip as appetizer with a fried pasta . It was gone in minutes! Great. She then recommended the special, pork loin, that my son devoured! Wife and daughter thoroughly enjoyed the crab cakes. I had trout with almandine sauce. First time eating trout but after eating this, I realized I have missed out! It was outstanding. I recommend everyone coming down I55 should stop and visit Hammond, a very nice small town with all the southern charm you can imagine and a great eating establishment. !

We got here around 8ish in the evening and it was raining so not many people here. So we propped up at the bar and ordered. I was in a martini mood so Gin martinis were my calling; they made them the way I like: slightly dirty w/ extra olives. I can't remember how many of those I ordered but they went down smooth. I didn't want to order anything heavy so I decided on the Brussels Sprouts and a cup of the Chicken/Andouille Gumbo. The Brussels were crispy and had a nice soy glaze to cap it off. They garnished it with some peeled scallions which gives a nice finish. I'm a sucker for Brussels Sprouts; if they're on the menu, I'm very likely gonna order them. The gumbo was pretty good, had a tomato richness to it. I forgot what my friend ordered; probably cause I had too many martinis. It's about a 10-15 minute drive from Hammond but it's worth it. Check it out when you're in the area!
