Had a great experience here! I was a loyal customer previously for over 10 years but rates went up and I was out of there. After 2 years I decided to shop around again as my insurance at this time was almost $200 a month (and I'm a good driver). State farm was my last choice but I wanted to see if there was a "welcome back" discount or something,lol. There wasn't but after a phone call they were able to give me the same policy for much cheaper. I stopped over during my lunch time and Marcie was a doll. She went over everything with me and after speaking and signing away it only took half an hour,it was so simple to come back and I'm loving my way better rate then Progressive gave me. I have had State Farm insurance off and on for many years. I have always been happy to pay my insurance bill until I started with Bernie Carr's office. I must say that I have never spoken to Mr. Carr but some of the people he has representing him are terrible. The worst of which is a representative named Stephanie. This agent or whatever she is fraudulently took a payment from me. She stated that I owed a balance that I did not owe. When I explained to her that State Farm's records indicated I was up to date she asked to take a payment for my next bill, when I made that payment she applies it to my so-called past due balance that never existed. So in other words I owed $240 for the current month and SF records showed I owed $240. She said that I owed a payment from four months ago. I show her proof that I paid it and she says "ok we'll make your payment for this month". When I did that I check the website and I still owed $240!! She applied my payment to a past due balance that never existed. When I tried to call and speak to her she wouldn't answer the phone or call me back. I wondered why Bernie Carr's rating was so low and now I see why. Do not use this agent at all!! read more

This has been the worst insurance agent I've ever had. I started with Bernie Carr State Farm a few years ago with a 2005 Toyota corolla paying $154/ month with full coverage. I recently change my vehicle to a 2012 elantra and my premium increased to $180. I didn't really understand why but didn't make a big deal about it. Ever since then, every month my premium has increased and I just paid $247 for December. I've never had an accident or made an insurance claim and my driving record is clean so I don't understand why my premium is so high. My problem is that every time I have called my agent to ask why my premium increased, I get a bogus story, then she decreases my coverage to lower my bill and tells me that my bill for next month will be lower but then the opposite happens and it actually increases every month. State Farm and their agents are a bunch of thieves and I will no longer do business with them. I will let everyone know how this agency does business. read more

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESE CROOKS! Our family has been with this office for over 10 years and royally got screwed by them. First off they were charging us for uninsured motorist on each individual vehicle rather than stacking it which costs significantly less. When I discovered the issue I contacted the office and were told they couldn't answer why were were being charged individually rather than stacking. I was speaking to Anna when these changes were made and she mistakenly removed Comp & Collision from one of our vehicles without our verbal or written authorization, meanwhile still charging us the same amount every month. We only realized what had happened when that very same vehicle was vandalized and needed repair. Of course we were pretty livid at this point and asked to speak to Bernie Carr who is the main agent. Bernie lied to my father in law and blamed me for the fact that this policy change was made, just to cover his employee's mistake. I then spoke to Bernie directly at which point he changed his story and said he didn't even know if we had Comp & Collision coverage on that vehicle to begin with. So, he lied to both my father in law and to me. Apparently he's used to telling so many lies that he can't even keep them straight. During that same conversation he also took the blame and lied to me again stating that he would rectify the issue and call my father in law and I to keep us informed about getting this resolved. Instead, a week later no phone calls and no updates. I then called his office this morning and Bernie acted like the conversation we had never happened. He even went as far as to completely contradict everything he said in our previous phone call. At this point we are completely fed up and are cancelling our policies as well as handling this matter legally. This review is also going to be forwarded to State Farm Corporate so they can see how their agent lies and cheating causing loyal State Farm clients to never return to State Farm again! read more
