Ridiculously yummy! Been here several times for their loaves of bread, scones, and cookies! For the bread, I've been enjoying their cinnamon raisin recently, but they are known for their different sourdoughs! Rosemary sourdough is a good one, but the cheddar sourdough has been pretty great with some garlic butter! You can also request the loaves to be sliced! For their scones, these are not your regular scones. They're as soft as a cookie, but there is still some density to it where a cup of coffee or tea would be a great addition. It's a pretty substantial scone, and I'm pretty full with just that and a drink. Chocolate scone has been my go-to. For cookies, the golden raisin oatmeal one is probably our favorite, followed by the snickerdoodle! Staff has been nice and accommodating! No issues here. Very clean store! It's a very popular bakery, and they can run out of goods before midday. Highly recommend to get here early. Plenty of spaces in the parking lot during the weekend, typically! read more

I was in the area to try the new coffee shop next door and decided instead of waiting in the long time I'll kill some time and see what else is in this shopping center. I saw The Rustic Loaf and was intrigued. Walked in and loved the look of the shop and smell of the bread. The guy helping me was really nice and answered all my questions. He gave some great recommendations, but since I came so late they were out of a lot of bread. I kept it simple and got a sourdough loaf and they slice it in shop which is so convenient! I definitely want to try their lemon rosemary bread he mentioned. Bummed it was sold out, but he said you can call ahead and they can place it on hold for you, so that's really great to know. This place is amazing...been coming here for years, with a few long breaks in between, but every time I've gotten bread, it's been consistently delicious. Fortunately (or unfortunately?), my facial gal is in the same center as this place, so it's easy to slide on over when I'm done, but I can never seem to decide on just one loaf, and usually leave with 2-3. I've had Roasted Garlic, Rosemary Lemon, Jalapeno Jack, Apricot Pecan, Cranberry Jalapeno, and probably a few more that I'm forgetting right now. They were all very yummy and freeze well. There were so many options to choose from, affordable prices, and he even cuts it for you so it's easy to stick in the freezer. Although they don't sell at farmers markets anymore, their bread is always a hit. The lemon rosemary is soft and flavorful, and a special on Saturday mornings so call ahead or pre-order cause they sell out. The service is friendly and quick. Plus they cut the bread if you want it cut. read more

But I just couldn't stand the owner afterwhile...He showed his true mean colors...basically he's uppity, not friendly and thinks he's the best and his shit don't stink...He acts like he doesn't even like working there or the customers.... A hidden little gem to pick up some freshly baked goods. I came in late in the afternoon and there were a few cookies, snickerdoodles, oatmeal, chocolate chips and dark chocolate cherry. The loaves of bread include rye, sourdough, cranberry walnut, and more. I picked up one dark chocolate cherry cookie. The consistency is like cake. There are moist chewy cherries inside. They are super moist and a dark chocolate flavor. It was good but I prefer a crunchy old fashion type cookie. I also picked up a loaf of walnut cranberry bread. So goooood! They would get 5 stars with longer hours and more product, but the latter is pretty hit or miss if you aren't there early for the selection of bread baked that day. Best bread in the region! I've frequented this bakery since it opened and although I don't buy bread regularly I always buy for special occasions or when I crave a great bread. On Thursday 4/17 I called to preorder bread for pickup today Saturday 4/19. The lady on the phone was pleasant and helpful. I went in this morning close to 10 am to pickup my bread. There was a woman & her father getting bread and we chatted about butter. There was only one young man attending to customers. As I waited another couple came in. Shortly after a lady in purple came from the back & immediately got bread from the preorder area & began to help the customers that came in after me. I let the woman know that I was next but she really didn't seem to care. She then got my bread & began to say something about not taking preorders. I asked why this wasn't told to me when I called on Thursday. She then began to reprimand me in front of everyone saying I had a bad attitude and it was Easter and there was beautiful bread blah blah blah. First of all when she appeared from the back & saw 6 people waiting her first reaction should've been to ask who was next. Second of all the whole preorder bs should've been explained at the time of payment as an FYI. She continued her telling me I had a bad attitude. Needless to say I left the bread and as long as that woman works there I will buy bread somewhere else as I don't not need to be humiliated by someone in that manner. She has no idea what is happening in my life and just how hard it has been for me to get out of bed each day let alone leave the house. Who is she to criticize me in the manner she did? She needs to know not everyone can be Mary Sunshine. It's unfortunate she acted this way and humiliated me in front of others because I love your bread and love to support local business. Very bad service I placed an order on Wednesday for a cranberry jalapeño loaf of bread for Friday pick up. I drive all the way from Glendora to this location to pick it up in the morning to be told that it's not gonna be ready till tomorrow and not even an apology just that his employee didn't know it's only baked on certain days. I've been coming here for so long... I'm not quite sure how I never posted a review. I buy from here at least once a week. I also purchase and gift to my neighbors as well. My favorite loaves are Rosemary Lemon, Miche and Jalapeno Jack. You can have it whole... or you can have them slice it for you. This bakery is also at the Sunday Claremont Farmer's Market... just in case you can't make it on Saturday before they close you can always ask if they will bring your loaf to the Market and you pick it up there. I was looking for real sourdough bread in the area because you really can't find any at the markets and I stumbled upon this place. The Rustic Loaf has become a staple in my household and I look forward to coming in and picking up some bread. I have tried the cranberry walnut, cinnamon raisin, mieche, apricot pecan, and country sourdough loaf. All amazing but I can't live without the apricot pecan and their mieche. This bread doesn't leave me feeling lethargic or bloated. It's the real deal. I also love to give the mieche as a gift not only because it's incredible taste and texture but it's also such a beautiful loaf. Also recommend their scones and cookies. I've never found a scone I liked before trying theirs. Even my dad stops in during the week now because he's hooked. Not to mention the customer service. Always look forward to a chat with the owner and he really gets to know his customers. He always seems to know how to make my day and I appreciate how he takes care of his customers. I had been eyeing this place for quite some time till I finally decided to stop by and let me say I will be returning, so I'm a big baguette lover so that's why I originally stopped by, I arrived in the am like 830ish and I was told to come back at 12pm for fresh baguette so I returned and I not only grabbed my baguette I grabbed a rustic pride and he sliced it for me it was hot right out the oven !!
