It's tradition for my daughters and I to go out to breakfast on Mother's Day prior to going to church. We got here about 5 minutes after they opened and there was already a line inside! Very popular place! The line moved quickly and we placed our order at the register. They call your name when your order is ready and my daughters were kind enough to go pickup everything. There's tables inside and outside and we chose the large corner booth inside. It's very clean and roomy inside with minimal decor. The owner brought over cookies for the moms, and brought out cups of iced water for those who needed them. Great hospitality and service! I was tempted to get the Ube pancakes, but I had been eyeing the lilikoi French toast all week, so I went with that and a cappuccino. Also got a side of bacon and eggs. My oldest got the buttermilk pancakes and my youngest got the chocolate chip buttermilk pancakes and an iced matcha + honey with strawberry cold foam. Everything was wonderful! They make their own bread for their French toast and the passion fruit curd from scratch! Wow! So good! The strawberries were also super fresh. The bacon was cooked perfectly--nice and crispy! Really good portion sizes as well. We will definitely be back!

The pancakes were so buttery soft and the chilaquiles were just right not too spicy or watery. The staff is great giving us recommendations as it was our first time here and there is plenty of sitting space. We will def be back!

Fantastic local bakery in Upland! No nonsense simple shop. You walk in, pick bread and leave…read more Service is pretty good. The cashier helped me decide on a couple loaves after I told them what I was making. Super helpful. It took a second to get their attention and it seems the bakers are fully focused on bread but can't complain when the bread is great! Service 8/10. Food: Sourdough round. Theirs is a softer crust, dense crumb sourdough. It's thick, chewy, and carries a good tang. Don't expect an airy and glutenous dough but expect a darn tasty one. 9/10. Cranberry walnut round. A weekend special apparently. It is delicious, carrying the same tang from the regular loaf, a thicker crust, and a ridiculous amount of both walnut and cranberry. It is not a shy loaf. Basically sourdough+ 9/10. Cheddar Jalapeño bagel. Duuuuuude what in the world. Okay get off your high horse once you get here from the east coast. This bagel does not have the same crust and chew. But it is a great item. It does have a great chew on the exterior, snappy and bouncy. The dough is perfectly fluffy. And the taste. The taste! I'm didn't need any spreads and didn't last the drive home. Didn't even remember to snag a picture till it was nearly gone. FULL of cheddar and jalapeño flavor. Highly recommend.

Delicious breads, bagels, & more. They bake for all the quality eating places I already frequent. Hint: go early (they open at 7:00 a.m.) They sell out fast of some of their specialty baked goods. But typically have breads until closing (at noon.) Weekends offer a special treat with more unusual breads. Say hi to the friendly counter helper Cindy while you are there! Tell her Chris sent you!

Ridiculously yummy!…read more Been here several times for their loaves of bread, scones, and cookies! For the bread, I've been enjoying their cinnamon raisin recently, but they are known for their different sourdoughs! Rosemary sourdough is a good one, but the cheddar sourdough has been pretty great with some garlic butter! You can also request the loaves to be sliced! For their scones, these are not your regular scones. They're as soft as a cookie, but there is still some density to it where a cup of coffee or tea would be a great addition. It's a pretty substantial scone, and I'm pretty full with just that and a drink. Chocolate scone has been my go-to. For cookies, the golden raisin oatmeal one is probably our favorite, followed by the snickerdoodle! Staff has been nice and accommodating! No issues here. Very clean store! It's a very popular bakery, and they can run out of goods before midday. Highly recommend to get here early. Plenty of spaces in the parking lot during the weekend, typically!

I saw The Rustic Loaf and was intrigued. Walked in and loved the look of the shop and smell of the bread. The guy helping me was really nice and answered all my questions. He gave some great recommendations, but since I came so late they were out of a lot of bread. I kept it simple and got a sourdough loaf and they slice it in shop which is so convenient! I definitely want to try their lemon rosemary bread he mentioned. Bummed it was sold out, but he said you can call ahead and they can place it on hold for you, so that's really great to know. The bread I did get was delicious, I really enjoyed it. Love how local the Rustic Loaf is because I plan on coming back and getting some more of their bread.
