But as soon as you drive in becareful it is one way in the same way out. A lot of young kids come here to play in the Molalla River. It is a one-way once you come in. The bathrooms are within walking distance, but driving distance (again one way) is another way to go. The bathrooms were clean and 2 available. There are picnic areas and a good little walk/hike around the park. We met my nieces up at the lake to soak up some sun and spend some time together. Great place for teaching, skipping rocks, or catching and releasing tadpoles! My sons first experience, and he got really good. I've been informed that this place gets super packed when school is put for summer, and there are a handful of kids around. I also saw them riding boogie boards and a kayak. There was a family who came down to fish but didn't seem like they caught anything. The water is super cold until your body gets used to it. Definitely recommend flip-flops. Rocks are a bit rough in the feet!

With my…read morecane, I was able to make my way through the gravel and the dirt trails easily and take in the beautiful wildflowers of spring. In April, the prairie area is filled with deep blue camas, and a few white ones sprinkled in. In mass, they paint the prairie blue. Up close, you can see the intricate detail, petals in shades of blue and even purple, with bright yellow eyes in each flower. They are one of my faves! As you leave the sunny prairie, you are instantly in a shady patch of forest and feel far away from the city, even though you are not. Birds chirping is nature's music as you wander the various loops and check out wildflowers nestled under the trees. I spotted Star of Bethlehem, Wild Geranium, Saskatoon, False Solomon's Seal, Field Sorrel, Prairie Mallow, Woodland Violet, and some common daisy. There are benches along the way if you need a rest or just want to stop and breath in the luxury of being in this little magical place. Along the north side, there are views of the Williamette River. In addition to the trails which are off to the right, there is a playground with a basketball court, swings, slides and play gym, all of which were in use this weekday. There is also a decent bathroom, which is very much appreciated. This park is at the end of a neighborhood where the streets are narrow. As you navigate up through the hills, be aware that children are playing. Before the park there is a dirt area for cars and if you go just a little further, a small paved parking area for about 8 cars with one designated handicap spot. This is a fabulous neighborhood park that welcomes visitors like me. April is the perfect time to visit if you want to see the beautiful fields of camas.

The park is…read moreimmaculate except for (the unavoidable) goose poop and, during most of the year, you'll often see park personnel maintaining the grounds consistently. We usually walk the little wooded/paved trail, then through the Willamette River path. We, typically, run into other dog owners and dog-friendly people who enjoy petting our very friendly doodle. With few exceptions, everyone adheres to the, clearly posted, on-leash rule. There are 2 doggy clean-up bag dispensers and dog-owners are extremely mindful about keeping the park super clean. The overall vibe is really pleasant and people of all ages enjoy this place - including lots of teens. If you, or someone you know, has mobility issues, there are wooden benches located on most of the walking paths. On any given day, you'll see people pausing to rest a bit or just enjoying a visit with friends. There is a sheltered structure located in the middle of the park. The surrounding tables and chairs are great for picnics and you can reserve the entire area for private parties. The rest rooms are clean for a public park which I truly appreciate.

If you want to get closer to the water, there are boat ramps you can walk down and a pier lookout. As you meander, you will come across several sculptures and art stones that tell the history of the river. And a Veterans Memorial and a water feature for the kids to play in on hot days. Always lots of people walking their dogs. There is a lovely picnic area with several tables and chairs under a vine covered pergola. For coverage from the rain or sun, there is a large A-frame structure next to it that also has lots of tables, chairs and even a fireplace. You can reserve this area for gatherings through Lake Oswego. We came her to celebrate Mother's Day and a friends birthday, needing to be outside since the two guests of honor recently had Covid. Even though they were three weeks out, we didn't want to take chances so held our celebration here. There was plenty of space for us to be together yet separate. Lots of garbage cans everywhere making it easy to clean up afterwards. In the summer Foothills Park is part of the Concerts in the Park series which I absolutely love! The concerts attract a lot of people so we always come early to get a parking spot and claim our space on the lawn. Lots of families picnicking and kids playing. It's a wonderful way to spend a summer evening! The concerts were cancelled in 2020 & 2021 but we are looking forward to having them resume in 2020. Located just a few blocks from downtown Lake Oswego, Foothills Park is just lovely.

Mikayla and Nikki were extremely helpful and made our ride very fun. They are very knowledgeable and helped us get into sync. Nate took care of our parents in the other boat. Nate was extremely helpful, entertaining, and educated about his craft. We were very amazed and grateful that he took care of our parents so well. This was an unforgettable experience and we will definitely recommend Energ kayaks to others. Nate even took pictures of us that we were very happy with!

This park is really hard to find- I only found it on the Chehalem Park & Recreation's website,…read morethough it does have a Google Maps location. Even on Alltrails, the trail does not show up on GIS- so I don't know if the trail is fairly new, or if this park is just super obscure. Anyway, it was a pleasant surprise since I was looking for a relatively short hike with some elevation gain. I recorded about 130 feet of gain in under a mile- not a ton, but a minor workout and a potential good spot to go back up and down for training. There is a playground, basketball court and the aforementioned trail. What I will say is that the views from the top of the hill are amazing- the trail is really well maintained and you can see out onto the valley for miles. Unfortunately, there aren't any facilities such as restrooms, but there is a nice water fountain. If you live in the area, this is a good place to take kids to play on the playground or shoot some hoops. The trail is fine too, though I likely won't come back for it since it's short and not terribly impressive.

In return, we give back: annual trash pickups, painting over graffiti, planting native trees and shrubs, installing plaques, etc. It's a great partnership. We utilize the trails to ID plants, analyze water quality in Cedar Creek, catch insects, use the field for large activities... It's really helpful. Plus, there's a decent bathroom and a great play structure if we finish a lesson early.

You can take the tubes wherever you want which is nice. They're super easy to blow up and have a mesh bottom to hold your belongings close by/shield your bum from rocks. He gave us a hand pump to use to blow them up when we arrive at our location. Drop off was just as easy, we texted him when we were 5 minutes away and he came outside when we needed to drop off! Would definitely rent from him again if we are ever in the area!
