This review is for the Mountain Adventure Park - which really deserves its own Yelp site as it is distinctly different from a ski resort! I had low expectations given the reviews I'd read on this site and felt worried we'd be throwing money away. We bought tickets ahead of time for the discounted price but I didn't opt in because I figured I wouldn't want to participate in anything. I brought a book. And then 10 minutes after arriving I filled out the 2 page waiver form and handed the lovely people in the Welcome Center $69 in exchange for my all day wrist band. What value! I had such a fantastic time. I was overwhelmed by the knowledge and friendliness of the staff and the quality of the various attractions. I highly recommend going on a weekday in the summer as it was fairly empty and we didn't wait in line for anything. I was with a group of kids aged 12-16 and they all had a blast. But there are also plenty of options for young ones, including a trampoline bungee thing, a mini ropes course, and the mountain coaster and alpine slide. I saw parents riding the alpine slide with toddlers on their laps and it looked really fun. Both the slide and coaster involve long (slow) rides up the mountainside, but the views are beautiful and it's a lot nicer sitting on a chairlift in the summer than in the winter! The slide has two courses so you can go side by side with someone, and you can control the speed, just like on the coaster. There were so many people working and it was very safe, from getting on and off the chair lift to getting on the slide and learning how everything works. Note that if you're being silly and recklessly speeding on the slide you will get hurt. Like, baaaaadly bruised. (Not hurt enough for immediate medical attention, thankfully.) So, heed the warnings of the staff and don't do it. Instead, opt for the adventure of a lifetime on the ropes course. It was AMAZING. There were so many very competent and thoughtful people working there and it was really safe. It was scary, of course, but I never felt like "oh shoot this harness is going to break" or "geez, when was the last time they checked the ladder on this thing." In fact, they were actively repairing some elements on one of the courses (which unfortunately meant one of the courses was closed). There were some moments where you could get stuck or make the wrong guess about what to do next and it seemed like magic that someone on the ground in their bright vest would shout up some good advice. It was definitely an adventure with lots of zip lines and multiple stories off the ground. The staff carefully put you into your harness and then give a very thorough overview of the safety protocol and how to clip in and out of things. I loved that there were so many course options. Lots of great challenges for people at all skill levels. Two other attractions I didn't do but others in my party raved about: a climbing wall and a zip line ride sort of thing for two people. There is a snack bar (and a tavern restaurant I didn't visit) right next to the action and the allergy-friendly options were plentiful! Including Ben and Jerry's ice cream cups, so zero cross contamination worry. The bathrooms are in the welcome center and were clean with a baby changing table. No complaints. It was a super fun day, I highly recommend it, and I thought it was great value for the money. read more

The mountain is not too small and not too large so perfect for families with kids. Affordable to actually stay on the mountain which is a must with little ones. Christiansens is a solid restaurant with good food and great beer with the perfect ski mountain atmosphere. The snowmaking team (Team Snowmagedon) knows what they are doing. While other mountains north or nearby are struggling, Jiminy has the good snow. They do well to combat the elements or rain or warmer weather. We always have a great time!! read more

A decent skiing mountain, but definitely on the pricey side. We went with the 3-to-close ticket, which was $67--significantly higher than the $30 range we've experienced at other resorts. No discount for Wyndham owners Unfortunately, many trails were closed the night we went, leaving limited skiing options. To be fair, this was likely due to the conditions at the time. The mountain itself is decent , and it's incredibly convenient if you're staying at the Wyndham. Being a ski-in/ski-out resort with access to ski lockers is a big perk, making it a solid choice for Wyndham guests. However, for the cost and limited trail availability, it might not be the best value if you're coming from elsewhere. One thing to note: even if you buy your tickets online , you still have to go to the ticket counter to pick up your RFID badge. This felt inconvenient, especially since we were staying at the Wyndham and wanted to ski on directly from the resort. We had the opportunity to stay at JP for over a month while house hunting and eventually escrow. We're finally leaving today. The staff here could not be nicer. They are so accommodating and friendly. I can seriously say that is what I'll miss the most. JP is a bit off the beaten path, so for longer term residents like us, it was a bit challenging. But it was the little things like coffee every morning and afternoon made it special. I do want to point out one special staff person that went above and beyond is Adriane. She always made sure we were taken care of and even if there wasn't (usually nothing because the place is run so well) she was always up for a good laugh. Sometimes there is that one person that you just connect with, and for us it was her. I'll miss JP for that reason, but I'll admit I'm looking forward to our new home. JP was a great place to help get us relocated though. Thanks to everyone we've encountered over our 6 weeks. You've ALL been great. read more

This mountain is TERRIBLE!!! Don't waste your money. It has nothing to do with the conditions. There's snow, fine. The lifts are so terrible. The Berkshire Express is the only new lift here. It's the only detachable lift. All the other lifts are so old it's ridiculous. They just slam into your legs at full speed. Do they know it's 2026 now and not 1985? How about sitting on a piece of plywood? That's what you get here. After spending $120 for one day, I can't believe what their lifts are like. The back of my knees are aching because there's no padding and the plywood cuts into the back of your knees. I could only do one run after lunch due to how uncomfortable the lifts are. My kids are having the same issue. Total dump in the lift department. Where is all the money going? This place needs to either upgrade or close down. WTF I can think of a ton of other ski mountains that are way better and more affordable. Like any other mountain actually. I'm never coming back here and I DO NOT recommend this mountain to anyone. Not sure what changed in terms of who runs this or what but it was definitely disappointing, especially after traveling like two hours to go to it and talking it up to my friends. Friends went for skiing and we tagged along just to look around in the resort. Beautiful slope run view past the ski village. The village has cafe, restaurant, lodge and shops that everyone could enjoy. We had a wonderful time during the short stay. We saw how organized the staff in accommodating skiers to get in and start the day. Friends enjoyed the various slopes trail and its ski lift as storied when we meet up afterwards. Amazing how the resort thought of its ski pass scannable even it is inside the pocket. The pass each one of our friends had was the 4 hr which is averagely reasonable for the price and time limit is good enough. Beautiful resort. Will cine bs I for summer adventure. read more

I'm a novice skier. Loved my experience at Jiminy Peak. Lots of great runs and every lift has one or more fairly easy ways down the mountain. The easier runs tend to be extra beautiful, as they are long and tree-lined. Signage is clear. Lots of nice touches like tissues for your sniffles at the lifts. The equipment rental was especially good. Quality equipment, very efficient operations, and competent staff. The hotel is comfortable enough, though its age shows. Some maintenance issues, but serviceable for a ski weekend. The food facilities were quite good and not as overpriced as some resorts. read more

My family was looking into booking rooms for a reunion in June 2024. We spent time on the phone discussing the available options for rooms, meals and activities. We also discussed cancellations and charges for these which seemed standard. They mailed us a contract to sign which included huge amounts of financial liability for cancellations beginning in 2/24. Fortunately having an attorney in the family who reviewed the document first, we did not sign it on his advice. We wasted a good deal of time including one family member going to visit the site. Had a wonderful time here with friends. Skii for beginners and pros as well as kids. Instructors are hit or miss but overall good experience. John Harvard's restaurant is on the 3rd floor and food is nice. Just prepare yourselves for longer waiting to be seated and for food to come in. Also, skii village is amazing but bit higher on $$ side. If you are on the budget, then make sure to use all the amenities in your rooms to save money on food. We didn't use it too much. Went here for a visit in the summer so we got a great rate on the room. They have a few pools and even a kiddie pool which was nice. The room was spacious and had all the amenities we needed. It absolutely beautiful from the outside. The inside was huge and the hallways reminded me of "The Shining" I thought a kid with a big wheel would Run me over at any second. They had a game room in the basement which provided good entertainment. You could walk through the compound and find tons of stuff to do, ropes course, playground, bounce house, and adults swing to name a few. We will definitely be back! read more

This place is a dump. Rooms need complete renovation and blown up. The set up of how the floors and room numbers are was confusing AF. Their little map is still confusing. Why have a room in the 200's on the basement floor ? Rooms need new paint and new decor. We're out of the early 90's people. Check out is 1030a. Was here for a wedding that started at 12 but we couldn't even pay for to stay in the room longer. Majority of the people that came, were harassed to leave when the old planner that was fired/quit said there could be a noon check out. There were a few dead moths by the window in the "living room" in my room and another girl had pictures of 2-3 what look like some type of dead fly/wasp in their bed. Ummm not okay ! However, The one star doesn't reflect the people working there. Everyone was very nice. Didn't have a salon as they peg themselves to be a "resort" that hosts weddings etc. But would never in my life make a trip back here. Maybe it could be a great resort if they did updating as it's right on the slope but really crusty. There seems to be a really nice Wyndham condos on property but not part of jiminy. I'd look in to that if interested on air bnb or vrbo for anyone looking to stay up this way ! read more

This review is for the Get Skiing program that they have for beginning skiers and not for any other aspect of Jiminy Peak. I was a tough customer, over 40, never skied and not in the best shape of my life My experience started out terrible but I ended with a smile on my face and having accomplished what I set out to do. I signed up for their "get" program along with several of my family members. This is the program for those who have no experience at all. When we got there we were directed to the "get" building and asked what our shoe size was. I have small feet but average sized legs. We got a quick lesson on putting on the ski boots. I had some trouble and was trying to assist my son at the same time. The boots were hurting my ankles and I asked if they had any wider boots. They said I would have to go to the main rental building but we were in a hurry and I didn't want to hold up my lesson group which included my family plus two others. By the time I finally got my skis the rest of the group was already outside starting to learn. The instructor had us jump and at that point I knew I couldn't stay in those boots as they cut off the circulation in my toes and the pain in my ankles was worse. I decided to go to the main building after all. By this time the tears were flowing because I felt like a failure already. The teen at the desk told me I had to go back to the "get" building but thank goodness I persisted and a kind gentleman understood my dilemma. I wish I had gotten his name. He went above and beyond for me. He helped me take off my painful boots and fitted me for a much more comfortable boot. These boots were also higher up the leg and felt sturdier while also being softer on the inside. He also took the time to readjust my skis for the new boots. I went back to where I thought my group was and they were gone. I thought about giving up at this point but finally saw a group member who flagged me over. My instructor, Cynthia came right over and got me up to speed with the rest of the group. She told me to dry my tears and become one with the mountain. She devoted a lot of time to me and had me follow right behind her on my first run down the bunny slope. Did I fall? You bet. I fell each time coming off the chair lift. I just couldn't master the quick butt tuck and ski that you need to get off smoothly in one short lesson. I got assisted up every time by the lift operator. My final run was my best though. I mastered the two kinds of stop that she taught me and my last stop was my best. The rest of my group were all satisfied with her instruction and did well. Props to Cynthia for her patience,persistence and teaching skill. My son also had a great experience with his instructor Rocco. He was entertaining but also a great teacher for him and the other kids his age. My 8 year old niece picked up skiing like a pro and enjoyed her teacher as well. My biggest complaint was the boots. Cynthia told me another woman earlier the same morning had the same issue as me. They should really have more sizes and variety of boots available for all body types in the "get" building. Make sure you arrive early to have plenty time to suit up if you've never skied. The bunny slope itself was well groomed and easy for us to learn on. The chair lift was just fine and I was the only one in our group with such "interesting" landings. They have an excellent rate for 2 more follow up lessons and equipment rental for just $100. I took advantage of that for my son but I think I'll be waiting for him by the bon fire, drink in hand next time. read more

I spent four days at Jiminy Peak Mountain Resort for a Summer-time family culture camp. I got to experience several aspects of the resort, so I feel that I can offer a comprehensive review of the product/services. Let's start off with the positives: Firstly, there are a lot of fun things that you can do here at Jiminy Peak. Top of my list was the Alpine Sleds! You pay $54 for a 6 pack of tickets (used for any attraction). Riders take a 10-11 minute chairlift up to the top of that section of the mountain, grab your own Alpine Sled, then go down a 1-2 minute ride (depending on how fast you like to go). The ride is FUN, packed with twists and turns. You kinda feel like you were in the Olympis competingin the bobsled race. Other attractions include trampolene-bungee jumping, ziplines, large swings (where they lift your chair up via pulley and let you go), go-cart(ish) racing, etc. (HINT: We were told that if you hike up the mountain yourself, you can take a ride down the Alpine Slide for free! Several people of our group did it and it worked!) Secondly, the scenery is beautiful in the summer. The grounds are well-kept and beautiful. Beautiful scenery OK - where do I begin with the downfalls of this place? I'll be brief on all my comments from here. First and top of the list for negatives is the FOOD! Our group of about 120 kids and 150 adults ate 3 meals a day here - breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I can say that out of 8 or 9 meals at the main dining hall, I ended up throwing away most of my food. I don't waste food, but it was bad. Everything from breakfast eggs, hash browns, egg-cheese muffins, to lunch tacos, to dinner pizzas and spaghetti - it was all made pretty bad (burnt, tasteless, poor quality, etc). One night, the restaurant tried to make a specialty dinner of spicy Thai Shrimp, sweet sour beef, and stir fried noodles. The receptionists and restaurant staff members were wonderful! But, the employees who worked the outdoor attractions had tons of attitude and were grumpy. My fourth dissapointment was the cleanliness of the pools. In the main pool of this resort (there are three pools), the water was some kind of milky white color and not clear. It looked a bit dirty - perhaps it was the sunscreen of all the kiddos? Nonetheless, the filtration system must have been pretty weak. There are other points that I could complain about, but enough belly-aching. I think you get the point. My friends and I were actually hoping for a great time at this resort. We just with the standards and quality are higher. My friends and I were super excited to learn that the restaurant/bar offered a flight tasting-set of their home-made beers. It cost you $10 for a 7 taster set. Our bartender threw in 1 additional taster for free! Four of us split the taster set. Four of us did not like any of the 8 sampled beers. It was a dissapointment, since all of us enjoy a fun beer and would have gladly patronized the bar. Super fun mountain very happy to spend Super Bowl weekend here. Conditions were good and the mountain is beautiful and well maintained. For a Sunday/Monday stay the trails were pretty open. There were barley any waits for the 4 or 6 person lifts. Pro shop is pricy. Massachusetts. Law requires leashes on snowboards and there are several signs that say so. However no one enforced that law. I visited from Long Island and the trio too exactly 3 hour with no stops. The country store has a five dollar credit card minimum so be prepared for that in case you want to just get a coffee. read more

En route, we encountered a thunderstorm so we decided to stop by The Berkshires, since we've never been. These "apartments" are great and spacious. They have their own kitchens and are comfortable. It was a great one night stay for us. The resort has a restaurant next door, walkable grounds, a convenient store across the way and a beautiful view of the mountains. It was lovely to cozy up in the rain and our view of the wooded area made for an easy slumber. Rob is the most racist human being that works at Jiminy Peak. He discriminated against me. But then also a lady that runs the kid program discriminating against me too much. let's talk about Rob. He personally told people in his department. His assistant manager he told her I do not wanna hire him and she told me this past summer. When we work together Rob told me he don't wanna hire you. And she told me he is extremely races. But then another lady in his department told me the same thing a younger woman. So please don't get fooled minorities just because they hire other people for minority countries to come work there for a little bit. Because most people they hide from other countries, don't speak English good at all so this, please is not the best place to work and they mess up your paycheck all the time they mess up my paycheck seven times since I work there in the last 2 1/2 years. Great ski resort for the entire family. I think I may have forgotten to check in on Yelp, LOL. Was conserving my battery on the mountain. I came for the start of President's week and it was busy (no surprise), returned yesterday, 2/20/18. The slopes were plenty and the lifts were all open ... Lots to choose from as well for all levels of skiers or snow boarders. My two kids (ages 8 & 11) loved the lower mountain lifts and really got their groove on once the crowds started to clear up. Most people ski during the early morning, 8am-2pm. Come 2pm and on, you'll beat a lot of the crowds. Stay for the night ski and you'll definitely have access to most of the trails without crowds. By 4pm-6pm, we had no line for the Jiminy Cricket trail. The 180 slope was also moving very quickly. What I loved most were the ticket options: lower mountain for the younger kids, all access for everyone else, 4 hours or 8 hours and the clock doesn't start until you get on the first lift (RFID cards for easy access). While I do miss the souvenir hang tags, the RFID is out of sight, out if mind. As long as you have it on your person in the strike zone area, you're good to go. Note: if you're a first time skier or still beginner, stay in the lower mountain. You'll have access to three things: magic carpet, Jiminy Cricket, or the 180. Two are lifts, just not high up the mountain, excellent for newbies. Jiminy Peak also offers lots to do outside of skiing. If you stay at the Wyndam Resorts or Vacation Village, you're super close. Practically ski in and ski out. We didn't stay here but saw some of the amenities ... Kids entertainment (magician, arts and crafts, movies), outdoor heated pool, hot tub just steps from the Jiminy Cricket lift. And they have a super cool Mountain Coaster, great for all ages (there are restrictions for the wee ones or height challenged, so check when you buy). And it's open rain or shine! You can ride up to speeds of 30 mph, best part is you choose your speed! There's also lots of food options: Tavern on site, fancier sit down restaurant, two casual dining spots (JJ Lodge or Crane) and a cafe just for coffee/tea/sweets. Overall a very nice ski resort and well laid out. It's up there with Okemo but way closer, only a three hour drive from NYC. read more

Trying to book online. Literally worst website ever to try and book lessons - they offer lessons that then aren't available as a Web option to book. Booking private lessons - nope, good luck. When you call and choose the extension provided for booking lessons, plan to sit for 30 mins and then be connected to hotel front desk who then transfers you again. So frustrating!! We had an awesome time at the Mountain Adventure Park (MAP) on a recent weekday afternoon, and the only regret is we only left ourselves one hour of play time! Once we parked, the first order of business add to run to Paul Major Welcome Center and get our wristbands. Follow the directions to the play area which is less than 50 metres away, or just move in the direction of screams of fun and joy. ++ Mountain coaster: even better than expected, the coaster here had the longest line of people of all the rides at the park, and we quickly found out why. They've done am awesome job of keeping the beautiful tall tree all around the tracks and, along with the smooth and wide turns and loops, made me feel like I see zipping through the forest in the middle of nowhere - thrilling! Alpine slide: my very first one, and possibly one of the most fun things I've done ever! The chairlift up to the launch point was an unexpected and amazing bonus, and it ran for more than 10 minutes. Once we got to the top we grabbed our slide, laid it down and sat ourselves in our respective tracks, then off we went racing. Brake was easy to control, tracks were super smooth and loooong, and there were a few dips where I was supposed to slow down that added to the fun Staff here were generally friendly and helpful, and again, it was such s shame that we only had one hour at the park. My fiancé and I made a reservation to stay at Jiminy Peak Resort for two nights in mid September for a wedding. We do an awful lot of traveling and we were pleasantly surprised at the prices when booking this resort. We were able to secure our reservation easily online with the wedding code. They took out one night right away and charged us for the second night a few days before our stay. They advertise as a 3 PM check in and they got us into our room around 2 PM. I had made a note on the reservation that we would love a corner king room and that accommodation was granted for us. We had a beautifully spacious room with a living room, kitchen, two bathrooms, and separate bedroom with the vanity area. We had a beautiful view of the property as well. There is a lot going on at this resort. Of course it's known for its skiing but even over the summer and early fall they have an adventure pack that you can reserve that includes all kinds of rides like zip lining, a rope course, and the mountain climbing ride which we rode. Since it was mid September, they had all kinds of haunted houses and scary rides available, too. We took advantage of one of the rides and it was so much fun. This place is great for kids and adults and a wonderful place to bring the family. On the day of the wedding, we were able to take the chairlift up to the mountain where the ceremony was held. That included a breathtaking view of the mountains complete with fall foliage and view of Western MA. The check-in and check-out process was seamless and every staff member we encountered was kind and helpful. There was much reference to the place being a blast from the past, even referred to as the place from the movie "Hot Tub Time Machine. Be ready for a lot of the technology to take you way back including the fitness center weights and equipment, the telephones in the bedroom, and even the computers you use to sign a waiver before you ride a ride. The amenities on the property include an outdoor pool and hot tub, an indoor hot tub, a fitness center, complimentary parking with a permit you get when you check in, and several dining options on site. They had the John Hancock's bar and restaurant, one night I got a delicious salad with salmon on it. That night we felt awful because the bar and restaurant was highly understaffed. Knowing that there was a wedding party upstairs they probably could've been better prepared for that. That night after we left our table our leftovers were sitting on the table for three hours later. We were joking about it but that's how busy they were. Also, they have a Country Marketplace where you can purchase food, alcohol, coffee, and gift store items. Overall, there was not anything negative that I could say about this stay. It was a beautiful wedding, we loved the accommodations, amazing price, and it was a beautiful time to go there. read more

There's so much to do here it's awesome. Came here for a long weekend trip with the family and stayed at the attached Wyndham Bentley Brook. Even if skiing isn't your thang, there's snowshoeing its great for families with young ones, they have ski/ snow board lessons and for the bunny slope you don't need a lift ticket read more

We arrived here the day of the March 2018 blizzard. Skiing was spectacular! We had powder in the Northeast! We stayed at the Wyndham resort that had ski in and ski out of the Jimminy Peak slopes. That was very convenient. I am a beginner skier and ended up on a double diamond slope. I think that the easy slopes should be marked better. I was able to make it down, not without a few falls. The village were you rent skis and get tickets was quaint and well designed. There is a small grocery store on the grounds. It was expensive but convenient if you forget to bring something essential. The ski patrol was helpful, especially to a beginner like me. We purchased the discount card that covered the expense of your first day skiing and gave you discounts all season. I look forward to coming here again in the future. read more

This review is for the Aerial Adventure Park and Mountain Adventure Park as I've never been here in the winter for skiing. When I first started coming here years ago, there were only the Alpine Slides and the Aerial Adventure Park. This was the first ziplining/adventure course my son and I ever experienced, and we loved it! We came back year after year until ziplining courses finally started popping up in CT, where we live. (I guess I shouldn't hide the fact that my son is now too old to want to hang out with me, so ziplining with mom isn't high on his priority list anymore.) :( Anyway, since we began coming here, they've added several attractions and it makes this place even better, and we have nothing like it in CT. In addition to the alpine slides for which you take a ski lift to the top, there's a great Mountain Coaster that starts at the bottom and takes you up the mountain in your own little cart, which you control on the way down. You push down on the lever to go faster, and lift up to brake, so if you're a thrill seeker you hold it all the way down, and if you're not or you have a little one with you you can go a bit slower, whatever you're comfortable with. I came here alone one day this summer and had an absolutely fabulous time. It was a bit overcast so it looked like rain was looming, but it never actually appeared. I'm guessing it was the weather that made it rather empty on this day, so I didn't have to wait for anything! It was amazing! I did my two hours on the zipline course and got to go on the mountain coaster and alpine slide about 10 times each, without waiting! It was also a weekday and there was a special this day for the combo pass, which I knew because I'm on their email list. You can either pay for just the 2 hours in the Aerial Adventure Park or the Mountain Adventure Park or a combo of both. I can't wait to go back again and this will continue to be one of the things I'm sure to do when I'm up at Vacation Village in the Berkshires in the summer. read more
