We are owners and the customer service and professionalism experience is horrible.. they have no maintenance to service us as owner... we didn't get our room ready until 630pm... when we asked what's going on they stated they were short staff... we were supposed to be put in new unit and was verified twice before checking in and they gave us old units and none handicapped which we requested.....we had to be aggressive and stated we will not be staying we're we have to walk up a hill (unit 7) with my handicap father in law and sister in law...we had a refrigerator problem and they stated it was fixed and it was not... they stated we have to wait until tomorrow; we have a refrigerator full of food are you serious....we decided to take matters in our own hands and we had someone come help my grandson take the refrigerator from the unit they wanted us to put our food in to walk up and down stairs (WTH) until tomorrow ...then we ask for management and they have no one available until Tuesday (REALLY) I can't wait to see the conclusion of this mess How do you feel about this issue?

Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Our room could have used some maintenance as the shower door was off it's track, but overall we were pleased. The check in process was a little painful as we asked if there happened to be a room with a view... Me: Can we get a room with a view? Lady: Your room has a view of the parking lot. Is that OK? Me: Umm, is there possibly a room with a better view? Lady: Do you want me to look? Me: Umm, yes, please. Lady: Well, I can't guarantee I'll find you a room with a view. Me: OK. Lady, several minutes later: There are no rooms with a view. Had you wanted a room with a view, you should have called 24 hours in advance. Me: Ok, I'll remember that for next time. Ultimately, we did have a good view from the patio! There are a number of restaurants about 15-20 minutes away in Williamstown and the ski resort is about a mile away.

Absolutely beautiful! The resort is situated on top of a hill on top of a mountain. At the peak is the check in area along with an indoor pool, jacuzzi and outdoor lounge area with beautiful views. Check in was quick and courteous. Lots of books, DVDs and an arcade is in this area. Upstairs are different rooms for a variety of functions. This area also has free coffee, hot chocolate and lemonade throughout the day. The pool was a good size and not very deep, the jacuzzi was small. There is also an outdoor pool with concession stand, bathrooms and grills. Across from the area is a volleyball court and next to the pool is a playground. There were a variety of extra activities throughout the week for children and adults. One night was a paint night for an additional fee that my fiancé and I tried out. The rooms are gorgeous, very clean and well kept. Our room had a large living/dining room with a tv and electric fire place. The kitchen was a good size as was the bathroom. The bedroom included a whirlpool tub which was heavenly after a long day hiking and exploring the area. Each room has a small balcony with a few chairs and small table. We had no problems at all with any of the accommodations except that the bed was extra soft and squishy which was uncomfortable but bearable. They offer rooms that are wheel chair accessible but please be aware the entire resort is on a mountain and there is barely any flat ground to be found around the resort. I would imagine getting around in a wheel chair or for anyone who has difficulty walking would find this area difficult. Overall our week stay was enjoyable and we would return!

This is the second time we came to this area this year. In the winter, we went skiing and stayed at the Wyndham Resort. This time we are staying at Vacation Village. The units at the Wyndham are much nicer and if you are coming to ski, they have in and out skiing. Vacation Village does not have that. Now that we are here in June, it is not a problem; but I would not come back here if it was a ski vacation. Check-in was easy and the ladies were very nice and helpful. There is an indoor pool right in the Reception Building. Adjacent and across the street is an outdoor pool. They also charged us a $25 resort fee that Wyndham did not charge. The outside of the units are unremarkable, but inside they are very nice. We had a one bedroom deluxe which had a fireplace. They did not have fireplaces at the Wyndham. Parking here is better than the Wyndham. It's right outside your building. At the Wyndham you have to walk a distance. The kitchen is very well equipped. The bathroom has a juccuzi bath tub as well as a shower. I am excited about our stay here. Already the weather here is better than summer in our Florida home! I will check in with comments later as our week progresses.

Vacation village is a nice retreat from the city The rooms have everything you need although not quite up to par with the Wyndham. They have a movie room on the 2nd floor of reception, however they don't offer popcorn most nights, unlike the Wyndham which had it every night. There are fresh towels at the pool ‍ which is a nice touch. Indoor and outdoor swimming is available. There are some events like ice cream social and plenty of grills to use.

Pros: Great clean place, tastefully decorated. Pool & grounds were well maintained. Activities for kids( arts & crafts, bingo) adults (water aerobics, yoga) family (movies). It's right across from Jiminy Peak. Cons: front desk women were NASTY & RUDE! In person & on the phone with any question we had. We witnessed others being treated nasty as well. They were horrible!!!! This is a family vacation spot & visitors have questions. They werent helpful. Make sure NOT to ask any questions about Jiminy Peak they will snap! Also rooms were not insulated well. We could hear everything & everyone above us, next to us & below us. Wi-Fi was out & was slow, jacuzzi jets blew black stuff out & toilet never stopped running (I didn't dare call front desk to complain) too scared!

We knew we needed a place for 150 people and we knew we wanted it to be drivable for both family and friends in upstate New York and Boston.   We stumbled upon The Lake House Guest Cottages of the Berkshires after months of searching, but the only wedding we had seen hosted there was inside the main cottage. Reluctantly, we decided it was probably too small for us.   Fast forward another month.  Randomly one night, my wife and I both separately pulled up the venue again and I said, "We need to just call them. Maybe they have some grass we can put a tent on." After a couple of email exchanges, Eric, the owner, and Cory, the grounds keeper, invited us out to see the space and were instantly sold. The beautiful grounds, the stunning cottages (or as we like to call them, "mini mansions"), THE VIEW.   Not only did they have four cottages on site where guests could stay, but they also had a field where they had placed a tent for previous weddings that could hold up to 150 guests. We soon found out that over the winter months they would be adding three additional cottages for guests to stay and a seasonal tent to be used for weddings throughout the summer and fall. Needless to say, we booked it.   A couple months into planning, LHGC added a wedding coordinator to their awesome team.  We connected with Kelsey instantly, discussing plans we had made and things we had coming down the line. She was always available if we had a question or concern. Come time to do our walk through before the wedding, we laid out the entire day with the help of Kelsey and our caterer.  We walked away knowing we had the dream team on board.   When our weekend approached, all the new additions were complete and the space was more beautiful than ever. We had our rehearsal brunch Friday morning and welcome party Friday night, both of which allowed for the caterers to take full advantage of the catering kitchen in the main cottage. Kelsey and Cory were completely accommodating and there from start to finish to help with anything we needed.   Our guests arrived sporadically from Friday morning through the evening and spent time playing lawn games, kayaking and paddleboarding on the lake, and enjoying each other's company.  It was so nice to have the entire grounds at our disposal.   On our wedding day, it was just the same. Everything went off seamlessly. Kelsey and Cory were both there if something came up, made sure that set up was perfect, ran the ceremony and reception smoothly and effortlessly.   Our wedding was perfect. It was everything we could have dreamed it to be and more.   Thank you, LHGC, for welcoming us to the family!  We look forward to spending many anniversaries with you on Pontoosuc Lake!

This was my first visit to Club Wyndham at Bentley Brook (my second stay as a Wyndham club member)…read more I was very excited to check out this property because I'd seen it last year on a trip to the Berkshires but wasn't yet a member. Check in was smooth and front desk staff very helpful and ready to answer questions. With a 4:00pm check in time on Sunday; we threw our stuff into the room and ventured out to find a place for dinner. Upon our return to the room, we were very pleased with the accommodations. Our master bedroom had a king bed, ample pillows and a nicely appointed 2 person Jacuzzi tub. The shower and toilet was separated by a door. The vanity was large and I would've appreciated a double sink; but we made due. The kitchen and dining, living room area was open floor plan and the couch was not comfortable but ultimately we weren't actually watching alot of TV. All the rooms had TVs with a good compliment of cable channels. Second bedroom had two full size beds that were more than suitable for my guests. Their bathroom was also acceptable. My only gripes were that the Quisinart coffee maker seriously took 30 minutes to brew coffee (it's quicker to go to the lobby and get their free coffee in the morning!), the oversized light above dining table should be on a dimmer switch (as I felt like I was being interrogated on Law&Order sitting under it) and the lightswitch in our room turned on both the ceiling fixture AND the vanity lights (too much light!) and the safety locks on the bedroom window were annoying because I could only open it 3 inches at night. I was also disappointed that the mountain coaster and Alpine slide (and other rides) at the neighboring Jiminy Peak were not in operation during the week (weekends only this time of year) but that has no bearing on Club Wyndham. We enjoyed the on site amenities; utilized the Sauna every morning during our stay, the Indoor and outdoor pools, jacuzzis. I also want to commend one employee in particular; Aaron. We had sat outside the first night by the fire pit (to enjoy some cigars) and he stopped by to assist us in starting the fire. We conversed with him and he genuinely appreciated his job and the opportunity with Wyndham. He was a very generous young man and a gentle, kind soul. Made that part of our evening even more enjoyable. I will definitely be coming back to Bentley Brook again. (But next time I'll book a Thursday through Sunday) as it can be challenging finding lunch and dinner options Mon-Wed.

My wife is from LI and grew up coming, so here I am. The nostaglia factor is huge here, and I don't have it. So to be fair all around, I'm noting what I have experienced and grading them on the food. Place is upstate ghetto, and I mean that in a good way. There is plenty to do, however most of it is comparable to a park. There is a swimming pool, pool slide, lake, boats, playground structures, pool, basketball, video games, shuffleboard and more. Lots of outdoor activities. The great thing is being with other families with young kids, and being able to drink with the other parents while the kids go off. They also do stuff like a hayride--no hay included, just a dude speeding in a pickup truck on the country roads--a DJ night and a visit to a farm. They make the most of the area which is good. Accommodations are simple, however they have upgraded some of the rooms which has made it a lot better than it was. The food is better than it has any business being. All meals are 100% homemade, themed with 1 offering each, all you can eat, include dessert, and it is worth noting what is served on what day. The best by far is the roast beef, which is accompanied by german potatoes fried in bacon fat. They are superb, especially with some gravy and the rare roast beef. Thanksgiving is another good one, as are the homemade cold cuts. It doesn't always make sense, however have never had a 'bad' meal here. Even the baked ziti isn't bad. Always ask for the lemonade. Weirdest damn thing is they never have fries (not even at the lunch counter). Shakes at the lunch counter are superb though, as is the over buttered popcorn. I've grown to like coming here, and my son loves it. That's enough for me. Wish there was a brewery nearby or something instead of the stupid golf course, but such is life.

Adirondack chairs are placed around the property sit & sip coffee in the sunshine while breathing in the mountain air. Ahh love this area.

This may have been my best room service experience ever; having lived out of hotels that is saying…read moresomething. The building is really beautiful and at any other time we would have made use of the beautiful common spaces indoors and not just enjoyed our room and the grounds. The room was impeccably cleaned and staff were attentive to needs that came up during the visit. The absolute stand out was our room service meal set in front of the wood-burning fireplace in our room. They came up with a table, offered us options for chairs, had all of the food wrapped in plastic and covered in warming lids, but done in a way that did not interfere with even the delicate plating details. The portions were substantial and food quality was outstanding. They even provided gluten-free options that went above and beyond to accommodate an allergy. I wish I could give 4.5 because there were some minor areas for improvement, but I will round up given COVID was likely a contributing factor.

The downstairs public rooms are beautiful. " Although somebody followed me around where ever I went. You definitely feel they don't want you to sit in the rooms. It is "look but don't touch" just like a museum. If your looking to go to a lovely, charming, gracious hotel . Want to relax & be spoiled) for the weekend don't come here. The staff is obnoxious rude & pretentious. We arrived with are 2 Small Shitizs just as we had before. The hotel was aware we were bringing 2 service dogs.. First night they would not allow us in the dining room with dogs but they had no room for us to dine outside! They wanted us to sit alone in a room by ourselves & have dinner ! I objected. We finally agreed we would have dinner in the bar alone . At least it was part of the dining area. To get to the pool area you need to drive your car. They didn't like where my husband parked our car. No biggie. I think the Pool Boy could have handled it. All he had to do is ask us to move it. Next thing we know the manger of the Hotel comes to the pool standing over us suit & all. After announcing his titled he ordered my husband to move the car. It was definitely a reprimand for his bad behavior. Of course he moved the car. When we returned to our room there was a hand written note offering to serve us dinner in our room that evening. I called the desk to ask about this & was told this was a new thing they were offering ! We ate dinner in town that evening.. I could go on & on with our crimes & misdemeanors. I spoke to this TIGHT A.S JERK when we were checking out . I asked if the General Manger was available. He has a total passive aggressive personality. I expressed my disappointment about the weekend. He went through the list list & more of the above. Wait a minute , aren't I the quest. Isn't this his job ? Doesn't it come with the territory! If he was so disapproving of us he could have asked us to checkout. He didn't do that though. He wanted our $3900. He may not have like us but he liked our money.
