So they had the gall to charge me for the first installation AND for the removal of the bad part and installation of what, I guess, they hoped was a good part. Picked up car and there was no heat. They had failed to burp the cooling system using the small plug on the holding tank made for that purpose. Another time, I arrived 8-10 minutes before closing only to find the office doors locked and my car in the lot UNLOCKED. I had a valet key and I drove the car home. My wife took her car to this place for an oil change and State Inspection. The 'mechanic' left off the access panel under the chassis for oil pan access. I was told they could not get the part for weeks. I found the panel on eBay for $15. I have not used this place for some time now, but I felt it necessary to forewarn people who are considering taking their vehicle to Forest Automotive. BEWARE.

So, I went in to get three tires replaced. three hours later Christy comes out and says, "It's going to be $2,500 to do the work on your car." Then she shows me that they did a multi-point inspection (by the way my car passed their inspection). I said, "Who told you to do all this work? All she said was, "Well, we will have to schedule you to come in to get the work done." I then said I came in for tires. They are warrantied. Do the tires and I will have my mechanic look at the rest of the car. This is when she says, "Oh well then we won't warranty your tires." She also, while telling me all the things supposedly wrong with my car, showed me pictures of the air filters. They had leaves and were pretty dirty. The funny thing is I had just done a service on the car and replaced all the filters including the air filters. I have taken my car to my mechanic, and he said there is nothing wrong with the car except for the three tires that still need replacing!!! Fire Christy before she gets you sued! And please let the door hit her on the way out!

(Did I mention that my car is FIVE YEARS OLD?!?! ) Apple Ford quoted me a price of over $700 to fix the A/C, but my service tech at Lynchburg Transmissions got his hands on a used compressor and only charged me $150.
