We've been customers at Bermuda Triangle Aquatics for the past five years, relying on them for everything our aquarium needed, live rock, water, fish, supplements, you name it. Our tank ran flawlessly for years, a stable 36-gallon saltwater setup that we maintained meticulously with no issues whatsoever. That all changed when, after 2.5 years without adding any new fish or livestock, we decided to purchase one from their store. Not long after introducing it to our quarantined system, the new fish brought in Ich, contaminating the entire tank. We lost two healthy, long-term fish as a result. Nothing else had been added to the tank in over two years, so the source was unmistakably clear, this fish from Bermuda Triangle. I get it, diseases can slip through in this hobby sometimes, and we're experienced enough to know the risks. But we reached out to the owner politely, asking if he'd consider even a small concession, just a few dollars off to help offset the cost of replacing the lost fish. We weren't demanding free replacements or a full refund; just some goodwill gesture for loyal customers. After a lengthy phone call, he adamantly refused any kind of help or accountability. It was shocking, the owner is a piece of work, showing zero willingness to stand behind his sales. There are far better, more reputable options out there, like stores in Hixson or reliable online suppliers who actually care about customer satisfaction. Skip Bermuda Triangle for anything live; the risk of introducing diseased fish to your tank isn't worth it. Weak ownership and poor service--1 star only because of our past purchases. I see a review mentioning how difficult the staff was and immediately thought of the two separate occasions on which the staff and owner separately went out of their way to help me stock my planted tank- at no cost. I don't forget nice gestures like that and have never had an issue with any of their FW fish or staff. I cannot vouch for their salt but will say they have some VERY unique and rare breeds in both FW and SW. I'd recommend that buyers first check to see what pH their water is currently at, compared to any given store's, and acclimate them to your tank's pH by slowly filling the floating bag with water over the course of an hour (or more). Turn your lights off first, of course. Then decant store water with fish, thru net, and gently place into your tank. Acclimation for salt water fish is similar, look it up. *HINT HINT* Shrimp are extremely sensitive to salinity in both FW and SW (see "osmosis"). Use the right tools to match salinity, particulate matter, and other parameters to give them a fair chance. Otherwise you may as well chuck em' on the grill. Alternatively, you can blame a small business owner for killing your fish ...that you had for three months and died while you were on "vacation" after they helped you for free (seriously??) and go shop at Petco, Walmart, or Petsmart. There you can be almost 100% certain that their concentration camp standards of care are to blame and not have to worry about being wrong because they simply don't care or know better. Bought two cleaning shrimp($40/ea) and two anemones yesterday, nothing else in my salt water tank that's been cycling for 3 months, aside from live rock. The tanks levels are all great. Less than 24hours and one of the cleaning shrimps is dead. I called and they were unwilling to swap out for a living one. What a waste of 40$ plus tax. It would make sense if everything else died in the tank as well. But when it's obvious that the shrimp they gave me sucks and died already, you would think they would be willing to trade. They've lost my business and I just started with a shrimp, didn't even buy fish from them yet smh! read more

This is probably the best place to get aquarium fish in the area. The fish are all well taken care of and healthy. They offer a 24 hour guarantee on fresh water fish (given that you bring them a water sample from your aquarium). They do this because they care about the fish they sell and don't want to keep giving fish to someone who may have a cesspool of an aquarium. They've also taken some fish that I had when I was moving and found homes for them. The prices are a little high but you get what you pay for. read more

Bermuda triangle has a large variety of both fresh water and salt water fish. The staff is all very helpful and friendly. They offer lay away on their tanks and most of the guys working there will even deliver them to your house if you ask them too. They occasionally the get in some beautiful hard to find fish at very decent prices. Over all this is one of my favorite stops that I frequent on the weekends, and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get into keeping and raising fish. read more

Mixed bag. Initially I was very impressed with this store. We had a very sick fish, and they helped us nurse it back to health by keeping it in a quarantine tank for us and treating it with medication. Fast forward 3 months later we were out of town, and when we returned we found several of our fish had died in the same tank. We took a water sample to Bermuda Triangle for a water test and the guy in there said there was nothing they could do. They wouldn't test the water, and refused to help out even though we were the only customer in the store. There are better options around here, including an especially friendly, knowledgeable, and cost friendly store called Fish Mania in East Ridge. We went there after dealing with this joker, they solved the problem, we bought the right medication and saved the rest of the fish in this tank. We will not be returning to Bermuda Triangle. read more

Way overpriced and no guarantee. I don't think so. I am moving to Chattanooga and decided to check out the local saltwater fish stores. Bermuda Triangle popped up on Google first so I went and looked around. The first thing I noticed were the signs everywhere saying there is no guarantee on saltwater fish at all. This is ridiculous. Everywhere I have shopped in the last 20 years of being in the hobby has had some kind of guarantee. It might only be 48 hours but that's better than nothing. Even the online sellers offer a 14 day arrive alive stay alive guarantee. Which brings me to the next problem.. This place is incredibly overpriced. It's cheaper to buy online even after shipping. Bermuda Triangle's prices are some of the highest I've ever seen. They had a Harlequin Tusk priced at $250!! HaHa!! I just purchased a beautiful flame angel (with a guarantee), from my local fish store for $50. This place has their's priced at $90. I hope this isn't the norm for Chattanooga. I don't like buying online but if other places in town are like this I will have no choice. read more

Everything was fine in my tank and had been for months until I bough a group of Tetras from this place. Since introducing them into the tank i have lost them and about 20 other of my fish. Bermuda T. has some infected fish and I will never buy from them again....they also need to work on customer service and being pleasant. read more
